Clean & Clear Morning Burst When it comes to facial products I tend not to be brand loyal. If something doesn't work I won't buy it again. This is where this comes in, the previous product hadn't been working so I picked this up as part of a multibuy offer. The product comes in a bright orange squeezable bottle (Slightly different to the one shown in the image). The product stands on it's flip top making it easy to get out even when it is running out. The gel itself has small grains in, as well as larger orange coloured beads in two different shades - which are supposed to burst. Although they do seem to burst I have never managed to see what comes out of them. The product claims to 'gently ex-foliate, leaving your skin invigorated all day' - well the product does seem to ex-foliate, although this does not negate the need for a deep old proper scrub product to be used on a weekly basis. I can't say I felt any more invigorated by this than any other face wash to be honest... The other claim on the bottle is that it is made with vitamin C and ginseng - and this is true as far as I can tell, it does smell kind of spicy. The green version of the product had the distinct smell of toilet cleaner by the end of the bottle, and this had a kind of cleaning product smell to it also - although not as badly as the other bottle did... I bought this product on offer 2 for £4, and the retail at about £3 each in many supermarkets, so it was reasonably priced. I have to say that I wouldn't recommend this really, there are nicer, more effective products out there that cost about the same. I was a bit disappointed as I had thought this would be more effective than it was to be honest... Summary: I wouldn't buy it again
Normally on my face I use superdrug tea tree wipes and their facial scrub but last month when in the Chemist waiting for my daughter's prescription I had time to wander around the aisles and I saw this facial scrub. It was on offer for £1.99 and you can never have too many facial products so I decided to give it a try. The facial scrub comes in an orange 150ml tube and is transparent so you can still see the product inside so you know when it is nearly finished! It is also an upside down tube, so stands upright and the lid is at the bottom, which when flicked, reveals a hole through which the facial scrub can be squeezed through. The facial scrub is actually a really thick gel consistency with lots of exfoliating microbeads within. It's really orange, and just squeezing a small blob of the wash into the palm of my hand, the citrussy, vibrant orange smell is really strong and powerful. Upon application to the face, it can also be felt and the fruity sensation sure is enough to wake you up in the morning incase you were still feeling sleepy! I use this by applying it to my damp face, and using my hands or a flannel I scrub in circular motion to create a nice, plentiful lather and really give a good go at removing all the dirt and shine off my face! The microbeads are rather fine, and they can be felt upon scrubbing my face, so as to aid the removal of dead skin cells and perhaps leftover makeup but they are not rough in anyway as I have had some scrubs which feel really coarse and harsh when scrubbing. I wash this on my face for about a minute or so, and literally a dollop about the size of a 50p coin is sufficient to cover all my face well and create enough lather and wash to do a good job. Afterwards, I towel dry my face and I feel really refreshed and rejuvenated! My skin looks a lot clearer, and I feel this has improved with black heads which for some reason I can get quite a few of. The only small downside is this does feel quite unmoisturising, and as I find with all face washes/wipes/toners I have to apply a face cream straight after in order to feel normal again! Overall, this is a lovely face wash and I do feel it helps me feel refreshed in the mornings with a clear face to set me up for the day. It's not great at preventing me getting spots (that's probably due to my awful diet and lack of drinking water!) but I find the exfoliating beads great for removing blackheads. Due to my face feeling dry afterwards I feel I have to knock off a star but otherwise I would recommend this and re-use it again and again.
I found a sample sachet of this in my toiletry stash so thought I'd review it! I was a bit dubious on first appearances as the product is a yellow thin gel, with orange beads in it - not your usual facial product colours! It is meant to have a citrus fragrance but it smells quite chemically to me - which put me off slightly, but with the promise of 'clean, smooth & beautifully energised skin' I thought I'd give it a go anyway! I have found some previous Clean & Clear products harsh on my skin so was surprised when it lathered up well and felt very creamy and luxurious. The exfoliating beads didn't feel too scratchy, and I could feel them working which was a bonus. Although I'm still not convinced with this 'Bursting Beads' technology I keep finding in facial scrubs - this one hasn't changed my opinion that they are a gimmick! After I had used this scrub my face did feel thoroughly exfoliated, but it also felt quite stripped of any moisture, which I thought wouldn't happen as it was so creamy when I was applying it. The packaging states that this scrub should be used daily for best results, however I think that this would be too much for sensitive skin types like my own. I wouldn't buy this product again, as I think there are better products out there, but using a sample size made a change from my usual facial scrub.
***** Introduction ***** I have always tried to take cars of my skin, so every morning I start with a good facial scrub that cleanses and cleans my skin perfectly. I have always used body shop scrubs in the past, but last week while is was shopping around my local superdrug store I found his Clean and clear on offer of £1.49 so I just had to try it. ***** Clean & Clear Facial scrub ***** This clean and clear is a facial wash produced my Johnson and Johnsons, it is a product that is used on a daily basis to produce the best possible results. I find this is not only a facial wash but exfoliant in one, as is has a gel type wash the is filed with little tiny beads that burst as they a scrubbed around my face, so this way I get a nice deep wash as well as exfoliated skin. The main ingredient is vitamin C with a am a huge fan of as I have sensitive skin and this works perfectly for me and I do not have any kind of reaction. This is a 150ml squeeable tube that allows you to squeeze out a small amount of cleansing gel at a time, this also aviods waste. ***** My opinion ***** I am so happy I have found this as it instantly leave my skin feeling silky smooth and totally hydrated. which is brilliant for me first thing in the morning. for the price i am very impressed and i recommend this to you all.
