Fab face food
Every so often (more often than not) I really feel as though my skin needs a lift, and so it's time to get out the face masks.
This one promises to reveal the "new you", by effectively removing dead skin and leaving your face sparkling and deeply cleansed. Sounds a tall order but that's exactly what it promises.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The Mask is suitable for all skin types. People with dry or sensitive skin should use it once a week, and those with normal or greasy skin should use it twice weekly.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING
This comes in a sachet with a bit of the corner torn off apparently for easy opening. Not so- scissors were still required. The sachet is quite jolly looking with half a peach, a happy smiling face and something which looks more like runny toffee than elderflower.
Once opened though, the product squeezed out nicely revealing a whitish coloured cream with tiny little particles- the bits which will be exfoliating my skin. It has a definite peachy smell; although it is peach and elderflower, the elderflower is not especially evident. However, the peach smell works for me because I imagine it will be nice smelling that smell when it's on my face.
HOW TO USE IT
The face must be thoroughly cleansed and the mask applied evenly using fingertips and in a circular motion (bit of a massage going on here). Avoid mouth and eye area lie back and leave it to work for 10 minutes. Then, rinse with water and dry. Very easy.
WHO MAKES IT?
Made by Cut from the Wild, UK
The website, www.fabfacefood.com has lots of information about the different products.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
This cost me 99p, and is available in chemists and random shops
I used the mask as directed and found that I did like it. The smell is fresh and fruity, and the tiny particles felt as though they were exfoliating my skin without being at all abrasive. When I washed off the mask, fortunately, my face didn't look all red, but it did look and feel very clean. The small sachet lasted me 4 uses, so it is excellent value. There is no information about how much to use but I felt as though I was using the correct amount, and there was certainly too much for it to be only one use.
There is a warning about testing the product on your arm before in case of allergies, but I saw this after I had used it, and thankfully I got no reactions
A gentle exfoliating mask which I would recommend to anyone liking to just lie in the bath with a mask on their face.
Thanks for reading.
