~About the Product ~
It is said to Immediately moisturizes dry and dehydrated skin making it smooth to the touch, none tight, plumb, and supple.
It provides smoothing and calming benefits to dry, tight and dehydrated skin.
Helps to leave skin soft, smooth and more clearer. Making makeup applications easy and flawless looking.
The product itself is white in colour with a green tinge to it. It glides onto the skin without dragging and pulling. Its unlike most masks once you apply it is thick and gloopy this is more of a lotion once applied.
~Where to buy and Price of Product~
I bought it from http://uk.strawberrynet.com for £16.50 for 100ml, other online prices may vary.
This product comes in a 100ml green tube with a screw lid.
It states on the back it has been allergy tested and 100% fragrance free.
I had a 30ml sample given to me a good 2 years ago and I honestly didn't want to use it. I have used some Clinique's products before in the past and thought they we're awful. I have also spoken to a few beauticians and what they thought about Clinique and they all said they wouldn't touch Clinique with a barge pole because of the alcohol content in some of their products. I have to agree but eventually I gave in and used their Skin Calming Moisturising Mask and found it lovely to use.
I have oily/combination skin but I also suffer from dry/dehydrated skin so it is when I use this product to give me skin a bit of moisture and bounce back without pilling on the moisturisers.
Apply it to the whole face and leave on for 10 minutes. It states on the packaging to leave on 5 - 10 minutes but sometimes I like to have think layer on and leave on 20 minutes or so or until my skin has absorbed as much as it can. Avoid the eye area; I then wipe the access away with a sponge and water.
It is also not like other masks that once you remove them it takes ages and doesn't seem to budge. This mask comes off with ease so there is no need to drag or pull the skin.
Once I removed all product my skin was very soft and hydrated, there was no redness unlike other masks. I could tell the texture in my skin to the rest of my body, especially my neck as I didn't do this area the first time with it, now I know better and use it on my neck as well.
It is well known that dry/dehydrated skin are more prone to wrinkles as there is no moisture there to keep them plump so keeping your skin well moisturised and hydrated is a must.
I have given this product 4 stars just because I don't like the rest of the range.
~Would I buy again?~
Yes, even though I don't like Clinique products I will be repurchasing this.
CLINIQUE SKIN CALMING MOISTURE MASK This mask was recommended to me at the counter as very good for dehydrated skin. It can be used in two ways. After you have completed the three step skin care, spread this pale coloured mask over face and neck. You can either leave it on for five mins for a quick fix or anything up to twenty mins for a pampering experience. Then rinse or tissue off. I felt the mask itself was lovely and creamy, but I had also been told as well as hydrating my skin it would calm (as it says on the front of the tube) it down if it was a tad flushed. I’m afraid it doesn’t. It was quite expensive not to really do very much; I have found a much cheaper alternative at Marks&Spencers.
