I bought the The Boots No7 Beautiful Skin Quick thinking wipes on an impulse during a visit to my nearby Boots store for some cosmetic shopping. I normally buy the Boots Essentials cucumber wipes and find them very good. The only issue I have with them is that the seal tab at the top of the wipes sometimes loses its stickiness and I end up with an open packet, without any seal, resulting in dried out wipes. So when I saw the Boots Beautiful skin Quick thinking wipes I decided to give then a go, as they came with a proper solid plastic lid on top, that looked very convenient to use.I also had a £5 off voucher for no7 skin care,so I decided to use that on these wipes and grab myself a bargain. ****PRICE AND AVAILABILITY**** The No7 beautiful skin quick thinking wipes are a part of the Boots own, premium skin care products range called no 7. Most No7 products are more premium, more attractive looking and more expensive than the normal boots own brand products. The No7 Quick thinking wipes can be bought from any Boots store or from the Boots website i.e. boots.com. Their normal price is £7.00 .On and off, Boots do discount vouchers for No7 products, that you get when you spend more than £5 on shopping in the store. These vouchers give you £5 off on No 7 skin care products. So if you use these vouchers you can get these wipes for £2. Sometimes there are also 3 for 2 or other price bargains on Boots skin care as well, making it possible to get these wipes at a lower price. ****PACKAGING*** The No7 beautiful skin quick thinking wipes come in a white plastic packet with a pale blue plastic lid on top. This lid ensures that the wipes stay moist inside. Beneath the lid there is a plastic seal for keeping the wipes further air tight, before first use. There is a total of 30 wipes in each packet. The packaging is rather plain, in contrast to the other no 7 skin care products, that have far more premium looking and fancy packaging. The packaging states the wipes are hypo allergenic and suitable for all skin types. You can also see the instructions for using the wipes and also a list of ingredients at the back of the packet. ****WHAT DO THE NO7 WIPES LOOK, FEEL AND SMELL LIKE? **** The wipes are plain, without any texture or ridges. There color is plain white. When you unfold a wipe you notice that they are bigger than most facial wipes available in the market. In fact their size reminds me of baby wipes. They are nice and thick. Also they are quite flexible and don't rip or tear easily on stretching. Although the packaging says that they are fragrance free but I do smell a very faint, subtle and nice fragrance when I use them. The wipes are very soft and smooth. They feel very luxurious and silky while wiping your face. They moisturize your skin while using. After using the wipes the face feels cold, fresh and clean. I do feel that after using the wipes my face feels a bit heavy and full of product. Especially in summer, after using these wipes I feel as if I am wearing a lot of thick moisturizer on my face. This is most probably because my skin is oily and does not require any product that further moisturizes it. ****WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THESE WIPES**** The best thing about these wipes is the packaging. They come with a plastic lid on top which is very easy to open and close. This makes it easier to use the wipes and ensure that they are totally sealed when not in use. Also the size of the packet is very compact and small, making it possible for me to carry the wipes around with me when I am out and about. These wipes are fragrance free and hypo allergenic. I have acne prone skin and don't use products with heavy fragrance with fear of activating another acne attack. The hypo allergenic feature gives me further peace of mind. The size of the wipes is nice and big making them convenient to use. Also they are plain and not textured like some other wipes I have used. Because of their softness I can use them even on my acne affected area and also the sensitive area around my eyes, without any worry. The wipes can be used where ever and whenever I need them. Especially while travelling they are very convenient for removing make up and cleansing. Instead of packing and carrying a pouch full of cotton rolls, pads, cleansers etc, I can just carry these wipes with me and travel light. The wipes remove makeup very brilliantly. Even if I am wearing heavy makeup they work quite well, removing both foundation and eye makeup very easily. For heavier eye makeup I sometimes have to use 2 or 3 wipes for a perfect clean. But the eye makeup is removed very softly and doesn't require any rubbing. The wipes don't sting the eyes as well. The packaging of the wipes promises that they can be used to remove water proof mascara as well. But I don't wear water proof mascara so I can't say for sure if there is any truth in that claim. ****WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THESE