The Caudalie beauty elixir is product which has been raved about in the beauty industry recently, after Victoria beckham tweeted about it. The brand which created it, Caudalie, has been creating skincare products for over 30 years, with tremendous success. In France is it currently one of the leading skincare providers, and recently made its way into the UK. It can be found in the larger boots stores across the nation or online. For 30mls of the product, it costs £9.95, however I've seen it much cheaper in some online stores.

The product itself is marketed as something between a toner and a serum, to refresh the skin. You can spritz it onto your face before applying moisturiser but can also be applied over your makeup throughout the day to freshen your skin. The main ingredients are 'extracts of grape essential oil of rosemary, orange blossom and rose extracts, benzoin, peppermint, myrrh essential oils of oraganic balm mint and mint'. The product is supposed to smooth, tighten pores and give a burst of radiance to the complexion.

I've been using this product every morning after I cleansed my skin using the bioderma crealine micellar water solution and then apply moisturizer afterwards and I feel like it really wakes up my skin. The peppermint is pretty strong and very noticable on application, and then the scent settles into a sort of floral scent. I find that after applying my makeup my skin just seems a lot brighter, and i think it really has something to do with this product.

I also from time to time use it as a facial spritz in the hot weather we are having to just refresh my makeup. It produces a very dewy effect and is very cooling on the skin. It also leaves a tingling sensation which tells me its doing something, however small. Finally i haven't had any new dry patches, areas of irritation or breakouts which is always a plus point.

For the price, I think this is an amazing product to add an instant boost to skin. I've used this everyday for the past month or so and still have most of the bottle left. I feel like it goes a long way in helping create the perfect base for makeup
