Im always looking for beauty treatments for myself, having 3 children I need all the help I can get to keep my skin in good condition and stop me looking exhausted!
I like eye masks because they feel like you are having a mini pamper session when I use them which is always nice.
I saw this one in Boots recently and thought I would give it a go. It cost me £25 which is very expensive for a face mask so I was expecting great things. The packaging makes the product look really good it comes in a metal tube which looks quite expensive so automatically makes you think the product inside will be good.
The mask itself is called multivitamin and it lists lots of vitamins which it has in it including vitamin A, E and B5 which are all good for your skin. The product claims it will regenerate your skin so definitely something worth giving a try!
I used the mask the same night I got it hoping for a miracle cure for my tired looking face. I applied the mask as per the instructions. I put a thin layer all over my face leaving a gap around my eye area. I left the mask on for the max possible which was 15mins. The mask feels like it is working from the minute you apply it as it makes your skin tingle.
The product is nice and thick as you apply it so looks like it will do a good job it's not like some of the cheaper masks that are a runny consistency.
Sometimes when I have used masks they make my face itch when I am waiting to take them off but this one did not it felt fine throughout the 15mins.
I washed the mask off at the end of the time. My skin felt so soft I couldn't believe it! It did make my face look a little pink at first but this soon calmed down.
Due to the mask been so thick I had wondered if it would leave my skin looking greasy but it did not it really did leave my skin in excellent condition. I do think the mask is expensive but you only need a thin layer and it is recommended that you use it once a week so the tube will last a long time and as it has such good results I would say it is worth it.
I would recommend this mask as a treat for someone who needs a bit of pampering.
I received this product as part of a beauty product sample box I used to subscribe to. It was part of a gift set that contained some other dermalogica items in sample sizes (see review below). I didn't like this product as much as some of the others but I did feel that it made my skin softer and it was enjoyable to use.
The product, like most in this particular range, comes in a silver plastic bottle that resembles a metal tube. I like the feel of the plastic and the look of the packaging - if you have read any of my other review it is probably obvious that I like to cut open tubes and use the very last drop, no exception here. The shape of the bottle (despite being a smaller version) was easy to handle and the right size + squeezability (I know that's not a word, but how else to describe it?).
In terms of the masque itself I did really like the product but there are some thing about it which have stopped me from purchasing it in the standard size. The masque is a yellow coloured cream which you apply liberally to your face and leave to dry. I liked the consistency of the cream and it felt very nourishing - although I have to say it felt more like a moisturiser than a masque. The smell was not unpleasant but also not particularly distinctive, more of a producty smell than something natural. It dries quickly and remains flexible so your face isn't completely stuck and your skin remains smooth and hydrated underneath. Personally, I enjoy a more powerful mask - one that dries very hard as I feel my skin sometimes needs this to rejuvenate it. Although my skin did feel lovely afterwards - it didn't feel like the treat I think a face mask should be.
The masque did last me a month or so in the sample size despite applying it liberally (which I found you had to do every time in order for it to dry properly and have the desired effect). Dermalogica say of the masque 'an intensive masque of concentrated vitamins and botanical extracts designed to calm environmentally-stressed skin' which seems like a fair description. The product retails at £33.00 for a 75ml tube but can be purchased for £24.85 from pure beauty for the same size.
All in all, I would not purchase this product as it didn't tick all the boxes and is just too expensive for me to justify buying a full-sized version. That said it was nice to be able to test the product out and although this wasn't my favourite dermalogica product there were others I'd consider investing in.

I got a small tube of the Dermalogica multivitamin power recovery mask in my Glossybox a few months ago. I try to use a face mask at least once a week, and this has been the mask I've used for the past three weeks.
The multivitamin power recovery mask is formulated with vitamins A, C, E and F which they say will help skin recover from damage that leads to ageing. It also has 'barrier properties' which will hopefully stop any further damage. I'm 27, so do not have any severe signs of ageing, however I do have a few fine lines which I am conscious of and anything which will prevent them getting worse is worth a try!
The full sized product comes in a silver tube which is a bit of a change from the clinical white and grey that Dermalogica normally package their products in. That said, the sample tube I have is white and grey with a burgundy stripe, but if nothing else the packaging is functional.
