I adore Elemis products, and regularly spend quite a bit in the beauticians adding to my Elemis stash! On my last visit I bought 3 products and spent a small fortune on them, but my beautician very kindly offered me a free product to chose and as it's not something I would normally chose I picked the Enzyme Peel. At its full price it is around the £28 mark, and is pretty standard for Elemis prices.

When I first got it home, I didn't really know how to use this product as it's not a face mask as I initially thought. You use the product in much the same way as you would a mask, but in your skin care regime you need to apply this after cleansing but before you apply a face mask. This process will remove any dead skin cells which will actually then allow the face mask to work at its most effective. You will also need less product (face mask) and this of course results in it lasting longer.

It is worth mentioning that if you do have problem skin as I do, then you have to be very careful when using this product. I suffer from Rosacea and when I have a flare up I would not even consider effectively stripping my skin by using this product. I do take medication though so have times when my skin is 'normal', and I have no problems using it at these times.

The smell is gorgeous but subtle, which for me is perfect. It smells fruity and you can certainly smell the pineapple and papaya. It is these fruit extracts and enzymes that work and break down the horrible build up that we get on our face from everyday life and pollution. I know from using the brand Elemis that I am using a product made from natural ingredients and I don't want an overpowering or heavily scented smell, but this smells so subtle its beautiful.

I find that when I have used this product, my skin looks rejuvenated and smooth. My skin is bright and really does look noticeably improved. It is also intensively moisturised too, so rather than feeling moisturised for a few hours, I notice a difference for at least 4 or 5 days, which is fine as I use this product once a week.

To use, you would apply in much the same way as a mask. I often use mine while having a relaxing bath, and love to sit with it for around ten minutes. Simply rinse with warm water, and pat the skin dry. If you then wish to apply a mask after then you would apply this in the usual way. I can also thoroughly recommend the Elemis Deep Clean face mask to use alongside this product.

I would thoroughly recommend this product and I'm so glad I found it. I will be more than happy to actually pay for it next time! It does last quite a while, especially if you only use it once a week. You certainly don't need much for each application and a little does go a long way.