WIPES**** The biggest downside of these wipes is obviously their price! Is it just me or is £7 for just a pack of face wipes is way over the top? The wipes are of great quality and the plastic lid on top is very convenient but, both of these features do not justify the unreasonably high £7 price ticket. These wipes are much more affordable when you buy them just for £2 with the £5 off voucher. I seriously doubt if any one actually buys them on their full price. Looking at the quality of the wipes and packaging, I think that it would have been more reasonable if £2 was the actual price of these wipes . This makes me wonder if the wipes have been designed to sell at only £2 and the £7 pound price, with a discount voucher of £5 is just a selling gimmick by the company designed to attract more sales. Come to think of it aren't they almost always giving those £5 off vouchers throughout the year? This raises some serious questions about the sales ethics of these retail stores. Another problem I have with these wipes is that, I think they leave the skin feeling really heavy and over moisturized. I have oily skin and like using wipes that remove the oil and make my skin feel light after use. But after using these wipes my skin feels full of product and heavy. Especially during summer, I end up with having to wash my face after using the wipes just to get rid of the uncomfortable oily feeling they give. I think that, although they are advertised as being suitable for all skin types, they are not very good for oily skin, especially in summer. ****CONCLUSION**** The No7 beautiful skin Wipes cleanse the skin very well and are brilliant at removing make up. But on the down side they are too expensive to buy at full price. Also I think that they are not suitable for oil skin especially for summer use. ****MY RATING OF THE NO7 BEAUTIFUL SKIN QUICK THINKING WIPES IS 3 OUT OF 5**** *******THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR READING MY REVIEW******
These wipes are not the cheapest you can get - but, for me, they are the best for removing makeup at the end of the day, when all you want to do is roll into bed exhausted - getting rid of the day's grime and left over makeup and leaving your skin moisturised and soft. Despite making many New Year's resolutions to start a full on skin care regime I still find that life is too busy and time is too short for messing around at the end of the day when my pillow is calling me! I have found these Boots No 7 wipes to be a fantastic compromise - allowing me to feel virtuous that I have removed all the makeup and grime and the built in moisturiser has left my face feeling at least a little bit pampered. The wipes come in a pack of 30 for £7 - I must admit I never pay full price for them - I always wait until the No 7 £5 off skincare voucher is being handed out - usually for a £4 spend - I accumulate a few vouchers and then stock up with a few months worth of wipes at £2 per pack. They are sealed with a plastic clip shut seal on the outside - which I find keeps the pack moist right up until the last wipe - and have an inner plastic seal too, so you can be sure they are completely hygienically sealed until you open them. The pack is a nice compact size - the wipes are folded over so are bigger than the pack square size. Really useful for taking away from home on trips and holidays. I find one wipe is enough to remove basic daytime makeup - I use two if I've been on a big night out and pulled out all the makeup stops with full on foundation, eyeshadow etc. I use No 7 Extreme Length waterproof mascara and find these wipes remove all traces of it very effectively. I give these wipes 4 stars because I do feel they are rather expensive - but if you look out for the special offers that Boots run on a regular basis you should be able to pick them up for a much more reasonable price.
Honestly the good thing about no7 is that they have regular offers on their products and also give vouchers at most Boots stores. Without the voucher I honestly wouldn't have tried these as they retail at £7 and I couldn't really afford to pay this much for a pack of 30 wipes when you can go to a shop and pay £1 for 60 wipes. However I did want to try these and had a voucher to purchase these for only £4 which I still consider expensive. I would rate these wipes as good and I have stocked up on a few using vouchers to save money. They are great for your skin and leaves it silky smooth after using them. I tend to use a normal wipe first to remove my mascara and then another to remove the rest of my makeup but then I would use one of these after. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and moisturised and I don't apply moisturiser after because they do the job perfectly. I have oily skin and normally use a matte moisturiser to try and control the oil but I still like using these wipes. I would recommend them however I still wouldn't pay £7 per pack.
