“ Brand: Clean & Clear / Type: Blemish Control / Subcategory: Treatment / Gel „
I love this product SO much. I must confess, I am addicted to squeezing spots. You know when you get one of those bulging ones that explode? Well I pop them then use this to reduce redness. I used it the first time not expecting any miracles but within two hours it was smaller and after four hours it was just a dot on my face that was gone with a bit of concealer. Oh my word, I have never come across such a product. It does have some form of alcohol in it and it smells a bit like whiskey.
It comes in a tiny tube (the one I get anyway) and you only need a tiny amount, less than pea sized for one spot. Sometimes you may feel a faint bit of stinging but that assures me it is working, and fast.
It is a clear gel and is very small. Handbag friendly and this product (the tiny small tube) will last you months.
Having stated before that I am very prone to Spots, I bought a tube of this the other month. I don't tend to buy little tubes of Spot treatment, as I find they don't normally work how I want them to. Often the claims have been that they completely get rid of stubborn spots, and I wake up and they are still there, so I just lump it often. Sometimes I get fed up and want a miracle product, and that's why I turn to things like this.
I have bought the Clean & Clear range for years as I find that their products are quite good, and don't seem to be as harsh on my skin as Clearasil or Oxy. Clean and Clear is made by Johnson's.
This product comes in a 15ml tube and cost me £2. This was on offer at Asda and I think the right price of this is about £2.60.
The Tube is alright looking. It is quite a flat tube and has a slight triangle shape to it that has been stretched a bit. It is thinner at the bottom and widens at the top. You can stand this on the lid easy enough. The main colouring of the tube is white but like the Dooyoo picture it has splashes of purple on it, and the Clean & Clear logo on the tube is easy to identify.
Although this says it is a Gel, It has quite a creamy consistency. The nozzel for this is a little hole and that way you squeeze the tube and just a little bit comes out of it. Since this is meant for to tackle individual Spots then you don't need a lot of the product. You just put a little blob on your finger and apply to the area you wish to treat.
The back of the tube states that the area you apply this should be clean, but I always make sure I apply this after washing my face, or using Clean & Clear Toner.
This rubs in well and just leaves a thin film over the area which absorbes easy enough.
So did this work? Well it did seem to treat my Spots. It didn't clear them up, but I haven't found anything that does in a really short space of time. It seems to take the redness away good, and seemed to shrink the large angry looking one quite well. Although it dried my Spot out, it wasn't drying on my skin, so in my book it was pretty good and something I will probably keep in the cupboard.
A good effective product which is at a good price, even the normal retail price.
I've been using this product for years now and I honestly can't fault it! I've always bought into the Clean & Clear range and they are now one that I really trust as every product I've bought of theirs just delivers over and over again.
It's an absolute nightmare when you wake up excited for the big night out you've got planned that night and hurriedly run over to the wardrobe to think about and re-think your outfit when suddenly you notice it - that devious lurker, lingering somewhere just underneath your skin! NOOOOOOOOOOO! You don't want to squeeze it because, as our mother's always told us "That'll make it worse!" and we all know that toothpaste really isn't a good way to go...so, what to do? I recommend you buy Clean & Clear Advantage Quick Clear Treatment Gel.
The formula has some great packaging - a great little purple and silver box holding the tube inside. The packaging feels really expenisve, juts like you're buying one of those pricey serums or something...just for a fraction of the price. The tube is a dinky size (perfect for handbag or make-up bag) and you may not think you're getting a lot for your money but trust me, it goes a long long way! You only need to use a tiny about on each affected area to get great results.
Clean & Clear claim that this product will reduce the look of spots within 4 hours and I'd have to agree - okay you're not going to get amazing results if you have full on acne so don't be fooled that this can in any way rival a medicated formula for serious cases - think of it more as a handy make-up trick for the occaisional break-out.
The first thing I love about this product is the feel of the gel. It's really silky and dries almost instantly when rubbed onto your skin with a nice, slightly tingly feel to follow. This product obviously contains an astringent so if you have badly dry skin I wouldn't recommend it as it may irriate more than help.
Another great thing is the smell! It's not a nasty, medicinal smell but instead smells like a fresh and flowery perfume! REALLY LOVELY!
