Advantages: Dermatological, effective moisturiser, easily absorbed, perfume free
Disadvantages: Perfume free might not suit everybody
I was introduced to E45 Cream on a Bzz Campaign - as well as Nourish and Restore by E45 I was also sent a bottle of the E45 Moisturising Lotion.
This bottle is the 200ml version, which the review is based on. The bottle states it's Dermatological, so I felt happy applying this to by son who has Eczema, I use this on his face when he gets dry patches, it works really well and blasts the dry patches overnight.
I wouldn't use this head to toe for his Eczema however, he needs a heavier cream like Doublebase for that purpose. It's perfect for more delicate areas like the face.
The bottle itself is white with a flip top cap. It's easily opened and you can simply tip the bottle upside down and a little squeeze will dispense the cream. This bottle contains 200ml of the product.
The label on the front of the bottle states 'Soothes, softens and relieves dry and sensitive skin'. I totally agree with this, I've used it on my face where dry patches have appeared and husband on his hands, it's very effective and gives instant relief. As with my son, dry patches are eliminated overnight. It doesn't cause any spot breakouts either, even when used on the face. It's doesn't leave a greasy feel on the skin, just a nice amount of moisture.
The cream itself is white, it doesn't look very thick and is absorbed into the skin reasonably easily. It's perfume free, so if you're looking for something nice smelling this probably isn't for you, it does however do the job of moisturising extremely well. It's not a cream that you put on and need to apply again 12 - 24 hours later either for smaller dry patches.
I've since purchased more of the cream, it's perfect to have in the cupboard to rid any dry skin patches. Great for all the family.
