      A disappointing product from DHC

As some of you know from my previous reviews, I have fairly sensitive skin and am extremely scent sensitive (most fragrances cause headaches, dizziness or trouble breathing). I have found a Japanese based skincare company called DHC which make a number of high quality products that work extremely well on my skin. All their products are free from parabens and most are free from unnecessary fragrances and colourings (I've noticed that a few of the new hair products have added fragrance). When I placed my last order I needed a few pounds to qualify for free shipping. I decided to buy a pack of Body Cleansing Sheets- Powder. I assumed these were the same as the "Body Cleansing Sheets" which I had used and loved back when I lived in the USA. How wrong I was...

      ---Packaging---
DHC Powder Sheets come in a light blue foil lined plastic pouch (similar to baby wipes) with a snowflake pattern which contains 10 sheets. There is a resealable flap on strong plastic to open and close the package. It creates a good seal and the remaining sheets do not dry out after the package has been opened. The back of the package contains the usual information- ingredients, company address, and directions for use.

      ---The Sheets---
The powder sheets resemble the 'body cleansing sheets' from the USA line. They are white and roughly the size of an A5 sheet of paper. The fibers create a fine net of strong material. The sheets feel quite soft on the skin, but the texture helps remove dirt and grime. However, this is where the resemblance to the USA product I remember ends. While those were "a revitalizing solution of cucumber and shiso (a member of the mint family)" these sheets smell strongly of rubbing alcohol, strong enough that the smell lingers on the skin for some time after use.

The sheets feel very cold on the skin, likely from the alcohol. They do clean and refresh after a fashion, but the cold, tingling sensation is not particularly pleasant. I also find they leave my skin quite dry.

      ---Price and Availability---
Body Cleansing Sheets- Powder are available from DHC's UK website (www.dhc.co.uk) for £3.50. DHC has frequent sales and it is worth waiting for products to go on offer. You get 4 free samples with every order in addition to loyalty reward points, which can be redeemed for most any product.

      ---Conclusion---
I haven't loved every product I've tried from DHC, but these are the first I have truly disliked. Although these sheets do a reasonable job of removing dirt, sweat and grime I find them unpleasant to use and too harsh for my skin. I would not recommend them and will not buy them again. However, if you are in the USA (or Japan) and have the opportunity to try DHC's "Body Cleansing Sheets" (the ones in the pink packet), they are lovely and nothing at all like these horrid sheets.