Once dried, the gel forms a sort of 'barrier' over the spot and allows you to easily apply make-up and concealer over the top (without bacterial contamination of your brushes and products!). Even though it sort of 'seals' the spot in, it doesn't ever feel tight or uncomfortable. The gel also seems to anaethetise the area so that painful, swollen spots are no longer noticable along with the redness being reduced.
This is a fab little product - for men and women alike and at around a fiver a tube (which lasts FOREVER) you can't go wrong!
I am occasionally prone to a spot or two, but i am also prone to trying out all treatment gels available. I would say that this is one of the best. It is said by Clean and Clear to visibly reduce redness and spot size overnight. The formula is a spot fighting ingredient to unblock pores and by removing trapped dirt and dead skin. And honestly i would have to agree with them. it does work.
The size of the product is normally sold in 15ml bottles and is normally sold approximately between £4-£5 dependent on shop. It is sold in most normal retail shops such as Boots or Lloyds. The product bears the normal purple and white Clean & Clear sign and is in a purple and white bottle. The product is like a clear gel and is applied easily and does not show.
I think its a really good product and works well. I definately think it is worth a try.
Hamamelis Virginiana, Alcohol Denat, Alchohol, Aqua, Salicylic Acid, Hydroxythylcellucose, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Cinnamommum Zeylanicum, Cedrus Atlantica, Portulaca Oleracea, Allantion, Bisabolol, Hexylene Glycol, Sarcosine, Sodium Citrate, Parfum.
Clean & Clear Quick Clear Treatment Gel.
This product come sin a small, shiny silvery/light purple and white box. The packaging is actually quite attractive, it certainly caught my attention. Inside the box is a small tube of the cream, the same purple color as the box with a darker purple screw lid.
I paid £1.89 for this in my local supermarket. Although it was on offer. You can expect to pay anywhere from £1.50 - £3.00 for a small tube of this gel.
[Where can I buy it.]
Pretty much any of the major supermarkets and any shop with a health and beauti section. (Boots, Superdrug, Wilkinsons, Chemists etc) Also avaliable online at many places.
[What they say.]
Clean & Clear Advantage quick clear spot treatment gel is clinically proven to start clearing spots after only 4 hours.
It's unique formula, containing spot fighting ingrediants, quickly rebalances the level of oil, helps fights problem causing bacteria and effectively purifies the skin, all without irritating or over-drying.
After 4 hours, spot size and redness are noticeably reduced.
[What I say.]
I generally have pretty clear skin that I never really have any problems with. However, I have started to have a few problems before my oh so wonderful time of the month. (I'm sure pleanty of you ladies can understand where i'm coming from.) I have started to suffer from bad break outs during this time. I have tried MANY of the acne products on the market at the moment, all the major, expensive brands..down to the cheap ones. They either dry my skin out horribly, don't work, or make it worse!
On the hunt for something new, I noticed this on the shelf hidden behind some larger products. Reading the box, it looked promising. I noticed it on offer and decided to give it a go.
The tube in the box is unfortunately, quite small. I wouldn't suggest trying this if you have a large area to treat, or if you will need to use it alot..as it would get extremely expensive. But if you're like me and only have to use it a couple of days a month, or on a small area, it's more than enough to last a while.
The smell isn't very nice. It doesn't smell bad, but it's not very pleasant either. Although it quickly disappears after applying it. I did find that it made my skin sting slightly, but that reassures me that it is at least doing something!
I applied a small amount to the area I needed to treat and forgot about it. On returning to the mirror later that evening, I have to say, I did notice a difference! The spots looked alot less angry and red, they were less noticeable. I applied it again before bed and in the morning, again, it had made quite a bit of difference. It also helps dry them out and heal them quicker.
I did find that it did dry my skin out slightly, but nothing bad enough to stop me from using it. It does far more good than bad.
If you suffer like me, give this a try. It is very discreet and can be applied under make up. It isn't greasy or oily at all. Absorbs into the skin very easily and really does make a difference after a few hours!
Ironically, after deciding to try all 'natural' skincare products I broke out terribly resulting in a large cluster of pimples down each cheek / mouth area. It was then I decided to go back to regular, 'artificial' type products and where better to start than a spot treatment gel?!
