I really do love the scent of tea tree and believe it has great properties for facial skin. I try and use tea tree products wherever possible and was therefore very pleased to find this Escenti Facial Wash which is stocked by both Bodycare (£1.19) and Home Bargains (99p) in a 150ml plastic tube.
I have never seen it in Boots or Superdrug or any of the major supermarkets and this is my only slight gripe with this product as in order to get it I have to make a special trip to these stockists. Mind you I do quite a bit of bargain hunting so a visit to Home Bargains is never too much of a chore!
The packaging is a blue colour and the lid is situated at the bottom of the tube so that it stands on it. This makes accessing the gel very easy. The gel itself is a greenish colour with darker flecks which act as a slight exfoliant (although this is not a scrub). The ingredients include teatree, peppermint oil and methol which gives it a lovely, slightly medicinal and minty scent.
You will need a 50p size amount in order to wash face and neck, with a small amount of water it lathers up a treat and feels lovely on the skin. Once you have lathered and rubbed it rinses off very quickly and easily and I find that it leaves my skin feeling clean and a little tingly (in a good way) but not at all tight.
I use this daily in the shower and love it, considering how cheap it is, I feel that it works equally as well as much more expensive brands and it feels like a quality product. A tube lasts me a few months and it is a delight to use, the way it smells and the way it makes your skin feel are mega plus points for me. I have never heard of Escenti as a brand before but based on my experience with this facial wash I would certainly be inclined to try other products in their range.
Apparently Escenti are best known for their head lice range for children which also feature tea tree and natural ingredients.
A great face wash at a bargain price.