I really quite like the Boots No7 range of make-up and cosmetics, and have made several purchases from the brand in the past. I do like getting the regular "£5 off Skincare" vouchers that are regularly gifted from Boots, and will usually use them to purchase some of the skincare items from the Boots No7 brand. During one of the last promotions, I purchased a pack of the "No7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes", with this review outlining my experiences of using this product. The pack of wipes contains 30 individual wipes, which is quite generous, as many other branded wipes only contain 20 or 25 wipes inside. On the down side, however, the purchase price of the No7 Beautiful Skin wipes is significantly higher than most other brands that I purchase regularly, coming in at £7 for the pack. Of course, using a "£5 off Skincare" voucher at the time of purchase allowed me to get the product for only £2 which is much more affordable for me personally. The packaging is in keeping with the rest of the skincare items in the No7 range, comprising of an understated image that is verging on being rather plain. The plastic, square-shaped pack is presented in a plain white colour, with the plastic lid opening being coloured in a pale blue shade. There is nothing particularly eye-catching or vibrant about the product's appearance, but I can't say that I am bothered too much about such matters. A valid point to note here, I think, is the fact that the No7 pack has a good-quality closure on the front, made of robust plastic rather than a label closure. This style of closure is far superior to those that consist of a sticky label on the front of the pack in my opinion, as they easily and effectively keep the packaging sealed properly. This design feature has meant that all of the wipes inside the No7 have remained completely moist during use, ensuring that none have become dried out and useless; a valid point, considering the rather high price tag of this particular product. The wipes themselves are quite plain-looking in their appearance, I must admit. They are plain white in colour, and are folded inside the pack, so that when one is removed there is no instances of any more attaching onto the wipe you are removing. Unfolding one of the wipes before use reveals its impressive size; it is considerably larger than many of the other brands of facial wipes I buy regularly, and I have found that one single wipe is enough with each use. The No7 Wipes have an extremely soft feel to them, and they are without any sort of 'textured' surface or abrasive feel, which I confess is my preference when considering a product like this one. Other wipes have a 'textured' feel to them that feels as though it is slightly exfoliating to my skin, and whilst this can be useful in helping to thoroughly cleanse skin, I do confess that this design is not always best suited to my sensitive skin, and I do often find that facial wipes with a slightly 'rougher' texture can be slightly too harsh for my own skin type. This is not an issue with the No7 Beautiful Skin Wipes, however, and I have noticed that they feel extremely soft and gentle during use which suits me down to the ground. Another valid point to note, I think, is the fact that these particular wipes don't feel overly 'wet' when swept over the skin. This might sound silly, but some other branded wipes feel rather too moist for my liking, and when used at this time of year, this can feel cold and harsh on my delicate face. The No7 Wipes, in comparison, feel considerably gentler than this, and their ability to cleanse my skin without leaving it coated in moisture or residue is favourable. Indeed, no tackiness or 'stickiness' is evident on the skin after use, which is ideal for me. I have found that the No7 Beautiful Skin Wipes cope very well with removing make-up, and even when I have applied more than usual - for a special occasion, perhaps, one single wipe will effectively remove all traces of foundation, powder, blusher and concealer. When removing eye make-up too, I find that there are no traces left behind, with the Wipes easily coping with the dark eyeliner and mascaras applied at the eye area. Again, I am able to witness a more 'gentle approach' to make-up removal from these wipes than when others are considered and compared; the No7 Wipes seem to 'lift' the make-up from the delicate eye area easily, rather than me requiring to scrub or wipe excessively around the eyes. This is a crucial point for me, especially considering how some other branded wipes have made my eyes feel quite sore and raw after use. Another plus point for me personally is the fact that the No7 Wipes are free from any scent or fragrance; whilst many rival products have scents that are fairly unobtrusive, there are many others I have purchased that have an annoying 'sickly' scent to them, and I can't say that I am particularly fond of using products with strong scents on my face. I find too that these scents can often linger on the skin, so the No7 Wipes, being fragrance-free, feel much more suited to my own requirements. After cleansing my face with the No7 wipes, I have felt that my skin is squeaky clean, with all traces of make-up or residue being thoroughly removed, and without any dryness or sensitivity being inflicted. My skin looks fresh and clean, and it does so without any tackiness remaining on the surface. The No7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes will remove "even waterproof mascara" according to the packaging, but I cannot comment on this further, as I do not use waterproof cosmetics. The packaging for the No7 Beautiful Skin Wipes boasts that they are suitable for "All Skin Types" and are "Hypo-allergenic." Based on my own experiences, I do completely recommend them for those consumers who, like me, suffer with sensitive skin issues, as the wipes have caused nothing in the way of irritation or aggravation to my hyper-sensitive skin. Taking everything into account, I do feel the Boots No7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes are a worthwhile purchase, particularly as they seem so compatible to my sensitive skin type. I would definitely buy them again, but ONLY if they were available at a reduced cost, or with the use of a money-off coupon. The full price of £7 for these wipes DOES feel like it is a bit over-inflated to me, personally, as I have achieved similar results from other brands of wipes that cost half this amount. To reflect the over-inflated price tag of the product, I am deducting one star from the product rating score, on this occasion.