The mask should be applied to a cleansed face and throat, avoiding the eye area. The mask is a pale peachy colour and has a faint creamy scent to it, which is so subtle it's barely noticeable really. It looks like a thick cream and smoothes onto the skin very easily, without dragging. I try to only apply a relatively thin layer to make the product go further and the consistency makes this easy to do.
Once it's on, the mask should be left for 10-15 minutes. I always leave it the full 15, my theory being that the longer it's on there, the more chance it has of working! The mask doesn't go tight when it's on the skin - it actually feels quite cooling, but other than that I can barely tell that I'm wearing it, a plus for me as I hate those masks that make you feel as though your face is paralysed!
After the 15 minutes are up, the mask can be rinsed off. I find that by this point it no longer looks like a cream, rather a transparent orangey gel. It rinses off the skin easily with plain warm water. I usually use a face cloth to help the process along, but you need to remember to put it in the wash afterwards as I've found the product can leave an orange stain.
The biggest change I notice to my skin after using this is that it feels much smoother to the touch. This smoothness makes my skin a much better base for make-up and of course looks better too. In fact, after using this, my skin has a bit of a glow to it, as though I've had a good nights sleep or been on a long relaxing break somewhere. Unlike a lot of masks there is no redness after I've used this, so it's perfect for using prior to a night out.
I have not specifically noticed any anti-ageing benefits from the product, although I think that's always a difficult thing to judge anyway. My skin certainly does look better after use, so perhaps that in itself will take the years off.
A 75ml tube of this product costs £28 from LookFantastic.com. I do feel that is on the expensive side, but on a more positive note you should be able to get quite a lot of uses from one tube. Given that my 15ml sample size gave three applications, I calculate that the full size should give around fifteen uses, which perhaps makes it seem a little better value for money.
Overall I do think this is an excellent product and it is one that I would recommend. I am already considering buying it again for using in the run up to my wedding later this year. It's an excellent boost and pick me up for the skin and it's a nice product to use. I don't think it will become a regular addition to my skin care routine because of the high price tag, however it is a great product to keep hold of for special occasions.
I paid £23.99 for a 75ml tube of this product and in my opinion it was certainly money well spent. This is a great product when I need to give my skin a big boost, in particular when my skin has become dull and lifeless during a period of bad weather or when I have become run down. This face masque is full of concentrated vitamins that serve to repair any damaged skin and give your skin vitality and a good look to it. It will sooth sensitive skin areas and calm down any redness that may have developed. It contains vitamin A, C, E and B5 as well as some other natural ingredients such as burdock.
The tube that it comes in is a metallic gunmetal silver and one of those reversable lids so that you can break the seal when you first want to use it. The contents inside are a light pink colour with a nice consistency. The masque spreads evenly across my face and is nice and smooth. There is a fruity fragrance to this product which is very pleasant. It changes colour when it is used up and it slowly absorbs into your face until it is more of an orange colour (the cream not your face). It is easy to wash off with warm water. There is no contraction or tightness with this masque, it is just a cream that you allow to absorb into your skin for about 15 minutes to get the best effects.
It is sold as being suitable for all skin types and I love the way that my skin feels after using this product. It adds mositure and leaves it feeling smooth and well conditioned. There is a nice healthy glow to my skin and it is back to being completely blemish free.
I really cannot find any faults with this product, it is kind and nourishing to my skin and while it is not cheap the results more than justify the price in my opinion, I just wish I could find it on sale as I would stock up on it.
Dermalogica multi vitamin mask is one of my favourite masks. I started using this about 5 years ago when despite packing everything but the kitchen sink for my holiday , I found that I hadn't packed a face mask .
When I am on holiday I love the fact that I have time to pamper myself and so I decided to treat myself to this mask, which I bought from a beauty salon as it was recommended for my dry sensitive skin.
Comes in a tube in distinctive silver packaging associated with this brand , which I think is masculine looking , so beware as the men in your life will think it is OK to pinch your Dermalogica. Dermalogica do not go overboard on packaging as they prefer to concentrate on the ingredients in their products.
It is a beigey apricot colour and has a nice creamy rich texture that is easy to apply and comes out of the tube easily. It feels lovely and it does not irritate my dry sensitive skin. It also does not have a strong scent or any ingredients that make my eyes water, so it feels gentle ,moisturising and soothing when you apply this.
