      A good moisturiser from clinique

Clinique M lotion is a fantastic option for men looking for a moisturiser for summer or for those with greasy skin due to its lightweight consistency.
Being a premium product from Clinique it isn't cheap and will set you back around £21 for a 100ml tube.
Being part of Clinique's men's range the M lotion comes in a smart dark grey tube which looks both masculine and discreet so even the most manly man needn't be afraid of using a moisturiser.

The actual cream is incredibly lightweight and a little does go a long way with this. You just need a small amount to cover your entire face and for maximum benefit you should apply it morning and night after washing or after shaving.
When you apply M lotion it never feels greasy and absorbs into the skin really quickly without making it shiny or oily.

I have combination skin with dry patches on my cheek and a greasy t-zone and I find that this helps to balance my skin out with it being moisturising enough to smooth the dry patches but not too rich to make my t-zone worse.
I also have sensitive skin and I find that M lotion doesn't irritate my skin or make it red and blotchy.

When it is on my skin M lotion feels really lightweight which makes it perfect for when the weather is hot as I don't like to feel as though my skin is clogged down. However in winter I prefer not to use M lotion as even though it is great at moisturising I find it too lightweight for when my skin is being assaulted by wind, cold and rain.

Clinique recommend M lotion as an aftershave soother but for me I have to say that other than soothing dryness that can happen with shaving it doesn't do much for other forms of irritation such as rashes and bumps.

£20 may seem quite expensive for a moisturiser but as it lasts such a long time and it actually delivers what it promises then I have to say I think it's worth the money. The only thing that I can find wrong with it is that it doesn't contain an spf which means that I have to put on a separate sunscreen when out and about.

A worthwhile product on balance and well worth the expense in my opinion.

I have used Clinique products for quite a while now, having a mens range appeals to me very much as I have never liked the thought of having to buy products designed primarily for women. The Clinique 'M' Lotion comes in a 100ml tube and the one I own is nothing like the image on Dooyoo. In a plain silver colour the tube then has the words 'Clinique skin supplies for men' towards the top of the tube, and 'M Lotion daily hydration' underneath with my tube then stating it is for 'Normal to dry skin'. I am unsure if Clinique manufacture a lotion for other skin types. Towards the cap of the tube it states it holds 3.4FL.OZ (100ml). On the reverse of the tube is a lot of minute text in a variety of languages. The English at the top states 'Clinically Formulated. Allergy Tested. 100% fragrance Free. Smooth sparingly on face and neck to alleviate dryness and irritation from shaving.'

I have used this product for a long while now, and dont't just see it as an after-shave lotion. I do sometimes apply it after shaving but in general I don't see it as an after-shave product. The lotion moisturises my skin as I see fit to apply and helps soothe irritation from shaving if I wish to use it for this purpose. Usually dryness does occur from shaving, so it would be very effective for daily use after shaving, but I have other products for that and use this Clinique M Lotion as a moisturiser for my hands and arms after work.

As I am working with paper and cardboard throughout the day my hands do before very dry and often cut and sore from manual work. My skin is always left feeling hydrated after application and not at all greasy. The cream is absorbed quickly into my skin and as it is fragrance-free it doesn't leave me smelling any less masculine afterwards! The lotion is of a pale yellow tone and quite creamy and a little on the runny side. Priced at just short of £20 it isn't the most cost-effective skin moisturiser for men, but for me the Clinique brand can cover most bases when it comes to mens body care and this is just another fine example of Clinique catering for men equally as well as it clearly does for women also.

An expensive, high-quality moisturiser for men, which proves you get what you pay for.

In the modern world, men are encouraged to moisturise and that's all very well if you don't have mates like mine, but as most men probably do, they'll understand why I'd sooner be caught with my pants down than be spotted in front of the mirror applying moisturiser, and I suspect I am not alone.

Conversely, I do want to look my best, and without a little discreet maintenance, some of my smooth skinned peers will have an edge over me. My own skin is rather average, but occasionally, usually in cold or windy weather, it will begin to dry out and tiny patches of dry skin will appear on my cheeks. Hardly of major concern, but it is the little things which, if left unchecked, can eventually conspire to undermine one's confidence.

I have tried various moisturisers and, generally, I hated them. Some even when used sparingly left my face feeling so wet that my natural inclination was to wipe it dry, no doubt removing the product in the process. Others left my face feeling sticky or lent it an appearance so shiny that passers-by stared at me to check their reflections. All of them, without exception, triggered those red boil-type, under-the-skin blemishes, which can render the handsomest mug clown-like.

For me, Clinique M Lotion was a revelation. The smallest amount rubbed gently into the skin goes a long way. It is absorbed quickly, but leaves the skin feeling smooth and natural. It has no scent and apart from the skin's improved, healthy appearance, it is undetectable. It is the only moisturiser I have been able to use, which doesn't trigger the "two days later blemishes".

The packaging is unassuming, being a conservative grey as opposed to neon-pink, and if spied in a sports bag, could easily be mistaken for a shaving gel.

It's very expensive, but if your experience with other moisturisers is similar to mine, then I'm sure you'll find that the beneficial effects of this product do justify the price.

You can get M Lotion in most of the larger Boots stores and some supermarkets, but if you want to buy it online you can get it from Clinique's own website or from Amazon quite reliably.

Buy it and apply it, but don't let your mates catch you!

My girlfriend bought me some M lotion this Christmas – quite handy of her really as my face was practically falling off (it was soooo dry in the cold, bitter northern winds – I live in Leeds for heavens sake!). It can be bought quite easily nowadays, from bigger Boots stores and most department stores too. Hell, Stafford even has it! (Apologies for the whole afterlife feel to the review so far) Anyway, it might seem expensive, and to some, a bit poofterish for a man to be moisturizing, but it does wonders for the face. I don’t shave every day but I do use it daily because I have such dry skin. When I do shave, M lotion is quickly absorbed and makes the skin feel silky smooth and look healthy, nay, radiant!! This moisturiser works best on dry to normal skins - Clinique do offer an oil-free version but it is even more expensive than M lotion. Further, a little does go a long way, even if you use it daily. I would recommend it, and Clinique face-care products as a whole (Soap and face scrub particularly). Don't be offended by the title kids, i'm sure its even smoother :)

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

M Lotion is the best skin product I have bought ever. I bought some when on my hols in January and I have been using it daily ever since(the same bottle!!!). The great thing about this product is it is very versatile. I've always had quite dry skin, especially after showering and/or shaving. M Lotion is a good moisturiser for dry skin and it also works to soothe your skin after shaving, probably because it is unperfumed. The thing I like most is the tiny amounts you need to use, it spreads really well, which is why one bottle has lasted me for 6 months and will probably last another 6-8 weeks. It may seem quite expensive a product for men but if you work out that you will only need at most 2 bottles a year it is worth the price. I would recommend this to all men - especially if you have dry/sensitive skin. My skin has never felt better.
