I am of my mature years now, I am lucky enough not to have too many wrinkles for my age and I take really good care of my skin. I have done so since I was a teenager and I am hoping this is one of the reasons I do not have so many wrinkles, well that's what I keep telling myself when I look in a mirror lol but maybe I am just one of the lucky ones because I do my beauty routine every day to keep my skin nice and healthy looking, who knows.
I have tried a few wrinkle creams in the past few years just to help the ones that I do have, I have tried some of the best ones on the market and when I had a voucher to use against a no 7 product a couple of months ago, I decided to buy this wrinkle filler to see if it helped. It cost £16 for a 30ml tube. I have been using it for around 6 weeks or so and I have tons of filler left in the tube and so a little really does go a very long way with this one.
The tube is an ivory colour, it has no 7 in gold writing at the top of the tube and it has the name in black writing on the front. A pretty basic design but quite nice in my opinion. It has a screw off top and there is a nozzle at the end of the tube. The nozzle is quite a small length but an adequate size to use the product. The filler inside is white in colour, it has a nice smooth, soft texture to it and it can be easily squeezed from the tube. The filler does not feel sticky or is too thick a consistency on the skin, it is also does not have any smell that I can detect.
It is very easy to use, all that is needed is to place the nozzle into the wrinkle you want to cover and just squeeze the tube very gently into the wrinkle and move it along the crease line. Once the wrinkle is covered and filled with the cream, it can then just be tapped with the fingertips, very gently to tap into it. I find it dries very quickly with this one. It takes approximately 2 to 3 minutes. It does take a steady hand to apply it but once it has been used a few times, it does become second nature. I find it feels nice and soft on the skin. It kind of feels like a moisturiser in my opinion and is not too thick. I use a thicker wrinkle cream and that one takes a little longer to dry but this one is far quicker.
Once it has dried, I have been applying a second coating, I have found that it does give a better covering applied twice for some of my deeper wrinkles, these deeper wrinkles just need a little extra attention. I feel it is covered much better with 2 applications for these deeper ones. It cannot be seen on the skin once applied and make up can be applied soon afterwards. I find that my foundation sits nicely over the top of the filler and causes no problems in the look and texture of my foundation.
When I have not applied foundation over the top, I find it feels nice and soft to the touch and feels the same way as when I have applied a moisturiser. It has not irritated my skin at all and cause me no skin problems. It is a nice gentle filler, it is not too heavy for the skin and fills my wrinkles perfectly. I would say if you have any really deep wrinkles all over the face that this one probably would not be so suitable. My mum has tried this one for her few, deeper ones and it has not worked so well for the much deeper ones. For lighter ones or just to make some look a little finer, I would definitely recommend this one. It is very good value for money and extremely good quality.
It does state on the back of the tube to use after a moisturiser and I have tried it both with and without moisturising and found it to be just the same and not made any difference in the look of the wrinkle. It can be used to top up during the day if necessary but I have found that just the one application is just enough to help my wrinkles and I am happy with the results.
I really like this one and I highly recommend it, but I would only recommend it for mild wrinkles and not very deep wrinkles. For my own wrinkles it works fine because I am of my mature years and I have only been using this one for around 6 weeks and so it does take a little longer than this length of time for this kind of product to work but I think if you are much younger, this one can help the wrinkles much more and cover them much better. I think it is super and it gives me all the results that I expect from a wrinkle filler for my age and I am very happy with the results so far.
I give this one 5 stars.

Thank you for reading my review and I hope it has been of some help.
Whilst I may only be in my 20's, I did have a need to buy No7 Instant Illusion Wrinkle Filler. I'm very short sighted, but when I was younger I was determined to not wear my glasses because I hated them. This caused me to squint at everything and unfortunately caused me to develop a frown line between my eye brows. I now wear contact lens, however this frown line is here to stay and it's an annoyance to me as whilst the rest of my skin is wrinkle free (as it should be in my 20's!) this frown line always stands out. I had been meaning to try a wrinkle filler for quite some time however it wasn't until I got one of those famous £5 off No7 vouchers from Boots that I decided to purchase their Instant Illusion Wrinkle Filler.
The product promises a vanishing trick, claiming to magic away those lines and wrinkles in an instant. It is a light and velvety-soft formula that promises to leave the skin looking younger, smoother and more radiant. For my purpose, I wasn't bothered by the promise to make my skin look younger, instead I simply wanted it to smooth away my rather deep frown line and make my skin look smooth and well, perfect! The wrinkle filler has a 'unique optimised blend of soft-touch spheres and reflecting pigments that form a light diffusing cushion on the skin.' A lot of fancy words there, but again it's full of good sounding promises and I was eager to give it a try.
The wrinkle filler comes in a 30ml cream coloured tube, it's simple and but looks elegant, and it does seem like you are getting quite a lot of product for your money. To use the filler, it instructs to use it as the final part of your beauty regime, and should be used after moisturising or after applying your foundation. It needs to be applied directly into the line or wrinkle, so it is quite a precision based task, and if I had several lines to apply this too, I probably wouldn't bother as I imagine it would take quite some time to get through them all. I apply a small amount directly into my frown line, and then as directed, I gently tap the product in along the line, and then smooth away any excess product. To help it sink into the line properly, I gently pull the skin apart on each side and tap the product in gently. It's easy to smooth off any excess product, and whilst the application of the product requires time and effort, I only apply this to one frown line so it doesn't bother me so much.
The result is instantaneous as it promises. I can immediately notice the difference and my skin appears much smoother and you'd have to look much more closely to notice the frown line. It doesn't make it disappear completely, but I am happy to see that it does actually make a difference. Unfortunately whilst the result is instant, the lasting effect isn't as good. The product seems to wear out as I frown during the day, and unless I keep my face expression free through out the day, then I will need to touch up several times if I want my skin to stay looking smooth. I have tried a few different things to see if I can change the longevity, such as applying moisturiser carefully before hand, or dabbing it with face powder afterwards, but each time I have been disappointed with how long it lasts. I would say that within a couple of hours the product seems to have worn off. It was never going to be a product that I would wear daily, it would be too much of a faff on a morning when getting ready for work for example, but it's good enough if I'm going out somewhere, however I am conscious that it won't last several hours.
Overall the wrinkle filler is good for a quick fix solution to any deep frown lines or wrinkles you may have, but it won't keep them covered for long and touch-ups will be required. The price of this 30ml tube is £16.00 which is expensive, however I paid £11.00 as I had my £5 off voucher, so if you are wanting to try this out I would recommend waiting for this offer as it is a frequent offer that Boots do.
