No 7 Lift and Luminate Night Cream

I received this product as a free sample when I purchased some Boots No 7 products and because I liked it I bought a full size tub.

WHAT DOES IT PROMISE?

The Night Cream allegedly produces mini miracles while you sleep, by chasing away the signs of ageing and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Because the cream is rich and easily absorbed, it sinks into skin, leaving it feeling softer, more supple and moisturised. It does all of this because it contains anti ageing and energising complexes which work together to make skin firm tone and smooth skin, and apparently after 4 weeks skin will look younger.

PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...

The cream comes in a 50ml tub with a screw on/off lid. I like the idea of a tub because it means I can get the very last bits of cream out and so none is wasted.
The cream itself is nice and rich but not overly thick so I don't worry that it will be too heavy for using every night. It is white in colour and because of the consistency of the cream, a little goes a long way and I find that a few dots of it on my face is enough to ensure it is applied to my whole face. It is very lightly scented although the smell is not one which I can immediately name although I would say it is more floral than anything else.

USING IT...
The cream should be applied all over the face after cleansing and toning. It does massage in easily and there is no feeling of oiliness or greasiness which is nice.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...

The cream costs £22 for a 50ml tub of the stuff. Its not the cheapest cream but because a little goes a long way it does last a long time. I have had mine a month now and there is still some left.

It is available instore and online at www.boots.com

VERDICT...

I will definitely buy this cream again, as it suits my skin well. It is nice and moisturising and leaves my skin feeling fresh and well moisturised without any oiliness. I don't think it would be any good for younger more oily skin since it is rich, but it is marketed at the more mature skin.
I haven't noticed any reduction in lines and wrinkles but didn't really expect to, and have given up hoping for miracles from any cream that promises them. That said, my skin does feel more supple and less dry, which is great because in this cold weather I find that my skin needs a bit more moisture.

Recommended as a night cream
