Dermalogica Active Moist
Advantages: great cream
Disadvantages: expensive so may opt for a cheaper alternative
For my Birthday I was given a range of Dermalogica products and amongst them was Dermalogica Active Moist, this is a product that is a great moisturiser that I used after using the Dermalogica daily microfoliant.
The Active Moist is a great product that rehydrates your skin after a hard working day against the elements, it helps to soften your skin whilst also helping to nourish and protect it throughout the day.
This cream is easy to apply and it is great as there are no oils in it, which means that your skin does not feel or look greasy afterwards, which so many moisturisers have done to my skin over the years.
Active Moist has silk amino acids in to help smooth and improve skin texture, whilst also having natural botanical astringents of Lemon, Ivy, Watercress and Burdock to help refine the skin. It also has soothing extracts of Lavender, Mallow and Cucumber to provide deep hydration. As like all Dermalogica products there are no artificial colours or fragrances so they are great for people with all skin types.
To apply the cream add a small amount to your finger I then dot it around and then with my finger tips I then gently massage it into and around my face and as there are no oils in the cream this means that the lotion quickly absorbs into my skin.
Dermalogica also recommends that you apply this over a damp face and that you can also use it with the multi active toner and you could also mix it with a concentrated booster for additional results.
This great tube of Active Moist comes in two different sizes there is the 50ml or 100ml, if this is a product that you use regularly then it is more cost effective to purchase the 100ml as this costs around £30, whilst the 50ml costs around £20. This is quite expensive for a mosituriser but I only apply this to my face and you require a minimal amount so it works out reasonably priced in the end. My 50ml bottle is now running low after almost 4 months of daily use.
If you do not want to purchase large bottles of the Dermalogica range to try, then there are gift sets that have smaller bottles in at a great price for the set so you can try the products for a few weeks to make your own decision and then purchase larger bottles that you perfer.
The only disadvantage is that this brand is one of the higher ends of brand of the market and there are not widely available on the high street, so you need to go to department shops or shop around online, but to get the best price there are sometime high postal charges.
Overall a product that is definitely worth trying, but it is also a little costly on a budget in these times so it is understandable if you opted for a cheaper alternative from the high street.
Summary: A costly product in these times