I usually use cotton wool and mild express cleansing water to remove make up. But one day I had Boots money off voucher and got No7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes. It was a discovery for a conservative beauty product user like I am. Pack of wipes has an excellent design. Praised by many people, lid really does its job well. The texture of wipes is good, removes make up well enough, but it did not remove waterproof mascara well enough for me. Having really sensitive skin, especially in the winter, I found these wipes too harsh for me. My skin gets irritated on the second or third day of use. I find use of wipes very handy for travel. I would love to find mild enough wipes to replace my cleansing water bottles and cotton wool packs for my travel bag, but unfortunately No 7 Beautiful Skin wipes can not help. Having 30 of them in the pack I was stuck with the idea how to utilize them. And one morning being in a rush before my friend's visit I used them to wipe the bathroom surfaces - it worked brilliantly. All surfaces, especially metal parts, were shining... My husband even asked me what I used to polish metal parts so nicely. I was glad to hear appreciation of my efforts, but it left me with a question: is it really mild enough for skin? And for a bathroom cleaner is it too expensive...
No 7 beautiful skin wipes ====================== At £7.00 a pack, you'd expect these wipes to be brilliant, and that they are. My partner works in boots and I get a discount on these so I tend to buy them and use them sparingly. Inside you get 30 wipes which remove make up and dirt from your face including waterproof mascara which can be stubborn and tough to get off. Upon my first trialling of these I was shocked to how well they were taking my make up off. With other wipes or make up remover I'd used in the past, I would always struggle with getting mascara off completely as when I'd wake up the following morning, I would always have panda eyes where the left over mascara that didn't come off would come off during sleep and leave me looking a bit like death. The texture of these wipes is excellent. They are so soft, thick and luxurious that when using them, it doesn't rub or hurt my face at all like some wipes have done in the past. If you have used a lot of mascara you just need to rub gently with your eyes shut and wipe downwards to clean you lashes. It takes just a minute or two for your whole face to be rid of make up which is perfect. I would say even at £7, they are worth every penny as the quality of these is excellent. Some wipes are so thin and scratchy that they leave your face feeling raw afterwards but these are excellent and leave your skin feeling nourished and soft. Would I recommend? ==================== I recommend these wipes to anyone who uses make up and needs something to get rid of stubborn waterproofs or if you have more sensitive skin, these would be lovely and soft and not irritating at all. they are Hypo-Allergenic too which is good for those with reactions to harsh beauty products. I give Boots' No7 wipes 5/5 stars for being an excellent tool in my make up bag and save me a lot of hassle trying to scrub off my make up. They come with a nice plastic lid so there won't be any dry wipes when you next go to use them. Where to buy- Boots no7 counters £7.00. (Quick tip: Sometimes Boots give out £5 off any no7 skincare product vouchers and can be used on these wipes so don't throw it away, go straight to the no7 area in boots and pick some up!) Thanks for reading my review Helen190390
Facial cleansing wipes are one of the best skin care products around in my opinion. They're practical, time-saving, and easy to use. I always have a couple of packs at home ready for taking of heavy make-up or a quick cleanse before bed time. The latest ones I've been using are these No7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes which are part of the No7 skin care range produced by Boots. The product description for this item seems to be almost identical to the Boots No7 4-in-1 Quick Thinking Face Wipes, so I'm not entirely sure if these are a new, separate item, or if they've just been rebranded. The wipes cost RRP £7.00 and are available exclusively from Boots. Using my No7 money off voucher I was able to purchase them for just £2.00. Product description: "Specially created for when you're short of time, these gentle, fragrance-free wipes sweep away impurities and remove all traces of make-up, even waterproof mascara. With Pro-vitamin B5 to moisturise and soften, plus extracts of witch hazel and fennel to clear pores and leave your skin feeling smooth and fresh." Recommended directions for use: Pull one wipe from the pack and seal the lid again straight away. Close your eyes and sweep over your face and neck. There's no need to add water. Please don't flush away. The packaging is a little different to most other facial wipes. It has the usual sort of plastic outer wrapper, but there is a hard plastic hinged lid on top that clips in to close down fully. Underneath this lid is a peel-back seal which can be removed and then stuck back down again after removing a wipe. This double effect seal helps to keep the wipes in fresh condition and the wipes stay moist even after the packet has been opened and used time and time again. Each pack contains 30 wipes, and this will usually last me over a couple of months, as I prefer to use a proper face wash when I'm able to, and reserve wipes for a quick-fix or to remove particularly heavy make-up. The wipes themselves are a basic pure white coloured cloth that has a very wet feel to it. I liked that the wipes were more moist than most others I have used before, as this makes them feel very gentle on the skin and makes it a lot easier to spread over the skin without dragging or pulling, and also gives a nice cooling feeling. The cleansing wipes are made of a thick fabric which seems to have a denser weave than other facial wipes I normally use, giving a heavier fabric which means they are