Knowing that I like to try products before I commit to buying a larger size my other half bought me this Burt's Bees gift set as a present, much to my delight! The idea of the set is to give you a taster of wise range of Burt's Bees products without having to commit to buying them individually in full size. I think it's a great idea as it saves wasted money on products you don't like, and lets you try things that you wouldn't necessarily buy otherwise.
The kit is widely available online or from shops such as Boots. It's currently £12.16 on Amazon and £14.99 in Boots. The kit contains six miniature products:
Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme (20g)
Burt's Bees Hand Salve (8.5g)
Burt's Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion (25g)
Burt's Bees Fabulously Fresh Peppermint & Rosemary Body Wash (50ml)
Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm (4.25ml)
Burt's Bees Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream (20g)
The sizes of these products also make them ideal for travelling or keeping in a handbag, and gives more than enough product for you to make an educated decision as to whether or not it's for you.
Coconut foot crème:
This crème comes in a small tube with a screw top lid. The cream smell absolutely delicious, and contains coconut oil which gives it a rich but delicate coconut scent which lingers on your feet. It's a thick and gel-like, and sinks into your skin surprisingly quickly. It doesn't leave a residue and seriously helps patches of dry skin, it has especially helped my dry heels which have thrived after using my tube of this. To use simply rub into your feet.
Ingredients: Glycerin, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Lanolin, Parfum (Fragrance), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Quillaja Saponaria (Quillaja) Bark Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Oil, Tocopherol, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Canola Oil (Huile de Colza), Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Coumarin, Limonene, Linalool.
The salve comes in a small metal tin, it can be a bit fiddly to open as it's small and also can get stuck if you get product underneath the lip. The salve is off-white and thick, almost solid. It has a very herbal smell to it - rosemary and lavender really stand out for me. A little goes a long way with this salve, and it lasts a long time. It's very intensive, and a little greasy when applied, but it really does moisturise your hands very effectively. My tin has been well used and I've hardly made a dent in the amount in there, so it's a great value product. Just rub it in gently, especially in dry areas and leave it to sink in and work it's magic.
Ingredients:Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Beeswax, Lavandula Hybrida (Lavandin) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Powder, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Canola Oil.
Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion:
This lotion comes in a small orange bottle with a screw top lid. The colour reminds me of make-up foundation and the scent is much more subtle than I expected - the honey isn't as overpowering as it is with some products. The lotion is also very thick in the bottle, you need to give it a good shake to get it out. Once it's applied to your skin it feels much lighter, and the subtle milky/coconut/honey scent lingers for some time. I use this on my arms and legs and have found it's kept them lovely and soft, and it's a good general lightweight body moisturiser. Simply rub it into the desired area, it sinks in quickly, and again a little goes a long way.

Fabulously Fresh Peppermint & Rosemary Body Wash:
I'm not the biggest fan of herby smells, especially in body washes, but the peppermint makes this one quite pleasant, it's also invigorating and great for the morning. This is another gel-type product, and lathers well. It feels quite creamy on your skin and leaves you feeling clean and fresh. It's a good product to have for a household of males and females as it can be used by both. It has left my skin feeling nice and soft and the scent grows on you the more you use it. Simply lather in the shower like any other body wash and rinse well after.

It as a pleasant minty smell (and taste), and feels nice and rich on your lips. It genuinely moisturises them for a long time after application and still lingers during eating and drinking, it's also fantastic for windy days and have made a noticeable difference to the condition of my lips, it's also very soothing on chapped lips as I found when I first started to use it. Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream:
A product I had never heard of before. This cleanser is rich and creamy, and white in colour. In simple terms in a facial cleanser, which is especially effective at removing make-up whilst still moisturising your skin. It has an earthy smell, not not too herbal and I find it quite pleasant, camomile and aloe are definitely in there. It's quite thick on your skin and you don't need much, but it does need a good rub to lather it up. Once rinsed off it leaves your skin feels very soft and totally refreshed, at also removes all make-up that I've used. To use, apply to a wet face, lather well and massage in, rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

I am absolutely delighted with this kit and think it's a wonderful present. It lets you try a lot of products, and some which I never would have bought before (like the soap bark cleansing cream). It gives you enough product to try each properly and to see if they work for you and your skin. The full sized lip balm in a bonus, especially as it's the one product which most people will definitely get on with. The pack is also the perfect size for travelling, so it would be a great gift idea for anybody going on holiday. Or, why not just treat yourself? I would recommend it! 5/5
