Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner
Advantages: Soft on skin, refreshing on skin, leaves it feeling amazing
Disadvantages: None for me
When I was offered a facial at my local salon for a reduced price offer I was quick to take them up on it. I love anything like that; as I am sure you will know if you have read any of my previous reviews! I only had to pay £8.00 at the salon and as I go there on a regular basis I knew I could trust the people and the products. The products that were used were the Elemis ones and I guess the reason for offering the cheaper facials was to get people to buy the products ad me being a one for beauty products it wasn't long before I had made a purchase and it was the Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner that I ended up coming home with and here are my thoughts on it.
The Toner will normally cost you around the £17.40 mark and whilst I appreciate that this is slightly expensive, I do think that it is around the same price that I have paid for Estee Lauder and Clarins toners in the past, in fact I had a small amount taken off as I was making the purchase following the facial. You can only really buy the Toner from Departmental stores such as House of Fraser and John Lewis; I have not seen it in branches of Debenhams. It can also be purchased online at places like Amazon and Cheapsmells, the price will always be around the £17.00 to £18.00 mark.
The bottle that the Toner comes in is 200ml in size and it is clear so you can see the peach colour toner through it. The bottle has the Elemis logo on the front and the name of the product. On the reverse of the bottle are directions for use as well as a breakdown of the ingredients that have been used. We are told by Elemis that the product contains 'extracts of tonifying Ginseng' and that it will remove all last traces of cleanser and make up.
The first thing that I noticed when I began to use the toner was the lovely scent that went with it. All you need to do is put a small amount on a cotton wool pad and wipe over the face and neck area. The toner will revitalise and nourish your skin to leave it fresh and feeling comfortable. That is one of the most important things for me when choosing a toner, that it leave my skin feeling fresh and that it doesn't leave it feeling tight in any way.
You only need a small amount of the toner and it is not in any way greasy on your skin. I like that the toner does remove all those last traces of dirt that has built up and all with a lovely floral scent as well. What I liked most about the toner was that it did leave my skin feeling really soft and almost as if I had already put a moisturiser on. After a few weeks using this product I did notice that my skin was looking a lot clearer and that it was also less blotchy in places.
I would not hesitate in recommending this product; I think that it is of good value and whilst expensive, as you only need a small amount it is really long lasting. With a great fragrance and with it being delicate on the skin as well I will certainly be buying some more.
5 out of 5 from me on this one
Thank you for reading
