This is the ideal product to use when you have exfoliated your skin.
The properties within this aim to lift and cleanse your skin from the day to day ithat build up.
A rehydration for your skin using rose water, Lectichin and vitamin D /F.
This is a rich cleansing milk that is applied to your skin daily and can be used morning and night.
This is particularly recommended for those with mature skin, but this works very well after exfoliating your skin, it is calming and restorative milk ingredients and I must say it really leaves your skin feeling super smooth and soft.
It is the perfect way to finish off your cleansing routine.
Massage into your skin with the tips of your fingers for a few minutes, helping the circulation of your skin to absorb this cleanser, then with warm water and a flannel gently in upwards motions remove the cleanser.
Allow your skin to dry naturally or pat your face dry, never wipe your face with a towel as it will break the skin.
I would higly recommend this product as part of a daily routine.
I have always cleansed toned and moisturised twice a day since I was a teenager, but always chosen the cheap/medium priced products.
Until I had an Elemis facial that is! I had the facial as a treatment in a spa and fell completely in love with their products on the spot.
The therapist used the Rosepetal cleanser and when she applied it, it felt wonderful and smelt very nice. Afterwards she gave me a list of the products she used on my skin and as soon as I got home I scanned the internet for the cheapest price and ordered one straightaway.
I've used it twice a day since and I've even had a few comments from people about the glow I have on my face. So it must work pretty well! My skin feels really soft and the little dry patches from the winter months have disappeared. I use it before their Gingseng Toner (I'll leave a review for that too) and their Maximum Moisture cream and it takes off all my makeup easily and quickly. No rubbing is necessary!
It comes in a nice sturdy bottle within a box. It's not cheap, but I think it's worth the money as it seems to be lasting quite a long time.
Would definitely by it again.
I'm a big fan of the cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day... maybe this is the reason I've got good skin at the ripe old age of 38...maybe....but my mum was also a big believer of this and she has got great skin!
Before I was introduced to Elemis, I did use Christian Dior skincare.. the reason I tried Elemis was through recommendation and than I discovered a website which specialised in Elemis and also had good discounts www.timetospa.co.uk so I decided to try their skincare..
This cleanser does smell like rose, and whilst as a child I made rose perfume, this cleanser smells alot better! The bottle comes with a pump action so its easy to get out and control how much you need. I tend to use two pumps each time and it usually lasts me around 6-8 months...
It costs £19.00 for a 200ml bottle so some may think its expensive but I do believe that you get what you pay for so I will always pay that little extra for my skincare products... At christmas they did do a giftbox with a cleanser, toner and moisturiser for £49.00 which was an absolute bargain!
The consistency is fairly light...I think Dior is slightly lighter... and I apply it with my fingers and it does rub in well... you do need to take it off with toner though and I must admit my cotton pad usually reflects the amount of makeup I've put on that day...!
One of the other things with the bottle is that although it has a pump, the top does actually unscrew so you can get the last bit out of the bottle without wasting any...(you can't do that with Dior bottles!)
I'm actually on my second bottle and I've been really pleased with the Elemis products.. If you don't mind paying that bit extra I would definitely recommend them!
All of the Elemis products are absolutely gorgeous, and this cleanser is no exception!
I bought it because I liked the sound of it - I love anything that smells of roses, and as I am very bad at getting round to cleaning my face I thought having such a lovely cleanser would inspire me to do it more often!
The rose-petal cleanser is actually aimed at mature or dry skin whereas I am only 27 and have combination (mainly oily) skin but I have actually found that this cleanser suits my skin really well. It smells beautiful, is really gentle on my skin but also removes make-up (including waterproof mascara) really easily.
It was quite expensive but it is a large bottle and a small amount goes quite a long way. I have to admit, I still dont clean my face as often as I should ut having such a luxurious and effective cleanser definitely does push me to do it a bit more often!
I think in regard to beauty, you really do get what you pay for, and as you are stuck with your face for the rest of your life (unless face transplants become the latest plastic surgery craze!) so you may as well spend a bit of time and money taking care of your skin!
