Advantages: gentle, not overly coarse, creamy, soft skin, blemishes, price
Disadvantages: colour scheme, not powerful
I have used this scrub for well over a year now and thought I would share my experiences of it with you lovely dooyooers.
This clean and clear scrub comes in a fairly standard squeezy bottle/tube. The main body of the tube is made of flexible plastic which makes it really easy to squeeze out everything you need. The lid is make from a harder plastic and flips open to reveal a small application hole through which you can push out the contents. The colour scheme is a deep blue and purple which fades to a lighter blue. I find this colour selection a little incongruous with a face scrub as I would usually associate either fruity smells and colours or something very light and fresh. The darker tones in this packaging seem more akin to a male scrub than one for women but if the product works then I have to say I don't really care about the look of it all that much. The design is very functional, the size is handy for travel and also for holding easily when in the bath or shower. Overall, aside from the colour scheme I like the design of this bottle and find it really easy to use and apply.
The scrub itself has quite a creamy consistency and smell to it. It has medium sized scrub granules in it which are moderately dispersed throughout the cream. This isn't an especially coarse scrub, nothing like St. Ives for example, and is therefore best for a gentle exfoliation. I don't tend to use mine every day but because this scrub is relatively gentle you definitely you without any adverse results. I think the consistency is nice as it makes a change from some of my harsher scrubs, but when I really want to wash away dead skin I tend to opt for something other than this because it isn't especially powerful.
The effects it has on my skin is really nice. It always feel smooth afterwards and very refreshed, with much of the dead or dry skin being washed away. My skin never feels irritated by it and though I don't use it everyday if I wanted a daily scrub this would be a great choice because it is gentle but works well. In terms of getting rid of blackheads I probably don't use it regularly enough for it work on combating all my blackheads, but I do notice is has a positive effect on any blemishes I have when I use it. It tends to reduce the redness and irritation of these areas, and I think they probably dissipate more quickly.
This scrub costs £3.69 from boots and is well worth the investment is you wanted a gentle scrub that does the job. It has lasted me over a year with semi-regular use, and if you used it as a daily scrub would probably last you for 3-4 months I would have though.
A gentle scrub which smooths my skin.
Summary: A nice gentle scrub.