This face wash is part of my daily washing routine. Its one of the products I will always make sure that I have at home and never run out of. After getting quite bad skin, I decided I needed to try a new face wash and scrub. I was reccommended this by a friend and luckily it was on offer in a shop at the time, so this is when I first purchased it. The smell of it just wakes you up alone. A great fruity and spectacular smell that really gets up your nose. I started to use it and felt the exfoliating beads on my face, but not painful like many of face scrubs I have tried. After massaging in and eventually washing off, I found my face to be very smooth, which I was surprised with at first. From the first day I used it, I noticed how much it had woken my up which did I feel make me have a better and happier day, as I was getting the bus to work and could actually open my eyes, no matter how tired I was. It took only a matter of 2 days to notice was skin was getting in a lot better condition, so I would highly reccommend this product. However I did start to notice the same problem after using this several times. About 30mins to an hour after using this, my skin would start to dry and tighten up. This wasnt the most comfortable thing when sitting on a bus, however it wasnt unbareable. This was something that I havent experienced with other face scrubs, but it doesnt stop me using this product, as it has been great for me personally. Highly reccommended, and look out for the offers in the shops! Great to get it at a bargain price!
I have, like I am sure many of you fellow woman, gone through a hundred beauty products looking for that perfect one. Everything from Face scrubs, cleansing milks, toners and creams. But it really all comes down to how much money you can spend on a product, and for me its usually within the 5 euro range, ha! So the other day when I went into the pound store and saw clean and clear morning glow, on the display shelf I grabbed the chance. I have to say I am not disappointed, while it may not be a leading brand on the cosmetic market, this face wash was delightful. It has a fresh orange look about it and actually pleasant faint citrus smell. The bursting beads that it advertised are not actually hard enough to exfoliate, but do add a nice texture. However, what I liked the most about this wash was that it really acted as a excellent makeup remover! It got rid of even pesky mascara, within record speed, not all my face washes will do that so I was pleasantly surprised. It leaves your skin dry, but not feeling parched and it has a even smooth feel which is great for a foundation base. I will buy this product again, its a great inexpensive, long-lasting face wash, that also acts as a great makeup remover at night.
Well, this is one of the million face scrubs I've tried and it was nothing special, it looked as though it would be brilliant but on closer inspection it was just a strange jelly like scrub with a few exfoliating beads floating around in it. I think it origionally cost £3.99 and even though it does last a while, the price isn't worth it for something with barely does the job. Other face scrubs I have used tend to be a lot rougher which is what a face scrub should be like after all whats the point of a face scrub if it can't scrub the dry skin off right? this one was more like a face...wash. Theres now a new improved version of this out and thats the "shine control" daily facial scrub which again I have tried and it doesn't do what it says on the tin either. Someone help me out here! Overall: £3.99 is a lot to spend to rub some strangely decorated jelly on your face in the morning. I have no idea why they say "bursting beads" then tend to just stick on your face and thats about it. Very dissappointing, a facial scrub for wimps who can't handle the real thing.
I am still on the look out for the best face wash for me; I have tried quite a few different ones some cheap and some expensive and have just not found that one! I like a face wash to leave my face feeling clean and not to dry out my skin and a few I have tried have come close they have still not quite felt right. They have either left my face feeling slimy or dry or just not clean, so I decided to go back to a range that I have used before and got on with. I use the clean and clear blackhead wash when the dreaded blackheads poke their heads up so looking in Superdrug one day I noticed this new wash in their range, so did I finally find the face wash for me? PACKAGING It comes in the usual stand up tube plastic packaging, the main colour is orange and the lid is purple. The lid is a flip top that always seems to get messy and blocked but that could just be me! The clean and clear logo is very prominent on the front and the Johnson & Johnson name. PRODUCT STATEMENT New clean and clear morning burst facial scrub is specially formulated with effective cleansers and bursting beads, which burst with energy and vitamins to refresh the skin. It also contains gentle scrubbing beads that exfoliate away dull, tied looking skin to reveal softer more radiant skin. With an invigorating citrus fragrance that will instantly enliven your senses, clean and clear morning burst facial scrub leaves you looking and feeling energised for the day ahead! USING The directions are to gently massage all over the face avoiding your eyes and then rinse thoroughly. The first thing I noticed was the scent it does smell of citrus mainly orange but the scent is not very strong and is quite light. You don't have to squeeze the wash out of the tube as it is quite runny and as soon as you open the lid it will pour out onto your hand but this does make the inside of the lid quite messy and you have to be careful how much comes out as it can be to much. The wash is clear in colour with little tiny cream and orange beads, the texture is not as sticky as a gel and actually doesn't feel slimy on the skin. To use I just damp my face with water then get a nice blob of the wash in my hand and then gently rub all over my face. You can instantly feel the beads working on your face, I can't say that I have felt them bursting but they do feel a bit grainy like sand not uncomfortable and at least I feel that my face is being scrubbed! (No puns about scrubbers needed thanks!). After I have finished scrubbing its then on to rinsing, the wash comes off quite easily not like some I have used which have been harder to remove. The best thing about this wash I have found is after using and drying my skin does feel soft and not dry at all, even after using for a long time there is no dry patches, spots or blemishes. For me this is a big plus as my skin can be a bit sensitive and react to a lot of these products, it leaves my skin looking fresher and feeling really clean. I can't say it leaves me energised for the day ahead because to be honest it takes about 10 cups of coffee to even get me close to energised! So have I finally found a face wash that I will buy again? Well in a word YES, I really do like this one it ticks all the boxes that I am looking for and it's not an expensive brand either. I can't say that I will use it forever but for the moment it is the best one I have found but then a women is allowed to change her mind if a better one comes along isn't she?
