No7 is a brand exclusive to Boots. For a high street brand, No7 products can be highly priced in comparison to others sold in Boots but with the aid of £5 No7 vouchers, available most of the year, No7 products become more affordable.

This cleanser retails for £8 ( £3 with the voucher ) and for this price you get 200ml of product which will most probably last for 2-3 months.

The cleanser comes in a tall translucent bottle (allowing you to see the product inside) with the No7 logo in metallic gold lettering. The bottle also has a pump which makes for convenient use.

"No7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin cleans, comforts and hydrates. No7's facial cleanser is non-drying and pH balanced, it works in harmony with your skin to leave your face clean, comfortable and radiant. "

The cleanser is quite thin is consistency and a very pale pink colour with what I would call a standard un-perfumed scent.

I have Dry skin and having this be for Normal/Dry skin I thought that this would be perfect, let me just say, I know now why this wouldn't be suitable for oily skin types.

Let's start with the positives of this product. Firstly, it is very gentle on the eyes and removes the make-up easily off the face, though with two or more applications need to be used otherwise make-up will still be left on your face, and skin is left soft. This shows that the cleaner lives up to its claims. I also find that it doesn't dry out the skin and it is left looking radiant and smooth.

With radiance, comes shine and this is where the negatives begin. This cleanser is oily and grease and your face will look like you've just run the marathon. Rest assured nothing a patting down with a towel to your face can't solve.

I also find one claim in the name ( poet and I didn't know it!) is not met. Soft and Soothed. This cleanser does the complete opposite to soothing for me. When I use this is can feel my face become redder and it begins to sting, my spots also become red and visually more obvious. This cleanser definitely irritates my skin and puts me off using it. Definitely not a cleanser suitable for those with sensitive skin.

Overall it does the job for me and for £3 I cannot grumble too much but I feel that there are better cleansers out there that are much gentler for your skin. However if your skin is a tough cookie, this may work fine.

Thanks for reading.

Summary: Does the job.