Clean and Clear's "Quick Clear" claims to reduce spots in just 4 hours and since it's a clear gel it can be applied under or over makeup. It features a 'special spot fighting ingredient, which unblocks pores by removing trapped dirt and dead skin cells.' I applied to clean skin using a cotton bud. Upon contact with some of the pimples it does sting a little, but nothing unbearable in the slightest. After the first 4 hours, the surrounding skin appears less red and some blemishes are slightly smaller / dryer than before, but the results are nothing major at this point. However after a few more hours or if left on overnight this stuff seriously works. It substantialy shrinks larger pimples and flattens smaller ones. The surface of the blemishes become harder (a little tmi?), 'closing' them and reducing the chances of them being aggravated by face washes etc. Over the course of about two days, large, angry pimples will literally dissapear and smaller blemishes completely vanish. I definately recommend this stuff!
However for this to work, it needs something to penetrate into so it cannot even begin to tackle cystic, under the skin blemishes with no head. It also dries the skin out quite a lot leaving scaly, irritated patches so it is not as suitable for use on large areas of skin or for a pro-longed period of time. But for anything else, this really is a 'holy grail' product that I wont be replacing anytime soon.
I think I paid £4.70 for this in ASDA and it lasts a very long time so it's great value too :-)
Love Love Love this product !! Being someone who is prone to spot flare ups especially at that time of the month i was thrilled to find something out there which claimed it was able to tame these monsters and take that redness away !!!
I was on one of my many beauty buy hunts in boots when i saw an advert showing this wonderful product.I thought to myself it must be too good to be true but i should give it a go....I dont have lots of spots thankfully enough but when i do i get a bad one......boy do i get a bad one.It wasnt that long after purchasing this that i got the opportunity to try it out.The tube of it has a small narrow applicator nozzle so you could apply it directly onto the spot if need be but instead i prefer to put it on my finger and rub it on.
The cream claims to reduce redness in 4 hours and i would say its pretty true to its words.I have always noticed a vast difference the redness had gone and i didnt feel like i had so much pressure underneath the spot telling me it had started working already.
The tube is quite small (15ml in size) but you do not need alot for each application so i think it can last a long time. The contents in the tube comes out and is milky in colour but when applied goes on clear and can be applied under & also over make up which is great as we all know spots can pop up anytime during the day.The cream is a little sticky at first but once it has fully dried on the skin its fine...it does have quite a scent when first applied but once its dry the scent is gone.
I buy mine from Boots and it sells for £4.39 a tube yet as its part of the clean & clear range there are alot of deals on this range so you can probably save some money somehow also if you buy in boots you can get boots points. I would highly reccommend this item as i have found it truly effective and i have told friends about it who love it just as much as me now.
I remember when I decided to buy this product, I was in the supermarket and saw that neurogena had a very similar product to it, price was similar, it was the same amount in the tube and had the same claims. One thing differed though, the clean and clear product said it reduced spots in 4 hours, while the neurogena said 8. So obviously I went with the clean and clear.
It is in a small 15ml tube, with a twist off lid on the bottom, you just squeeze out as much as you need. I wouldnt recommended it for use if you have a lot of spots as youd get through the tube very quick, it is just for the occasional one really.
The gel is a cloudy white colour when you squeeze it out of the tube but when rubbed on your skin it turns invisible. It is highly fragenced and smells as if it contains a lot of alcohol. On the tube it says you can use it under or over makeup, ive applied concealer over it and it sits very well on top, in fact i think it helps the concealer stay on longer as it sticks to the gel.
The main point though is, does it reduced spots in 4 hours? Well I tested this on a very painful one I had on my back the other day, and after the four hours it wasnt painful at all and had definately gone down in size.
Ive used it on my face before going to bed and found that it really worked well at reduced the apperance of a few spots I had there. I can see if I was using it every night though the tube would be empty in no time.
The price varies but it is around 4 pounds, it is 4.29 in boots at the moment. I think this is too expensive to keep buying for use everyday, especially if you are using it on a large area.
Its unique patented formula uses a special spot-fighting ingredient which unblocks pores by removing trapped dirt and dead skin cells / The formula also contains a brand new combination of natural ingredients and is clinically proven to reduce redness and spot size, and control the levels of oil on your face where bacteria can grow and cause spots /
