When I bought this product, I was told by the sales representative that it would remove seven layers of skin, so it should only be used once a week to begin with. I'm not sure if this is actually the case, but it certainly feels as though it's taking care of a few of them. Unlike some exfoliating products, however, surprisingly, it doesn't seem to be too harsh. While you're using it - they recommend spending one to two minutes exfoliating - it does start to feel as though your face might be red raw afterwards, but as soon as you wash it off, your skin just feels a little smoother, without feeling as though you've overdone it.
In a way, I was quite surprised - after hearing the claims about what it can do - that this product didn't make you feel as though you'd been attacked with sandpaper. On the other hand, however, I suppose I had hoped it would "do more", particularly as it has "microdermabrasion" on the label and is not just a basic exfoliator. As a general exfoliating product to be used once or twice a week and remove dead skin cells, I would say it is a reasonable option. Or at least, it would be, if it weren't for the price. I paid a whopping £65 for this product and it was certainly not worth anywhere near that. I have seen it a little cheaper elsewhere, but in the end, I think you are paying for the name. I wouldn't say this exfoliating cream is worth any more than about £15 to £20, and don't expect amazing results, either. If it's microdermabrasion you want, it might be better to visit a salon.