I apply this after cleansing and exfoliating my skin. I apply a thick layer to my face (avoiding the eye area ), neck and decolletage and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. As I have dry skin a lot of this absorbed into my skin so the first time I used this, I simply tissued off the excess.
Big mistake ! We were staying in a holiday cottage that had beautiful white bed linen , bath robes and towels . I discovered that I had not removed all the mask and that I had managed to stain them orange and boy it took some removing ,several washes in fact . So make sure you thoroughly take off any residue as this does stain.
It does produce wonderful results, my skin always looks glowing, healthy, hydrated and plumper after using this. We were on holiday in England and had spent several days outdoors which was lovely , but it was sunny and breezy and I am fair skinned so my skin was sore from the elements and needed some TLC. This mask calmed everything down and I felt the results were as good as a salon facial.
I try to use this a couple of times a week as it does improve my skin which is a challenge as it is mature, dry and sensitive and this really helps.
It does not contain any artificial fragrance or colours and its ingredients include; Firming Vitamin A to increase elasticity and moisture content , antioxidant Vitamin C aids in collagen synthesis and helps restore suppleness. Vitamin E and Pro-Vitamin B5 promote healthy tissue regeneration, while calming botanical extracts of Liquorice, Comfrey and Burdock soothe the skin. It contains a mix of ingredients with anti-inflammatory properties and to soothe irritation.
Other ingredients include avocado and flower oil, oats, flower and grape seed extracts and beta carotene which is probably where the colour comes from.
Dermalogica say they never use common "beauty" ingredients like Mineral Oil, Lanolin, artificial colors and fragrances or other cheap fillers.
They never test on animals.
Would I recommend
Yes , the results are amazing. This is a brand commonly used in beauty salons and I think that this delivers results at home as good as having a facial in a beauty salon. Plus its lots cheaper.
It lasts well even when applying a generous amount. Take care because this does stain ( orange) , so make sure you remove every trace of the product.
It is great for my dry sensitive mature skin and my skin looks much better after I apply this mask.
I shop around for this and virtually every website has reviews around the 5 star mark and not just one review , so this is a highly rated product.
This is priced at £24.95 for a 75ml tube, which I think is a good price for a product this effective. I apply lots as my skin is very dry and I would say I get at least 8-10 masks probably more as I don't buy this every month.
From authorised beauty salons, Dermalogica online and other online retailers. I buy mine on line and I like that they usually throw in some samples.

A well deserved 5 star product.
With the really bad weather kicking in and the drying central heating being turned up too max, our skin really needs as much help as it can get during these testing months to come. That was the reason I choose this face mask by the well know and highly trusted name of Dermalogica. I have become some what of a fan of nearly all of their products and get a nice discount on them by my friends handy connections. Although even with this little money saver these still put a hole in my pocket as very few of them are what you would call affordable.
I tried this mask for the first time almost three years ago, I don't use it as often as some of the other products I've reviewed as its not recommended for daily use, I use it only once a week
I love the packaging on this as it one of their very few products that differs from the others. Most of the Dermalogica range has the same almost clinical looking packaging while this has a dark gray box with the familiar font in White. But it's the tube itself that I love for once it looks more masculine than feminine with it's shiny silver casing and black print, it's a design I wish they used more often.
Being as I said a bit of a fan of Dermalogica I was always on the look out for something new and interesting as I would buy one different product a month. My friend recommended this and suggested I look it up online. I did and instantly got back on to her and asked if she could help me out.
They recommend in the instructions leaflet that comes in the box, that you cleanse your face and neck using one of their cleansing products, make sure to clean your face well as this will assist the mask once applied. Then apply a rather generous amount of the not so masculine coloured light pink cream mask. It is quite thick so spread it well. It has a fruity smell that's not at all unpleasant.
Using your finger tips, gently apply to your dry cleansed face and also your neck if required. Smooth over your skin avoiding the delicate eye area using the padded part of your fingertips. Once applied it will look like you're wearing invisible glasses if you have applied it correctly avoiding the very sensitive eye area. Leave on for at the very least fifteen minutes to guarantee good penetration. The product is packed full of all natural Vitamin filed botanical (plant based) ingredients. So the longer you leave it on the better treatment your skin is getting. I apply it, sit down and watch a movie, then wash it off once it ends, this way you are guarantied "OPTIMUM" penetration.
