... lid, and the tube has a pointy nozzle, possibly to help just to dot small amounts of the serum onto the skin. The serum itself is a whitish colour with a pearly shine. The smell is not strong, but when you can smell it has an odd fragrance that reminds me of plastic or glue, so not a great smell, but not strong either, you can only really smell it if you stick it right under your nose.

Often she is more interested in the bag the products come in, so while she spends time with the packaging, I get stuck with the contents, and this is how No.7 Beauty Serum found its way into one of my facial beauty routines. Apparently there is a difference between Protect and Perfect Beauty Serum and Protect and Perfect Intense Beauty Serum, but other than it being £1.50 more expensive I can't tell what it is. My old bottle ran out and I bought the Intense version by mistake, to me they seem the same. 30ml will set you back £21, but believe me it is worth it. It comes in two different dispensers. I like the glass bottle because it feels reassuringly expensive and quality in my hands. The glass it opaque and matt, is quite heavy and stands nicely on my dresser. I have been using this product for a couple of years now since the hype following the TV programme stating it actually works. I remember popping into Boots everyday for weeks until it was instock. I'm not normally good at following a good skin care routine. I use a cleanser that is the same as I used as a teenager, I don't use toner and I use either Boots No 7 or Clarins moisturiser depending on what I am given for Christmas. I'm not sure why I was so desperate to try this. I think probably because I am now mid 30's and have been told that is when to expect wrinkles to appear!! Being 19 years old i have never used an anti ageing cream or serum before!! I received a sample size tube of this 'Protect and Perfect Intense Beauty Serum' in a No7 gift set for my birthday a couple of months ago. I never bothered using it as i didn't see the point that is until a few weeks ago whilst getting ready for work with the world's worst hangover I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror and thought it was my Nan!!!