stronger and unlikely to tear, fray, or stretch as you are using them. To use these cleansing wipes I simply rub over my face in the same way that I would wash with a flannel. As they are already wet you can use them without water and this makes the whole process very speedy and mess free. I rub the wipe over my face, starting from the chin and working upwards so as not to pull the skin down, and then I finish off by paying particular attention to the eye areas. These wipes make light work of removing make-up, and my base products such as foundation, highlighter and blusher, all come away with just a quick sweep. I try to be very gentle when removing my eye make-up, and because the wipes are so moist it loosens my eyeliner and mascara easily so I don't have to scrub hard to get it away. I have sometimes had trouble in removing long-stay mascara, but these wipes are reliable and have always worked to remove even the toughest make-up for me. Afterwards my skin feels cooled and refreshed. The wipes leave my skin fully clean and manage to completely remove my make-up which is great as I can use just the one product for all my cleansing needs. They are quick and easy to use, and are really effective. My skin always feels soft and clean after use, allowing me to finish off my skincare routine with toner and moisturiser. The wipes are suitable for all skin types and I can say that they have always seemed gentle on my skin, and I have never suffered any sort of irritation from using them. Although these face wipes really are excellent, I begrudge paying a full £7.00 for the pack and will usually go for cheaper versions which seem to do the same sort of job. I only ever buy this version if I have received a Boots No7 voucher offer which means that I can purchase them at a heavily reduced price. I would recommend these facial wipes as they are gentle on the skin but do a thorough job of cleaning and do seem to be superior to cheaper alternatives. A nice product from Boots that I would buy again, but only when on offer!
I first used these about 2 years ago when I got a packet as part of my no7 set for xmas and for me they were one of the best things in the set. On their own they retail in boots for £7, but if you get £5 off vouchers (which boots do every so often with a £5 spend) or do 3 for 2 then they can work out to be a very good price for what you get. I use face wipes only really when I wear make up on a night out as its good at getting all the make up off, most face wipes Ive used tend to leave my skin quite dry the day after but the boots no7 wipes don't do that. I would recommend these for all skin types and they are even suitable for sensitive skin. Definitely recommend next time your in boots and you happen to get a £5 off no7 voucher to use it to buy these with.
Ordinarily I would purchase a stores own branded facial wipes as I use them most days and so go through quite a lot of them. However, the last time I was in Boots I forgot that I needed wipes until I got to the counter and saw some No7 beautiful skin quick thinking wipes and so as I had a £5 off No7 skin care voucher I picked them up as a one off. This is my review of the wipes. I have used, and actually reviewed the No7 four in one wipes that the No7 brand used to offer but they don't seem to do those anymore and this wipe seems to be their replacement. The wipes come in a mainly white plastic packaging which has a pale blue hard plastic lid on. I do like it when wipes have the hard plastic lid as I think this keeps the wipes fresher inside the packaging but I do think you tend to pay more for a brand with the hard plastic lid. On the lid there is a label which has the No7 name and the product name too. We are told on the label that these wipes are suitable for all skin types and that they will remove even waterproof mascara. In a pack of these beautiful skin wipes you get thirty hypo-allergenic wipes and it will cost you £7.00 at full price. If you have a voucher for No7 then you can make these a much more reasonable £2.00 and in all honesty I would never pay £7.00 for face wipes anyway as I have found that Boots own branded ones which are around a pound a packet work well for me. You can use these wipes for up to six months after you have opened them but as I tend to wear make up daily a pack only lasts me around a month anyway. If you wear make up less frequently or only use wipes occasionally obviously they will last you longer. Inside the pack the wipes are easily pulled through the gap in the lid and I find that only one comes out at once which is nice. They are a good size, although I wouldn't say any bigger than any other brand. I think the wipes do feel a bit thicker than the store brand own ones I normally buy and so they do feel a bit more luxurious but I still don't think it justifies the high price tag! The wipes smell quite pure and remind me of the unscented ones that you can buy and I presume this is why they are hypo-allergenic. When I come to remove my make up with these wipes I find they remove all of my make up quite well and in particular they do seem better at removing my eye make up. As I tend to wear eyeliner and mascara most days it means I do need a good quality wipe to deal with that. I don't have to rub too much at my face when I am removing my make up and of course this is a good thing. These wipes contain vitamin B5 to soften your skin and also witch hazel and fennel to clean pores and leave your skin feeling soft and cleansed. I do think they leave my skin feeling nice but I always apply the No7 protect and perfect night cream after I have removed my make up as well. These wipes are nice to use and I do feel they are a bit more luxurious than my usual wipes. Sadly though I cannot justify paying full price for them. I think at £2.00 a pack with the vouchers they are a nice buy but £7.00 is just too much for any facial wipe in my opinion. They work well at removing all of my make up though and make my skin feel nice and soft. Thank you for reading my review!
