I have recently bought a full sized Dermalogica product so I have a few samples to use up. I do like this brand as I think it works pretty well on my Oily skin.
The full sized tube of this is 170ml which seems like a strange size but some brands measure more in ounces and not mls so the sizes always seem a bit odd. My little sample was only enough to use this twice, but at least I got to see what this was like. I have looked online for this product to price it and it isn't cheap - This can cost upwards of £40 so very expensive in my view and not a price I would spend on a Mask anyway. The products are good quality I would say though.
Since I only got a couple of sachets of this then I can't comment on the proper packaging so I just had to squirt this out of an opened sachet. Fine by me though since I got this for free.
Just apply this in the usual way - Smooth this onto cleansed dry skin. This is quite thick but I was expecting this to be thicker. It smoothes over your face easily enough and although this doesn't dry and go tight it does go a little bit firmer. It is recommended that you use this product once a week. Just wash this off with warm water after 10 minutes.
There isn't much of a scent from this. It smells a bit of a fresh scent and more so a moisturising Cream scent. The scent is pretty neutral and just a nice enough scent.
So how do I find this worked on my skin? I found this to be alright. After washing this off I felt that my skin felt nice and soft and although I still had the odd spot after using this along with my other face products but I felt that this seemed to work well on my face. My Oily bits seemed to be soft, smooth and the Greasiness seemed to stay away well. My skin on my Cheeks are generally that bit drier than the rest of my face but this softened well.
A good enough product that I would perhaps consider using but it would have to be a lot less expensive than the normal price.
This summer my usually dry skin became quite greasy. I have a close friend who works in a beauty salon and she suggested I try a product made by Dermalogica to help control the greasy areas on my face. I have used several Dermalogica products and am a huge fan, so was more than happy to give this a try! The product she recommended is a plankton masque. I was lucky enough to given a sample of the masque as the high price tag may have put me off!
The masque comes in a plain white tube that fits perfectly with the Dermalogica philosophy that skin care is a health issue and not a beauty issue. Founded 25 years ago in America Dermalogica is widely used in beauty salons by professional beauty therapists. Its products are very expensive and this masque retails at around £50 for a 170ml tube! It is designed to be used weekly after cleansing. Dermalogica recommend that you also first use their repairing essence although I didn't do so.
Dermalogica say that this masque is enriched with mineral and aqua bio-substances to help absorb excess oil. It promises that after use your skin will feel smooth and large skin pores will tighten. The masque is designed to remove dead skin cells and other debris.
The masque is really easy to apply; simply cleanse your face and apply a small amount of the masque, massaging it onto your skin. The masque should be left on for about 10 minutes before being rinsed away with warm water. The masque has no particular smell and feels quite light when its on my face-unlike some masques I have tried.
After trying this masque a few times I really could see a difference in my skin. The oily shiny areas disappeared and my skin appeared brighter and smoother. I was so impressed that I decided to buy a tube for myself from my local salon. I use the masque about once a week and enjoy the relaxing 10 minute wait for it to work! I know that this is a very expensive product, but you really only need a very small amount for each masque and it really does make a huge improvement!