It washes off easily enough but is a bit thicker than other masks and may take you a few seconds more than normal. My skin felt baby soft after just one use and has felt better and better and softer and softer each and every time I've used it. As I said I'm using it almost three years on I can't say that about all of the Dermalogica products I've tried. But this is one I keep on buying. That's something to note. This doesn't last as long as other Dermalogica products. That's because you do have to use a good bit of it each time. There realy isn't much point in being stingy with it, just don't apply more than you have to.
This is available at impressionsbeauty.co.uk for £24.15 + shipping.
I have always been very up to date when it comes to trying out the latest health and beauty products. Im always trying out new brands and picking up free samples when there offered. To be honest thats how I ended up trying this. I went into my local boots store as I needed some more of my clinque make up and cleansers, which I have been using for years and have always sworn by. However when I went in the clinque lady wasnt at her counter and as i was waiting I was approached by a lovely lady who started chatting to me and introduced me to this product (Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque).
On first appearances I liked the look and design of the packaging it was nice and simple :) with a lid that clicks open and shut. It came in a 75ml tube which was alot bigger than some of the similar type products i'd tried in the past.
The masque itself is a very light caramel colour. The texture of the cream is quiet thick and heavy which means you only need a tiny amount when dispensing it to get a good, even coverage so the 75ml tube does go a long way. The masque always leaves my skin feeling really refreshed and so soft and supple and gives off a lovelyfruity scent. Once applied the mask stays on so well and unlike others I am able to walk around and do things I need to, rather than just stayin still out of fear of it not setting or falling off.
There are really easy directions for use on the back of the tube which say to apply the masque to the face and throat and then leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Once applied the mask feels really light even thou its quiet thick and stays on so well and unlike others I have previously tried, I am able to walk around and do things I need to, rather than just stayin still out of fear of it not setting or falling off. After the 10-15 mins of having it on you can then rinse it off with warm water, this in fact is one of my main loves about it, as its so easy to rinse it off. At the moment I use the mask about twice a week and i find this is more than enough because of all the vitamins inside it.
I instantly noticed the difference from the first time I used this product. The my pores on my face were noticeably smaller, and my skin was alot less oily than before. People kept commenting on how much brighter my skin looked and how i had a natural glow about me. These effects are still on going even after having used it for about a year and a bit now.
Admittably I will say the masque isn't cheap and there are alot cheaper ones out there . However having had tried most of these, none of them come close to this one. Ive been using the 75ml tube for about 6 months now and because of the thickness and only needing a tiny amount i still have a fair bit left, so won't be needing to purchase anymore for a while yet. When i brought it is was £25 from boots however boots don't seem to stock in anymore so I now manage to get mine of amazon for the same price (£25).
I am very interested in skin care products and I have tried many products from leading skin care brands over the last 15 years. When a new 'wonder' product becomes available then I just have to try it.
Dermalogica products have been getting lots of good press lately and for that reason I have been trying some of them to see if they suit my skin.
The latest product I have tried is the Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque. This product is part of the Dermalogica Age Smart range. This range has been designed for mature skin.
The Masque comes in a plastic tube containing 75mls of the masque. This full size 75ml tube costs around £25 and is available to buy from online stores like Beautyflash and Salonskincare.
The masque had been designed to be an intensive masque of concentrated vitamins and botanical extracts to calm environmentally-stressed skin. Firming Vitamin A increases elasticity and moisture content while antioxidant Vitamin C aids in collagen synthesis, restoring suppleness. Vitamin E and Pro-Vitamin B5 promote healthy tissue regeneration, while calming botanical extracts of Licorice, Comfrey and Burdock soothe the skin. The masque is completely fragrance free.
The masque is very easy to disperse from the tube, a gentle squeeze is enough and this allows a small amount of the product to leave the tube. I use roughly about 2 blobs of the masque and this covers my whole face. I follow the directions on the tube which say apply masque to face and throat and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
The masque is a very light orange colour, the texture is quite thick but despite the thickness of the product it is very easy to apply and covers my face and throat well. The masque smells a bit like almonds, it's not an unpleasant smell but at the same time not a scent you would want to wear all day as it's slightly sweet snd sickly.