The only reason I tried Boot's Quick Thinking Wipes was because I had a £5 money off voucher for any No 7 product. Everything seemed quite expensive, but as I needed some facial wipes anyway, I parted with my £5 voucher and had to pay only £2 in difference for this pack of 30 wipes. I would never personally pay £7 for a pack of facial wipes from anywhere, to be honest, as I think that's way too expensive. I was happy, however to pay just £2 for them. These wipes are just like any other most facial wipe I have used. Possibly the only slight difference is the packaging in that they don't have one of those soft sticky strips across the top to get the wipes out - these ones have a more robust type of clicky down lid, which I prefer. It still doesn't justify the ridiculous price, however. The wipes are white in colour, quite moist have a pleasant smell (not too floral or flowery) and they are suitable for removing all types of make up, including waterproof mascara. They feel and look strong and they don't shred or break apart when I use them. Each wipe comes out one at a time and I can vouch for the fact that they do remove my make up well and though I don't use waterproof mascara, I cannot say if they work well for this type of make up. One wipe is usually all I need to be able to remove all of my make up. They leave a nice fresh feel to the face initially though I can detect a small amount of residue on my skin after I have used them and I feel the need to wash this off as it feels slightly tacky. If I don't wash my face pretty soon after using these, the residue sort of dries onto my skin and starts to make it feel 'tight'. Overall, I have to say hat I have used far better wipes which have cost considerably less money than these. I do think they are very overpriced for what they are and I wouldn't pay full price for these - ever! They are moist, they do freshen (but only initially) the skin and remove make up well but I don't like the feeling they leave behind on my skin afterwards. I give them two stars out of a possible five.
When I go away, I seem to have to take a huge bag full of toiletries and hair care products, so to try and cut back, I use facial wipes rather than taking my cleaners, toner and cotton wool. I am not loyal to any brand of facial products, but in the past, I have used Boots No 7 Quick Thinking Wipes. Boots boast that these wipes are able to move all traces of makeup, even waterproof mascara, I can say that my makeup does come off quite easily when I use I don't have to rub my face hard, just gently sweep all over. I don't tend to wear waterproof mascara as the brand I wear isn't so I cannot confirm whether they remove this easily. I have skin which is prone to spots, especially if I don t remove all my makeup every evening, when I use these wipes, I haven't encountered any reactions, or break outs of spots so I would say that they do a good a job or removing everything from my face. The packaging has changed recently; the packet is now white with a pale blue plastic lid. I found the lid really effective at ensuring that the wipes stay moist (I have left a packet of these along with a cheaper brand which has a seal like a pack of baby wipes in our caravan over the winter months and 5 months later, the No 7 ones were still usable whereas the other brand had dried up completely). It is really easy to remove the wipes from the packet, when you pull, only one comes out so I don't end up having to stuff some back in or throw any away. When you remove the wipe from the pack, they do have quite a luxurious feel about them, they are really quite thick compare to other brands. As with most No 7 products, these are hypo allergenic and suitable for all skin types. The recommended retail price of these wipes is £7 which is for a pack of 30 wipes and they are exclusive to Boots, available both online and in store. I find the retail price a little steep and I would never pay this for them, I tend to buy when I have a £5 off No 7 voucher so they only cost me £2, I feel this is a lot more reasonable and in line with similar products on the market. Overall, these are good wipes and do what they should and leave my skin feeling quite soft and fresh when I have used. I would recommend when they are on offer but because of the expensive price tag, I would only give 3 out of 5 stars. Thanks for reading.
