This stuff is brilliant for pregnant bellies! I was bought this for my birthday when I was pregnant with my son. I put this on my tummy every day just before my tummy started to grow. I put 4 stone on in my pregnancy and before this had never been big in my life and all of sudden I was huge. People were amazed by the size of me.
I did not get one stretch mark on my tummy and I believe its because I used this wonderful Clarins oil every day.
My second pregnancy was different. I was quite lazy and forgot about putting the oil on my stomach. I still put on 4 stone and was very large and because I didn't put the oil on I got a few stretch marks across my belly button. I really regret not using the Clarins oil. For all those pregnant ladies out there reading this - I recommend you buy this to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. It is very expensive though, and if you use it every day and have a big bump then its only going to last you about a month.
If you can't afford the clarins oil then I recommend olive oil - not as nice but works just as well!
Well...when I had a surgery...sorry...I can not tell what kind of surgery...hum...ok....ok...I had a lipposuction!!!...*blushes*...hahahaha...The result after the operation was fine, but somehow, its makes my skin became like a "sponge" texture. Especially around the area where they suck the fat out from me (I need to think a better way to explain this...hehehe) suck as my stomach, my hips, legs and arms. I just hate that. Than a friend recommended me this "Tonic" oil from Clarins. First I thought just made fun of me because its says for after-pregnancy. Strange I thought (especially no baby came out of me, just fat...*giggle*). But I decided to give it a try. First impression....its must be like aromatheraphy stuff...because its smells like herbal and a bit menthol. The smells is so light and I started to like it. Its took a while to rub it all over your body and wait a while until you can get dress, but the wait is worth. After about 3 weeks, I can tell the obvious difference of my skin. Its became firmer and the "sponge" texture turned smoother. 1 bottle last for 1,5 months if you use it all over every day....with GBP27/100ml bottle its definietly not a cheap treat. But the price is worth every penny. When I almost finished my second bottle, the "sponge" texture is completely gone. Now, I still keep using it and buy it frequently. Even no more "sponge" skin. Its just because I like the freshness after I put it on my body after shower. I dont know its has a function as body moisturizer or not, since I'm from tropical country and England is too cold for me, after I use this body oil, I also use my regular body moisturizer to make sure winter in England not gonna make my skin dry (otherwise, I'll feel itchy...c'monn scratching your skin is not a solution to attract English guys...hehehe). I definietly recommend this product. The key to see the result is wait until you
finish the bottle. Believe me, once you see the result, you wont regret it.
A friend recommended this product to me who used it throughout her pregnancy. So when I became pregnant and being a sucker for a new product I rushed out and bought it. The usual retail price is £26.00 but I managed to buy it from a beauty products website (island trading) and got it for about £21.00, still expensive though. It is yellow in colour and the only way to describe it's smell is a typical aromatherapy smell, quite light and fragrant and not offensive. You can use this oil all over the body as it's aim is to improve skin tone so if you have just lost some weight and want to improve your skin texture then this would work for you. However I just use it on my now expanding belly and hips, unlike other oils this sinks in fast and I can get dressed after waiting 5 mins which isn't bad, it leaves skin glowing moisturised and silky smooth. Although unfortunately it is not a cure for avoiding stretch marks altogether (what is?) it certainly has kept any itchiness away and I feel I am looking after my skin by using it. Apprantly Helena Christensen uses this as a body oil!