When I have the masque on my face it feels very light, I go about with the masque on for the full 15 minutes and it's so light that at times I forget I have got it on my face. When it is on my face it is quite invisible as the very slight orange colour blends with my pale skin, I just look slightly tanned.
After 15 minutes I wash off the masque with some hand hot water. The masque washes off really well and leaves no residue at all. Even after one application I notice that my skin is rejuvenated looking and it is soft and moisturised. My skin is plumper than before I used the mask and I can notice a difference in the dark circles under my eyes, they are not nearly so dark looking and look as if they have been filled in! I think this is down to my skin being fully moisturised. I am very impressed with this masque and amazed that I have achieved this effect after only one application.
I have been using this masque once every week and the effects are still very good, though not as good as the results I received after the first application.
The masque really does rejuvenate my skin, I have normal skin with an oily t-zone and this masque has copied well even with the oily part of my skin. The nicest thing about using this masque is that when you remove it from your skin it leaves your skin pumped up and full of moisture, I don't even need to use moisturiser after using the masque.
The masque is not cheap but the tube contains 75mls of product which I think if used once a week will last about 4 months. If you are concerned about dark circles and fine lines then this may just be the product for you. The only thing I dislike about the masque is the smell. Even though it is fragrance free there is still quite a sweet sickly smell attached to this masque. Apart from the smell I really think this masque is really effective and a very good buy.
I bought the masque online and when the masque arrived the package contained 4 Dermalogica sample size products. This is a great way of trying Dermalogica products before you buy full size products.
All in all a great product from Dermalogica.
Dermalogica is one of the best selling skin care brands in the world and is loved by both the professionals and everyday consumers worldwide. They create their products with purity and simplicity in mind, so you won't be blown away by the packaging but you will be by what's inside. The company's products only include purposeful active ingredients so you won't find any artificial fragrances or colours in their creations.
The Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque by Dermalogica has been designed for mature or prematurely aging skin. It is a face Masque that allows the skin to recover from any damage that has been caused to it, while protecting it from further damage and enabling the development of new skin cells. The product controls signs of aging, soothes the skin and calms any irritations.
The purpose of a facial masque is to give the skin and complexion a more healthy and radiant glow by nourishing and moisturising. They can hydrate and replenish dry and dull skins while balancing oily skins.
The Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque is packed full of concentrated vitamins which work as antioxidants, removing free radicals and allowing the skin to regenerate and repair itself. It also hydrates, soothes and calms the skin, removing any inflammation or puffiness. The Masque also increases the elasticity of the skin and promotes the synthesis of collagen meaning your skin will look more toned and younger.
How does it work? The masque contains powerful ingredients which each serve a specific purpose for improving the skin. It is enriched with Vitamin A which is an antioxidant, and fights against those pesky free radicals by neutralising them and preventing the break down of skin cells. By doing so, it reduces any fine lines or wrinkles that you may have, making your appearance more youthful.
Vitamin C serves a similar purpose as Vitamin A, neutralising free radicals and encouraging the development of collagen which is necessary for maintaining the structure of the skin, again meaning a reduction in your fine lines and wrinkles. The increased elasticity of your skin will be repaired and the skin will be restored back to its former glory.
Vitamin E is a superhero for your skin and it's the most important antioxidant giving an improvement in its overall health. It is also an antioxidant and protects the skin from external factors such as harsh weathers and pollution. It promotes healthy skin and has some beneficial effects on scarring and strengthens the skin.
This vitamin forms an invisible barrier which prevents water from being lost from the skin. This means that the skin can maintain its natural moisture, stopping it from becoming dry and dull. It can also help the skin to regulate its production of oil to prevent your skin from looking greasy.
Vitamin F is essential fatty acids and it's needed for the healthy growth of new skin cells. It helps the cell membrane to be constructed properly, giving a suppleness to your skin.
As well as all these vitamins, the masque contains Oat Kernel which acts as an anti inflammatory and anti irritant on the skin, reducing puffiness and soreness through its calming and soothing effect. This ingredient also has a moisturising effect and prevents premature aging of the skin. The Oat Kernel reacts with the top layers of your skin and gives it an immediate tightening effect.