I had used Boots No7 4 in 1 wipes for a few years when they stopped selling them in stores. They were replaced with these 'Beautiful skin' wipes and initially I thought they had just updated the packaging but these wipes are a different product. The Packet These wipes come in a white pack with a pale blue plastic lid. It states that they are Quick Thinking Wipes. I really like the plastic lid on these wipes as it ensures that they stay wet between uses which is only once or twice a week for me. Each pack contains 30 fragrance free, hypoallergenic wipes which lasts me a good while. The Wipes These wipes are a good size and are made of a soft material, although not as soft as the 4 in 1 wipes. They are wet enough to clean your face but don't leave your face feeling wet. They claim to remove waterproof mascara and they always remove mine without too much of a problem but not as easily as make up remover and cotton wool does. However they remove all my other make up really easily. They leave my skin feeling clean and refreshed but not particularly moisturised, well not to the level that I am used to from my normal moisturiser. I tend to use the wipes before I go to bed and so still use my normal night cream after them to moisturise my face. It is much quicker to use one of these than doing my usual cleansing and toning which is why I like them, if I'm really tired it means I get to bed a few minutes earlier! The wipes are hypo-allergenic and suitable for all skin types, I have combination skin and they work well on it. My Mum has very sensitive skin and she is also able to use these wipes without any reaction. Price and Availability These wipes are £7 for 30 wipes, I think this is on the expensive side and I only ever buy them when Boots have their £5 off No7 voucher offer on, which they currently do. For my occasional use I find I never run out. As a Boots own product they are only available from Boots stores and Boots.com Would I recommend? Yes, these are good quality wipes as you would expect from No7 and are worth a try is you've not used wipes before. I have only given these wipes 4 stars due to the price.
Using the vouchers No7 frequently hand out becomes a bit of a compulsion for me and each time I spend at Boots I get more vouchers it seems so I have had a bit of a splurge recently. The facial wipes always seem to be best value so I tend to stock up on them when the vouchers are handed out. I bought this pack of Beautiful Skin quick thinking wipes not realising I hadn't tried them before but I realised when I got home that they were slightly different to the normal No7 wipes I buy. Packaging The packs have 30 wipes inside which will last me ages as I prefer a cream cleanser with cotton wool but sometimes when I am already in bed and remember I have to still clean away make up I will resort to these. The packs are white plastic with a blue trim and a solid plastic dispenser that helps to keep the wipes fresh and moist. The packaging states that these wipes are hypo allergenic and will even remove waterproof mascara. In use The wipes are larger than an average face wipe I think but similar to the size of a baby wipe. When you pull it from the pack it is folded and requires a bit of pulling open to use. One wipe is enough to do a full face and I leave the eyes until last as they tend to have mascara on them and I don't want to be wiping that all round my face. Afterwards my face feels a little tight so it's a must to apply some moisturiser as I hate that tight feeling. But it is clean and free of make up. My thoughts I like these wipes and think they work really well to clean and tone the face. I have had no adverse reaction to the wipes and have been using them sporadically for a couple of weeks now. Price The packs cost £7 full price but can be bought for £2 with a voucher, you also get Boots points on them. I think these are priced with the voucher in mind as the sales assistant commented that they are a best seller when the vouchers are being handed out. Final word I would not pay £7 for these, they are not worth that but I think that they are definitely worth £2, I find them easy to use and handy to pack in a bag for travelling. I use them to clean off make up at the end of the day but they are also good for fixing make up mistakes if you splodge your mascara. I like to have a pack of these close by at all times as they are easy to use and make my skin feel clean. Definitely a repurchase for me, I will choose these above all other brands of face wipes (as long as I have a voucher!). Recommended purchase, I know a lot of people who like and use these wipes regularly.
