Flexitol Heel Balm
Advantages: Really does do what it says on the label
Disadvantages: It's expensive
I was at the counter in Lloyds chemist one day, with a friend, paying for an item when I saw the box for Flexitol Heel Balm.
I said to my friend "Look at that." pointing to the box. "Do these companies think we're stupid?" I was referring to the "before" and "after" pictures of a person's feet on the box. "Before" is a pair of very dry, deeply cracked heels. They looked awful. Horrendous, in fact. The "After" picture is of a pair of lovely feet with soft heels. No dry skin and no deep cracks. A different person's feet, if you'd asked me.
"Do these people really think we fall for things like that?" I asked my friend. She was pulling a face too and shaking her head in disgust and disbelief, just like me.
From behind the counter the assistant spoke, almost apogetically, "Actually, it works!"
I looked questioningly at her and she said "Honestly, it works." I looked at my friend, who was looking a bit confused, and then back at the assistant. "Your going to say that though, aren't you? You want to sell it to us."
She laughed and told me that it made absolutely no difference to her if I bought it or not, but that it worked. She explained that she and a few of her colleagues had tried it and were all very pleased with it.
So, I bought it, fully intending to bring it back for a refund when I found it didn't really work afterall. But, to my absolute amazement I found that......
IT DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS ON THE LABEL.
I suffer from dry skin in general and I've found that this product, used twice a day, makes your feet look and feet lovely.
I've always struggled with sandals in the summer because I put moisturiser on my feet and within a couple of hours the dry patches are back. Not with Flexitol Heel Balm. It's great!!!
It's not the cheapest, unfortunately, but I know that when I use it in the mornings, if I'm wearing sandals I know that my heels stay great looking all day.
I slap a bit more on at night, before bedtime and put on a pair of socks to make sure that balm doesn't rub off and make my bed clothes soft and moist instead of me.
It's a great product and I've even been known to put a tiny bit on my lips if I didn't have my lip balm handy.
Flexitol do a range of products from this to lip and hand balm - which I've tried and been very happy with. Also, you don't need to use it for long before you see results, which is a definate plus. I found after 3 or so days my feet, in general, were looking much better.
The only downside is it's not cheap - but it is worth the money.
Summary: If you want a product to get rid of those horrible dry skin patches on your feet, this is it!