The Masque also contains Panthenol which is a form of Vitamin B, better known as B5. It is easily absorbed by the skin and it is has a hydrating and plumping effect. By keeping your skin highly moisturised, it means there will be a reduction in wrinkles and fine lines.
How do you use the product? You need to cover the face and throat area with this product thickly, being careful to avoid the eye area. After leaving the product on your skin for around 15 minutes, the masque can then be rinsed away with warm water.
It is safe to leave the masque on for longer if you feel that your skin needs it. You repeat this process once a week, but again, you can use it more often if you need to and you can afford to! The product actually just seems like you are rubbing a thick moisturiser into the skin, dispelling the images of thick clay masques that I had in my mind.
The packaging is a simple tube with a lid that clicks open and shut. You will need to spend around £25 for 75ml as this is one of the more upmarket beauty brands. The product is suitable for all skin types and can be bought from many online websites. If you like this product, then also available in the Multivitamin collection is Power firm, Power Recovery, Thermafoliant, Power Concentrate and the Hand & Nail Treatment.
The masque itself is a thick and heavy cream with a delicious but subtle fruity smell. It has a toffee caramel colour. It glides effortlessly over the skin which it's gorgeous consistency and because it's so thick, a little goes a long way which is a relief considering the price. It seems to melt into your skin and looks oily while it's on but this goes when you wash it away. You can feel it working its magic and when it washes away, your skin is soft and smooth and glowing with health.
My skin only has a few tiny lines so I pinch some of my mothers Power Recovery Masque whenever I go to visit. The product is designed for aging skin but because my diet is so poor and I never get enough sleep, my skin often looks dull and tired. This helps my complexion greatly and it never causes any spots or soreness on my sensitive skin.
My mother uses it as treat on a Sunday and leaves it on over night and she has noticed a big difference in the health and appearance of her skin. There's a big price tag on this product but as you will get big results too, then it's worth it.
matricaria(chamomilla recutita) extract, glyycerin, sodium polyacrylate, butyelene glycol, c12-15 alkyl benzoate, deproplene gylcol dibenzoate, ppg-15, stearyl ether benzoat, algae extract, betalucan, glyceryl stearate, peg-100 stearate, glyucereth-7 triacetate, di-c12-15 alkyl furnarate, panthenol, tocopherylacetate, babassu(orbignya oleifera) oil, avacado9persea gratissima0 oil unsaponifiables, stearyl alchol, phospholipids, retinyl palmitate, ascorbyl palmitate, linoleic acid, hydrogenated vegetable oil, beta-carotene, lactic acid, dimethicone, grape(vitis vinifera) seed extract, lemon(citrus medica limonium) peel extract, licorice(glycyrrhiza glabra) extract, comfrey(symphytum offcinale) extract, burdock(arctium majus) seed extract, chamomile(anthemis nobilis) oil, propylene glycol, soduim pca, allantoin, menthoxypropanediol, dea-cetyl phosphate, sorbitan stearate, carbomer, sclerotium gum, tetrasodium edta, triethanolamine, methylparaben, propylparaben, diazolidinyl urea, annato(ci 75120).
I believe that using a mask is an important part of any skin routine but I am usually a fan of clay and other masks that detox the skin as I am prone to breakouts so I was surprises when my beauty therapist recommended the Dermalogica multi vitamin power mask to me as I had thought it would be too heavy and rich for my skin.
It comes in a thin metal tube and inside is a thick gloopy cream that is a light orange colour. It contains an impressive list of natural botanical concentates that promise to help leave skin in tip top condition including vitamins A, C, E, Fand B5. There are also a host of other vitamins and minerals present.
The effects it promises to give you is extensive and it will help to calm and soothe skin as well as helping it to regenerate itself and even help it to decrease sensitivity.
You need to apply a layer of the mask to clean skin avoiding the eye area and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes before then rinsing it off.
As soon as I apply the mask I notice a slight stinging sensation but this literally only lasts a few seconds. Because it is so thick and greasy feeling when on the skin I notice that it makes me want to scratch the mask off but I persevere and wait the alloted time before I rinse it off.
Washing the mask off takes a couple of goes in the sink as it is so thick but when I dry my face I immediately notice just how soft and supple my skin is. There is no hint of redness or other sensitivity and my skin is left ultra calm feeling.
