I first started getting dry skin on my chin and around my mouth when I was about 14, I had absolutely no idea what it was at that time because all I ever used cosmetic wise was face wash for my acne. I never wore any make-up what so ever. I go so frustrated that my face felt tight and tried rubbing it with sand paper! As luck would have it my grandmother's friend gave her some of the original Morning Burst moisturiser. I started using it and every time I washed my face and put some on then stepped outside my face felt amazing. Like I had just bathed under a waterfall. Then they stopped doing it for a while and I cannot seem to find it anywhere over here. I bought some of the new stuff in the pump bottle pictured above (before it was shaped like a conditioner bottle with the lid at the bottom) online.
You only need a small amount and it lasts for ages, it doesn't leave a greasy feel, it hydrates and it also has little tiny bits of shimmer in it. In the right light your face looks amazing.
The only disadvantage I find with it (apart from being a couple of pence overpriced) is that I use it every morning and straight after I shower which is every other night. After about twelve hours of not being used a little bit of the moisturiser gets clogged in the exit hole. I comes out as easily as the liquid moisturiser with one pump (and that is all you need) then it takes a sweep of the finger to pick it out and wipe it on some toilet roll.
I bought this product in combination with Clean and Clear morning burst face wash.
It comes in a nice package, where you have to push the top part for the cream to come out. It is simple and effective to use, you don't have to put your finger in a pot, which is more unhygienic, due to your finger carrying dirt.
The cream itself is white with a nice texture and a slight glow to it.
Upon closer inspection you can see small pieces of what appears to be "glitter", very small mind you, almost like sheer powder, blended in with the cream.
When you apply it you do so a faint glow, due to the "glitter", and I guess that's why the bottle advertises a "morning glow". The cream blends into your skin easily, and dosnt leave a greasy feeling.
This cream is nice for when I am going out and want to have a slight glow without putting on a shimmer powder, it isn't however suitable for me for everyday use. I found that although it isn't greasy, it did cause my skin to feel so after a few hours, unlike other moisturizers that have kept my skin feeling smooth and "dry" all day.
Clean and clear morning glow moisturiser by Johnson & Johnson.
Ok I've just wrote a review for my favourite moisturiser of the moment but clean and clear I have a bottle of and I use it for special occasions IE when I'm going out under my make up!
Firstly let me tell you about the packaging of this product....
Its in a plastic creamish slightly iridescent recyclable bottle with a purple pump action button.
Its not a posh bottle but its not totally naff neither!
On the back of the bottle it says formulated with natural skin brighteners for healthy, energised and naturally brighter skin.
The product itself....
White slightly iridescent liquid not too thick but not terribly runny either.
Smells very pleasantly fragrant.
Hard smell to describe but its sweet and has a fruity smell though I cant say of what fruit.
It doesn't smell overpowered and doesn't smell cheap and nasty.
On contact with face its smoothing and does make skin softer and does give a slight shine but not a greasy look.
This is why I use it under my make up!
It doesn't 'feed' my spots being an oil free formula and people do say that my skin looks fresh and it doesn't feel heavy or mask like.
As I don't use this moisturiser often its lasted me months!
It hasn't ever clogged or changed smell or consistency and one pump covers the entire face.
I cant say anything negative about it, its just great.
Available in chemists and supermarkets i think I paid £2.49 in boots when it was on offer.
Overall a moisturiser that gives a smoothness and a soft sheen!
