~~~Beautiful Face Thanks To Decleor~~~
Decleors range of face care products various serums, peel kits, exfoliators and gels of all kinds. Normal, day to day face care routines are accounted for allowing you to buy a cleanser, toner, moisturiser etc dependant on your needs. One such product is the Foaming Cleanser. A cleanser is the first step of your cleansing routine before toning and moisturising.
This foaming cleanser contains essential oils and waters. It is suitable for all skin types. Its aim is to cleanse your face of dirt and impurities whilst leaving it soft and brightening your complexion. Once the cleanser makes contact with water, it foams up allowing you to give your face a thorough clean. Its ingredient list includes essential oils such as lavender and petit grain. The essential water addition is given through kiwi and orange and there is also some mallow essential water, papaya extract and oat milk.
A simple white, strong plastic tube holds the cleanser. The dispensing hole is hidden at the base under a screw off lid. The tube isn't transparent except in the light where you can just see how much is left inside. Black writing confirms the product name, how to use etc. The tube can be recycled and should be used up within 12months of opening.
Over the past few months, I have been trying to take better care of my skin and mainly on my face as everyone sees my face! I have quite sensitive skin and need to watch which products I use. My old routine involved sweeping a wet wipe over my face and slapping on some day cream. Now though, time permitting, I use some form of cleanser or facial wash, a toner and then my moisturiser. If I am in a rush, the full routine doesn't always get followed.
~~~Decleor and Me~~~
Decleor is a brand I know of through the shopping channels. I used to watch them wishing I had enough cash on my card to order everything! Unfortuantely the bank balance couldn't allow but most products can be picked up at reasonable prices through online portals. The foaming cleanser I have is a 50ml one from a set my sister had received. I was given this as she wouldn't use it. The tube is simplistic but not cheap in appearance and is easy to hand and dispense.
~~~Foam Party On My Face~~~
I don't use this everyday as I want my little tube to last me quite a while. I tend use it on days where I know I am going to be wearing makeup (3-4times a week) but lazy days at home are started with a baby wipe swept over my face. I normally apply this post shower when my pores have opened up with the steam and my face is a little damp. Normal water alone is never enough to cleanse my face and personally, I find it dries it out more!
It is recommended that you dispense a small amount of this cleanser onto a wet hand and then onto the face. I tried this and didn't feel comfortable with this method. With my face already being damp, I find dispensing a tiny little blob of this onto my hand, spreading it to the other hand and then using circular strokes on my face gets the cleanser clinging to my face.
The consistency of the cleanser is quite creamy but not overly thick. Its has a shiny, white appearance. The scent is quite powerful and first impressions made me consider it would make my eyes sting. The scent reminds me of essential oils that my beautician burns in the room I get my waxing done in..but a bit more concentrated as its packed into one little tube! The lavender comes through gently but doesn't smell too mature and cloying. There is a sweet and almost sense calming feel about the scent but awakening at the same time.
The cleanser foams up quite quickly on contact with my damp skin. I wouldn't say there was a mass of lather but nor would I want there to be. Being so close to my sensitive nose, I didn't want any stray bubbles flying up causing sneezing fits! The lather was soft, light and cooling against my skin. The scent doesn't overpower or make my eyes sting which is a bonus. I tend to use this around my nose, forehead, cheeks and chin avoiding my eyes and lips.
The cleanser doesn't need much encouragment to cleanse my skin. I find using two fingertips and circular strokes, gets an even coverage. As the cleanser lathers up, it is quite soothing and creamy. It is by no means harsh but I can feel a coolness like a minty fresh blast seeping through the layers of my skin drawing everything out to be cleanser. On the odd occasion I use this at the end of the day, I try to get most of my makeup over with a wipe and then get the remains off my skin using a tiny amount of cleanser.
Rinsing the lather off my skin takes a minute or so and my preference is to cup some cold water in my hands and splash it over my face. I find the cold works better to release a fresh feeling and make me more alert! I double check in the mirror to make sure I haven't missed any white bits and then pat my face dry with a soft towel.
Soap and water dries my skin out, other cleansers have done the same and some have worked leaving my skin nice and smooth. I find milk cleansers have a better effect on my skin but this foaming cleanser worked quite well too. My face once dried, feels very clean and refreshed from the inside out. It doesn't feel tight or uncomfortable but the areas prone to dryness (my nose and forehead) don't appear to be softer than before I used the cleanser.
The scent doesn't really linger for long except a tiny undertone of relaxing lavender which settles quite pleasantly. My skin doesn't feel sticky or like I have weighed it down with anything which is a bonus. On the days I have a bit of time to spare, I apply my toner (a Biotherm one). This is done by applying with cotton balls and I can see that not all dirt has been removed from my skin..it transfers onto the cotton ball. When used at night time to remove make up, I notice it seems to remove most from the surface but using a toner shows there is more lurking underneath the top layer of my skin and brings it all to the surface to be successfully wiped away.