I was really worried that the mask would be to rich for me and cause breakouts but I neede't have worried as if anything the mask actually helps clear my skin up. My skin is left feeling so soft but there isn't a hint of greasiness when I have washed the mask off.
I paid £28 for the mask which really is an excessive amount but I do have to say that I find the mask fabulous. I don't mind paying a lot for good quality products but I expect them to last and this is where I have the problem with this mask. Even though you only need to use it once a week because you need quite a lot of it the tube doesn't last long enough for my liking and I had to buy a new one even when the rest of my Dermalogica products were still more than half full. For this reason it gets a star off but other than this I really can't fault it.
Sitting here now after rinsing off this beauty mask from about fifteen minutes ago, I can feel how smooth my skin feels and there is a softness about it much like a babies skin. The skin does look a little pink after I have used this and I am wondering how long it will be like this as it's been fifteen minutes already and I have to go out in twenty minutes to meet someone so hopefully it will fade. It's not bright red so that anyone can notice but I know that it's not the usual colour of my palatte so feel a little concious of it.
The product comes in a silver tube and cost me £20 from Ebay as I was lucky enough to be the winning bidder, a tube of 75ml will cost you anything from £22 - £25 and cam be found online at places like demalogica.com. strawberry.net and on ebay but prices vary.
To apply cut the top of the applicator and squeeze the tube onto your hands, then gently apply to all the area's of the face and neck. Be careful to avoid the eyes and the lips and the gel is a pale orangy colour which goes a little darker when dried onto the skin. It will tingle slightly but nothing to be alarmed about.
This takes about 15 to 20 minutes to dry, then you rinse it off with warm water which doesn't take long to remove it.
The results are really good and you can noticably tell the difference straight away the skin feels like it can breathe again and looks radient. The vitamins and minerals in this gel are combined to perfection for helping revitalise the skin giving it a youthful look, even though it's as a little pink and glowing after use this is worth it.
My skin feels toned, firm and soft and I am very happy with the product although I have to say that it is a little expensive and that other brands can be cheaper and some do have the same ingredients so you just have to shop around.
I'm happy to recommend this to you if you are looking for a great result in beauty mask treatment and are going out to a function of just feel you need a pampering as this is exceptional at doing it's job. There is definately a before and after effect which is great to see when you have paid a little more than your used to paying for a beauty mask.
This gets a 10 out of 10 from me although it's not anything I will be buying frequently it's something I will consider again if I need to tone and recondition my skin as I'm happy with the end results.
There are some things in life that you just have to indulge in every once in a while and this is one of those pleasures. I have only bought it twice and I have been itching to use it again. There are face masques and then there are face masques. This is a super face masque though which delivers very good results for tired, dull and haggered looking skin.
The masque is packed full of minerals and vitamins to soothe and calm stressed and tired skin. It claims to leave skin looked rejuvenated and fresher with more life. It does this by cramming in loads of vitamins and beta glucan which is great for soothing the skin.
I had a regular sized tube of this stuff and you have to snip the protector seal off the top of the bottle and then squeeze out a dollop into your fingers. Work gently over the whole face and neck and then leave it on for about ten to fifteen minutes. You will know how long to leave it on for because the masque starts to change colour and will go from a pale orange colour to a deeper orange. Do not be alarmed, this is just the ingredients working their magic. It does not tingle or sting and there is no unpleasant sensation. All I got was a mild feeling of a gel resting on my face.
Once it has set, you can rinse. The masque will not go all hard and brittle, making it easy to wipe off. I used warm water and splashed it on gently over the face and throat.
Results are stunning. You will instantly see a difference, lines seem to fade into the distance, blemishes appear less obvious and the whole face looks alert, vibrant and like it has just been on a holiday of pampering for a week. It also leaves your face feeling achingly soft and touchable and so so healthy. The best way to describe this is like cramming every great face masque into one and coming out with one amazing product.
It is very expensive, at about £22 for 75ml. A tube should give you several applications, but best reserved for very special occasions.
Beauty flash in a tube!
This miracle cure is great for all skin conditions, it refreshes, revitilises and brightens dull skin.
The vitamins contained in this masque help to stimulate collagen production so its great for the more mature complexion.