I like the No7 range and used it frequently when I used to work there. I no longer work there but still shop there regularly as you'll be able to tell from my reviews! I got a No7 voucher for £3 off make-up and £5 off skincare which is better than their old voucher in a way because now you get two vouchers instread of one but before you used to get a fiver off the cosmetics which was brilliant. The wipes cost £7 for 30 which I think is rather pricey and I'd never pay that much but with the £5 voucher, you get them for just £2 which is definitely justifiable. The wipes come in a white packets with a blue plastic lid. The packaging is really simple with a bit of info and the No7 logo on the top, simple but smart. When you open the plastic flip lid, the wipes are sealed with a sticky tab which I leave on after opening to help keep the wiped fresh. As with all No7 products, these wipes are hyo-allergenic so they're suitable for people with sensitive skin. They're also fragrance free so will prevent your skin from getting dry when you use them. The wipes themselves are OK. They're pretty thick so they don't rip when you use them and they're quite moist but not enough to be able to ring it out. You can smell a slight fragrance but I'm assuming this is just the natural smell of the products used rather than added fragrance. I don't cake my make-up on but I wear enough to look decent (I hope!!) during the day. The wipes easily remove all traces of my foundation and blusher. Because I often use waterproof mascara, the wipes aren't brilliant at removing it. My eyeliner comes off but I tend to just smudge the mascara around so still need to use a remover or moisturiser to get it off. I tend to use two wipes of an evening when removing make-up before bed. After using the wipes, I still need to get my mascara off which is added hassle considering you're using a convenience product. My face is clean of make-up but my skin doesn't really feel clean or nourished after using these wipes either, I still feel like I should go and wash my face in the bathroom as my skin doesn't feel like it's been cleaned or moisturised at all. I think these wipes are OK, they do the job at removing make-up so they're great for use after a night out to use quickly before jumping into bed but on a daily basis, they're not great. I prefer to spend an extra five minutes and just wash my face with face-wash and warm water as I feel much cleaner and refreshed. I only really use these wipes now in the morning after putting my make-up on. I get foundation and make-up on my hands whilst putting it on so use a wipe to clean my hands before getting dressed. For £7, I'd expect them to remove all of my make-up. Given that I didn't pay that much, I can't moan too much. I wouldn't really recommend them, there are much cheaper wipes on the market that I'm sure will do a better job.
I bought my latest packet of No.7 wipes when I received a £5.00 No.7 voucher in store at Boots. No.7 is a brand created by Boots so these wipes are only available at Boots stores or www.boots.com. When I first started using wipes by No.7 a few years ago they cost £5.00, but the price has crept up over the years to £7.00 and they have changed the name of the wipes from '4 in 1' to 'Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking' wipes. With my £5.00 voucher, I paid £2.00 for these wipes. I remember getting No.7's wipes for free with a No.7 voucher, which are given out regularly by Boots, many years ago. I'm sure they only put the price up to stop people from getting these wipes for free with the vouchers as £7.00 for a packet of wipes seems rather excessive! ~ Packaging ~ The wipes come in a plain white packet with a baby blue hard plastic lid on the top. The plastic lid is hinged and it opens to reveal a white resealable tab, which you pull back to reveal the wipes. The blue plastic lid has a white sticker on with 'No.7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking wipes'. There are 30 wipes in the packet and they claim to be suitable for all skin types. I think the packaging looks fairly cheap. The only information on the front of the packet is written on a sticker on the top of the blue plastic lid. The back of the packet says, 'Specifically created for when you're short of time, these gentle, fragrance free wipes sweep away impurities and remove all traces of make-up, even waterproof mascara.' ~ Use ~ The wipes themselves are thick and moist. They feel good quality and are difficult to rip or tear. They are unscented. I most often use them after nights out when I'm wearing, perhaps more make-up than usual and I just want to go to sleep! I find that they remove all traces of make-up effortlessly and leave my skin feeling clean and bare. The packet says, 'With Pro-vitamin B5 to moisturise and soften, plus extracts of witch hazel and fennel to clear pores and leave your skin feeling smooth and fresh.' I find these wipes to be very effective and I think the wipes are probably wetter and definitely thicker than cheaper brands I have used. ~ Overall ~ Overall, I think these wipes are good quality, handy and effective and I like using them. However £7.00 is a lot to pay for a packet of 30 wipes. You can pick up a 30 pack of wipes elsewhere for as little as £1.00 and although I don't think the cheaper ones are as good quality, the cheaper ones are still effective. I would not purchase these at full price, but would consider buying them again with another No.7 voucher, which are given out every so often in Boots when you spend over a certain amount (which I think is £10.00). I would not recommend them at full price, but for £2.00 I'd say they are worth it. 4 stars because they are overpriced.
