Advantages: Soft on skin, does have good results, well priced as only a small amount is needed, smells great

Disadvantages: None from me on this one

I was very lucky to be brought a weekend break at a Spa last year; it was a lovely treat and one that I will always remember. It combined everything that I love, relaxing, and good food and beauty products. Imagine my delight when there were big reductions on the products available at the spa, my friend and I were out of control and after recommendation and a chat with a therapist I ended up purchasing the Elemis Absolute eye mask. The Elemis brand is not one that you see that often but at the Spa the products were everywhere and we were able to try as many as we wanted. I had a facial during my time at the Spa and the Elemis products were used, hence me wanting to take the Eye mask home, I had fallen well and truly for the brand and here are my thoughts.

The Elemis Eye mask will normally cost you around the £20 mark which in my opinion is not a bad price to pay really. The Elemis brand is not one that you will find in high street shops, I cannot even purchase it in my local Debenhams but you can find it in places like House of Fraser and John Lewis as well as being able to purchase it from some beauty websites. The Elemis brand is not the cheapest out there but I have seen eye mask products more expensive as well.

The product comes in a silver tube and I like to think of it as a face mask dedicated to the under eye area! It is a bit of a treat for the part of my face that really does look rough sometimes! There are those occasions when I notice the dark circles more than others and this eye mask is to try and help reduce them. The front of the product has quite a minimal look to it, there is the Elemis logo and the name of the product. It is on the reverse of the eye mask that you will get a breakdown of the ingredients that have been used as well as directions for use and more on the product itself. We are told that it will rejuvenate and revitalised the tired eye and that is quite a challenge looking at my eyes sometimes!

The eye mask needs to be applied after you have cleansed your face and we are told to use it as a weekly treat. The eye mask is a white colour and is a gel so has quite a thick texture. The eye gel seemed to come out quite quickly and as you only need a small amount, just be aware! The gel needs to be put under the eye area but not on the eye lid or eye, you just need to then sit back and after 10 minutes rinse the gel off. The process was really easy and I was able to get on with other things as well perfect! The smell of the gel is amazing, there is rose and lavender mixed in and whilst it is floral, it is also really refreshing; the scent did not affect my eye at all.

The results were actually quite impressive for me, there was a definite reduction in the dark circles and my skin appeared to be less puffy. I like that you only had to use the product once a week and that it had such a good long lasting effect. As you only need a small bit, the 30ml bottle is still going well for me and I brought this just after Christmas. My eye was not irritated by the gel, just refreshed and left feeling great. I would be happy to recommend this Elemis eye mask.

5 out of 5 from me
