      A real treat!

I recently bought a wash off cleanser from Dermalogica and when it arrived in the post the package also included a generous 7ml sample of Dermalogica Super Rich Repair.

      The Product:
Super Rich Repair is a A super-concentrated, heavyweight cream that combats chronically dry, dehydrated and prematurely-aging skin conditions while it repairs and protects. As the richest Dermalogica Moisturiser, it soothes, hydrates and replenishes even the thirstiest skin while acting as a protective salve to fight extreme cold and dry environmental conditions. This moisturiser contains no artificial fragrance or colour.

      My Results:
After great success with the Dermalogica wash off cleanser I was keen to try the Super Rich Moisturiser. I have combination skin and I have tried lots of moisturisers. I expect my skin to actually feel moisturised after using a moisturiser. Lately I have tried a few new on the market products and I have found they have contained such a light moisture formula that they are no use at all to my skin. When you spend money on a moisturiser then your money is gone and you need the product to work.

I cleanse and tone my face and apply a very small blob of this moisturiser, only about the size of a 10p piece. The product is quite white in colour, almost an artificial white. The texture is rich and creamy, so dense that you can not see thorugh the moisturiser, it is a thick product. There is really no smell at all to this moisturiser, it just smells clean, really the smell of the moisturiser is nearly identical to the smell of the rinse off cleanser I have been using.

As soon as the moisturiser reaches my face it stays put, it does not sink into my skin until I rub it in, the 10p piece blob proves to be enough product for my face and neck, a little goes a long way but as I said before this is a dense, thick product.

This product moisturises my skin well, the only thing I would say that if you apply too much of this product it will overload your skin. After using the moisturiser my skin feels very hydrated and very supple. My fine lines really are diminished and my skin glows. This is the best moisturiser I have used for a long time.

The moisturiser is marketed for chronically dry, mature or prematurely-aging skin. My skin is none of these things, it is combination. Even though my skin type does not fit the profile of this product, I will say this - my skin feels great, after using this cream my skin feels moisturised for hours and the glowing supple feeling you get is wonderful. I am considering buying a full size tub of this moisturiser and going by the small amount you need 50mls of this product should last about 2 months.

If you are looking for an intense, hydrating moisturiser then I can recommend this product, just try to get a sample size of the product first because £40 for 50mls is too much to spend on this product if it does not work for your skin type. If it does then you are in for a treat.

The more I use Dermalogica products the more I like them, especially the fact that they all seem to have the same clean smelling scent.

Immediately soothes and hydrates the dryest of skin

This super-rich heavy weight moisturiser is a god send to extremely dry skin. It delivers immediate results with maximum effects.

Its concentrated ingrients include evening primrose oil and shea butter relieveing tired dry skin, reinforcing its moisture and defensive barrier.

Its antioxidants help to protect against the environment which is one of the biggest causes of premature aging while its peptides and acid-free renewal complex encourage collagen production, drastically improve tone and elasticity and help to smooth out those fine lines.

This product is in Dermalogica's new Age Smart range and can be found at many of the worlds leading salons. Dermalogica does not use any artificial colours, fragrances, lanolin or drying alcohols unlike many brands.

As a therapist myself I find Dermalogica the best range and have not had anyone react to it unlike many other products! Even the most sensitive of skins can use something within the range.

I find my clients have superb results with this moisturiser even the ones with chronically dry crepey looking skin. It may be a little more expensive than other brands but it works better than any other I've found!

Its handy packaging means you cannot spill any as you have to push the top down for it to squirt out the middle, this also means that it squeezes out every last drop so you really are getting your moneys worth.
