Advantages: Helps prevent blemishes!

Disadvantages: Dried out my skin!

I normally buy the Clearasil Stayclear wash for normal skin. However I wash rushing in Asda and I accidently picked up the wrong type. The bottles look the same so it was only when I got home I realised there was a small 'sensitive' logo in bright green staring at me.

The wash was on offer in Asda for £2, it normally costs around £3 and a bottle contains 150ml of wash. It comes in a white bottle with a pump action dispenser. On the front of the wash it states that it will give you clearer skin. It has a microbead formula which is designed to help prevent breakouts by cleansing deep into pores to remove oil and dirt, it also had moisturising agents to condition your skin.

The wash is gentle enough to be used twice a day.

I have normal to dry skin, sometimes I will suffer with the occasional breakout and if I use a wash like this daily it helps to prevent the breakouts.

To use the wash you simply need to wet your face and massage a small amount into your hands. It does advise you to avoid the eye area. I tend to use about one pump of the dispenser and this is adequate. The wash doesn't lather particularly well. This wash is different to the normal variety in that it doesn't have the same fresh smell. The smell of this reminds me of lanolin and I don't find it very pleasant. In terms of exfoliating I couldn't feel any of the little microbeads and after rinsing my skin it felt really tight and dry. My skin felt like all of the oil had been removed but this left my cheeks really dry and blotchy, I had to use a moisturiser afterwards.

I was disappointed with this wash I wouldn't use it again. It wasn't as good as the original variety I think this may have been because some of ingredients have obviously been changed. I have continued to use this as I don't like wasting things, I have to say that in terms of preventing blemishes it does the job. I wouldn't buy this wash again though.

Summary: An average wash
