Normally on my face I use superdrug tea tree wipes and their facial scrub but last month when in the Chemist waiting for my daughter's prescription I had time to wander around the aisles and I saw this facial scrub. It was on offer for £1.99 and you can never have too many facial products so I decided to give it a try.

The facial scrub comes in an orange 150ml tube and is transparent so you can still see the product inside so you know when it is nearly finished! It is also an upside down tube, so stands upright and the lid is at the bottom, which when flicked, reveals a hole through which the facial scrub can be squeezed through.

The facial scrub is actually a really thick gel consistency with lots of exfoliating microbeads within. It's really orange, and just squeezing a small blob of the wash into the palm of my hand, the citrussy, vibrant orange smell is really strong and powerful. Upon application to the face, it can also be felt and the fruity sensation sure is enough to wake you up in the morning incase you were still feeling sleepy!

I use this by applying it to my damp face, and using my hands or a flannel I scrub in circular motion to create a nice, plentiful lather and really give a good go at removing all the dirt and shine off my face! The microbeads are rather fine, and they can be felt upon scrubbing my face, so as to aid the removal of dead skin cells and perhaps leftover makeup but they are not rough in anyway as I have had some scrubs which feel really coarse and harsh when scrubbing.

I wash this on my face for about a minute or so, and literally a dollop about the size of a 50p coin is sufficient to cover all my face well and create enough lather and wash to do a good job. Afterwards, I towel dry my face and I feel really refreshed and rejuvenated! My skin looks a lot clearer, and I feel this has improved with black heads which for some reason I can get quite a few of. The only small downside is this does feel quite unmoisturising, and as I find with all face washes/wipes/toners I have to apply a face cream straight after in order to feel normal again!

Overall, this is a lovely face wash and I do feel it helps me feel refreshed in the mornings with a clear face to set me up for the day. It's not great at preventing me getting spots (that's probably due to my awful diet and lack of drinking water!) but I find the exfoliating beads great for removing blackheads. Due to my face feeling dry afterwards I feel I have to knock off a star but otherwise I would recommend this and re-use it again and again.