~~~Conclusion and Recommendation~~~
My little tube is lasting well even with regular use. Personally I won't buy a full size version as for the price, it doesn't do anything more than what a Nivea or L'Oreal cleanser offers me. Really, here you paying for the brand name and the fact that it contains essential oils. It does cleanse my skin and make it feel good but doesn't give it a deep down cleanse. I always need to follow on with my toner and then a day/night cream for optimum effects.
If you receive this in a gift set or manage to pick it up cheap then go for it. Or if you can afford it then this would make a luxurious, morning wake up call. This comes recommended from me as a basic but relaxingly scented foaming cleanser.
Thanks for reading x
Yippee!! I have finally found a cleanser that not only does it's job very well, but without leaving me feeling as if I've just had a chemical peel on my face! I originally got this in a trial size, and loved it so much that I now have it in the gigantic 400ml size. Firstly, as with all Decleor products this cleanser smells just heavenly, light and flowery due to its essential oils . Secondly, and more importantly, this does just what it says, and to disagree with another reviewer, it gets rid of all my make-up, even my favourite long lasting mascara.
A small pea size amount is needed,(which is great because my 400ml tube has lasted almost a year!!) and a little water to emulsify it, it does foam up, but not as much as other foaming cleansers I've used in the past, which as my knowledge of ingredients has grown , I know this to be a good thing, as it means less harsh ingredients have been used.
It washes off easily without leaving a residue and leaves my skin feeling delightfully clean and soft to the touch.
I wont be without this on my bathroom shelf.
I love the Decleor range, specifically the aromessence oils and the moisturisers but this product left me a little disappointed. My main issue with it is that it does not remove makeup well at all. Yes, you can use makeup remover first but being lazy I prefer a cleanser to do both.
The cream does smell absolutely gorgeous - very light and refreshing. It is a pearlescent white colour and has a thick, creamy texture. It foams on the skin a little but not as much as I like. If you use it on skin without makeup, it does leave it soft and clean feeling so if you don't really wear makeup then this would be great for you.
It is very gentle and doesn't leave your face feeling tight or dry at all. But I do prefer the rinse-off cleanser by Philosophy to this primarily due to it removing makeup as well as cleansing.
If you like to use water to wash your face but don't like the fact that soap and water can be very drying then this is the perfert product for you. I first tried it in a trial pack with a 200 ml size, and have never looked back. The bonus for me is that I do like to rince with cold water and that I can do with the foaming cleanser.
To use you just squirt a blob about the size of a pea on to the palm of your hand and then had some warm water and massage between your hands to bring up a lovely rich lather. Then use to clean your face, and rinse of with fresh water. It smells beautiful and has only natural ingrediants so should be fine for even the most sensitive of skins.
I recently purchased mine from a shopping tv channel and was able to get the large 400 ml size for £28.50, which I feel is a good price as I have seen the 200 ml for £20.00 elsewhere
Having used Decleor products in the past and needing to buy a new face wash, I decided to try the Decleor Foaming Cleanser since I saw it on offer online.
The cleanser comes in two different sizes, a 200ml tube and a 400ml tube. I personally have the 200ml size. The tube is made of white plastic, but it is slightly see-through so you can see how much liquid you have left, which is quite handy so you know when to get a new one in! There is a screw top lid on the tube, also made of white plastic, and then the actual tube has a little hole at the top of it so that you can easily squeeze the cleanser out.
The cleanser is specifically for your face and it is suitable for all skin types, even though it has essential oils in it.
I really love the smell of this cleanser. I think it smells a bit like cucumber and fruit (even though it doesn't have cucumber in it) It smells really clean and refreshing. The smell subtly wafts out as soon as you open the tube and its lovely and not too strong or synthetic. There is a combination of essential oils and essential waters in the cleanser with lavender, petitgrain, orange, kiwi and mallow essential waters and oat milk and papaya extract.
The cleanser is quite thick in consistency and is a pearly white colour. It is a really smooth cleanser with no bits in it at all. Since it foams up really nicely, you don't have to use much each time you use it. I tend to use a blob about the size of a large pea. This means that the tube should last for quite a while (though it does have a shelf life of 12 months after opening)
You apply the cleanser to wet skin, this means that it is a lot easier to apply and that it also foams better. You then have to rinse your face thoroughly to make sure all of the cleanser has been washed off. I usually use mine in the morning in the shower and I use it daily. It is really gentle on the skin and I have no problems using it everyday.
I feel like my face has had a really good clean after using this and I feel like my face looks a lot brighter. My skin also feels really soft and hasn't been irritated in the slightest by the cleanser, even though I can have quite sensitive skin.
I bought this online from buycosmetics.com and it cost me around £15 for the 200ml size, however it is also available right now from the Decleor website for the sale price of £26.50 for a 400ml tube.
I would recommend this cleanser. It is more expensive than a lot of brands out there but I really like it and will be buying it again after this tube runs out. I really think it makes my skin look nicer and cleaner, and it smells lovely!