This delicious smelling, creamy, peach coloured masque can be applied all over the skin to give it that boost of vitamins it really needs. It helps to brighten dull skin, calm environmentally damaged skin and replenish dehydrated skin.
Vitamin A helps to improve elasticity and moisture. Vitamin C helps improve collagen content and suppleness of the skin. Licorice soothes and decreases sensitivity and beta glucans soothe irritation.
This tube contains all the ingrediants to help and repair and skin problem you may have. Simply apply over the skin leave on for about 15 mins, in this time it will go bright orange as it oxidises, and then remove with warm damp sponges. Your skin will have that healthy glow that everyone will comment on so is great to use before parties and special occasions and even after to get rid of that hungover look!
Wow! I am 38 and this product makes my skin appear at least 10 years younger! No Joke! I tried out a sample initially given to me by my beautician. Put it on, laid back in the bath and let it do it's job. When I washed it off my skin felt fresh and revitalised. The next day I went to work and a colleague of mine couldn't stop commenting on how great my skin looked. I got her a sample and now she is hooked too! I have sensitive skin and this product gave me no problems at all, it gave me a glow...not a rash! it smells lovely, really fruity and is a lovely fruity orange colour. There is no overpowering perfume, just a subtle natural fragrance. I paid £22.50 ror a 75ml tube, and it lasts a long time. You don't need very much of the product, just a thin layer. If you want a glow, and to look refreshed then get some today!
I first became aware of Dermalogica's Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque through hearing about it constantly in beauty magazines with numerous celebrities quoting it as their "must have" product for when their skin was looking dull and they had been overdoing it with the constant partying. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a party girl, but as an aspiring opera singer I work hard at my day job and then spend most nights and weekends at rehearsals or lessons, so I tend to run myself to a pretty tight schedule leaving not much time for relaxing. All of this takes its toll on my skin and last April, when I was in the middle of a show run, my skin looked particularly tired and dull. This was when I decided to bite the bullet and invest in the Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque.
Dermalogica are not my usual type of skincare/cosmetic company - to quote from their website: "Dermalogica is founded on the belief that good skin care is not about pampering or luxury...any more than brushing your teeth or washing your hair is! Call us no-nonsense, but we believe that consumers want results, not frilly packaging or overblown hype. And we've found that consumers and leading skin care professionals alike in over 40 countries agree!" Now I like my products to be much more about pampering so this "basic" philosophy didn't really grab me. However, I am now about to eat my words...!
This masque is for anyone with tired looking skin, ageing skin, skin affected by bad weather or damaged skin. A powerful masque of concentrated vitamins A, C, E and F to help skin recover from damage that leads to skin aging and tired looking skin while enhancing barrier properties and promoting healthy tissue regeneration. Vitamin A helps increase elasticity and moisture content while antioxidant vitamins C and E help shield skin from free radicals. Nutrient-rich Algae Extract helps moisturize and soften skin, and Pro-Vitamin B5 helps promote restoration of damaged skin while botanical extracts of Licorice, Comfrey and Burdock soothe, calm and help decrease sensitivity. All of these little goodies work together to brighten your skin and restore it to full health.
The masque comes in a silver "toothpaste" style tube - very practical for this type of consistency as it means you really can squeeze every little bit out. The consistency is really thick and creamy and is peach in colour. It has a slight lemony smell to it, although there are no colours or fragrances added to the product.
To use, you simply need to smooth a thick layer of the masque onto your face and then wait for 10-15 minutes while the vitamins and minerals do their stuff. As your skin absorbs the goodies, the masque turns a bit orange in colour which is how you know when it's time to remove it. To remove it you just need to rinse your face with warm water and gently pat dry with a towel.
The results this achieves really are outstanding. It left my skin feeling fresh, firmer, more toned, moisturised, with my pores looking minimised and a generally healthy glow. The firming effect it had on my skin was particularly impressive (I am in my mid 20s) and from the superb effects it had on me I'm sure this would be a fantastic anti-aging product. I find with some masques that I need to avoid using them if I am suffering from any redness or blemishes as they can irritate, but this is really calming and soothing on any irritated patches.
I bought this for £22 from HQhair.com and I can honestly say it's been worth every penny. This is as close as I have come to finding a miracle skin cure in a tube - if it gives results like these, I can forgive Dermalogica for their lack of fancy packaging!
