Daiso Charcoal Face Mask
I have quite oily skin, which is not good as it brings with it other problems, such as blackheads. Which are really not good and my foundation does cover the ones that I have on my nose but as it is getting hotter I don't want to wear as much make up. So looking for a solution I came across this product and it from all of the reviews I have seen on other sites, i just had to buy it.
It comes in what I think is the cutest packaging ever! All of the writing is in Japanese but mine has a sticker in english on the back with all of the ingredients and other information on it. The picture of the girl on the top is supposed to show how the mask looks when you put it on, and it does.
This mask is specifically for removing blackheads. I have had not been able to find a product to do this as of yet (the tweezerman blackhead remover didn't work). This product looked like it would be able to get rid of my blackheads, but unfortunately like all of the other products I have used it does not!
It is just like any other face mask, but it is in a tube, not a packet and it is also jet black - like the girl on the picture. It is really black in colour and it looks a bit like tar or oil, and it also has a quite thick consistency which I like as it means that it does not go every where or on the floor.
I just applied a medium/thick layer on my nose where the blackhead are (and I only wanted to test a small area as I didn't know if I would have a reaction to it as I had not tried it before). I applied it with a cotton bud and it does look a bit strange walking around with this black stuff on your face. I then left it on for 30 minutes as it said on some other site that sold this (but I can't remember what it is called) and I let it dry. Once it was dry I slowly peeled it off and it only worked very slightly. I have used this after cleaning my face, after exfoliating my face and after steaming my face to open my pores more but it did not really work.
I could not find this product any where in the UK stores or from the sites that I looked at online so I went on the aladdin's cave of the internet, yes eBay. I found that it was only available to buy from sellers who were either based in Hong Kong or Singapore, and I was a little skeptical about buy it as they didn't have the best ratings. But I bought it from singapore and the delivery was really fast, it was well packaged and it was in perfect condition, which I was happy about. I think I bought it for £6/7 with postage, which is a good price.
*So cute packaging
*Charcoal for detoxifying the skin
*Does get rid of some blackheads but not a lot
*Good consistency - quite thick so it does not go every where
*Applies very very easily and can be peeled off easily
*Not very messy
*Available on eBay
*Smells a bit like sunscreen/sun tan lotion
*Did not remove all blackheads
*Made my skin a bit dry/flaky
*Contains little natural ingredients - but does contain some
Thank you for reading my review
