Advantages: It works

Disadvantages: Could smell nicer, bit expensive

As we are beginning to get towards the possibility of seeing some nicer weather soon its time to start sorting out my feet to make sure they look good for sandals! Heel balm is perfect for the job.

Heel Balm comes in a small blue cardboard box with 'before' and 'after' pictures on the front to show the amazing difference it can make. In fairness this was one thing that put me off buying it for quite awhile as the picture of the 'before' freaked me out a little as its quite severe cracked, dry heels. However, I overcame my fear of the picture and decided to give it a go - it cost me around £5.00 for a 56g tube from Boots.

The cream itself is very thick and yellow in colour. The smell isnt paticularly nice as it has a slight antiseptic smell to it but neither is it unpleasent. As the cream is very thick it can be slightly difficult to completley rub in compared to a normal moisturiser. The packaging informs you to use this twice a day, morning and night.

I was shocked after using this at how quickly it works, I just have very dry heels and within a week they looked so much better. I know this isnt a very sexy thing to do but I think wearing socks in bed after applying this cream definitely helps it work even better. I continued using it twice daily for another couple of weeks to make sure that all the dry skin was completely gone. I then started to use this less frequently, using a normal moisturiser aswell and just using this a couple of days a week instead. Heel balm has meant that my feet have turned from dry to super smooth and lovely!

I think the most off putting thing with this product is the price for how much product you actually get. However, as it works its more than worth it. Also when you bring your heels to a 'normal' state you can use a normal moisturiser at times instead of this product meaning you wont use up so much. I would recommend this to anyone with dry heels to get ready for the sandal season and for those with really cracked heels I can see this working a treat, though I would suspect it would take longer to see the results.

Summary: Use this to sort out your feet for the summer!
