“ Brand: Flower Power / Type: Face Mask / Suitable for: Face / What it does: Nourishes „
One of the perks of being a teacher is that at Christmas you sometimes get little gifts from members of your class. This year I was overwhelmed by the generosity of the parents. I had so many lovely goodies. One of the gifts I received was a Flower Power, Botanic Extract, Rose Moisture Balance Facial Mask.
~Who are Natural Products?~
The company who produces the Face mask is called Natural Products Ltd. I had never heard of them so I went onto their website to find out a little more....
It turns out they are retail company and are a leading designer and wholesaler of gifts in the UK - not what I was expecting! One of the brands they sell is Flower Power skin products.

The packet is pale pink with red and lilac lettering above a drawing of wild flowers and butterflies. This gives the hint that this is a natural product! The lettering on the front claims that the Botanic Extract Rose Moisture balance Facial mask is easy to use and that it is a 15 minute treatment.
' A relax at-home facial for intensified moisture and vibrant, soft and silky smooth skin'.
I must admit I don't use face masks very often, so I was looking forward to 15 minutes relaxation, with a good book. My skin needed plenty of moisturising after the recent cold snap. Before I started I read the details on the back of the packet. Firstly it suggests you use the mask once or twice a week after cleansing, but I don't think that is likely to happen! Anyway I only have one mask.
Using a face mask isn't difficult, however I was surprised that the packet did not contain a gel or another liquid substance, but a moistened soft cloth with holes cut out in the appropriate places for your face!
'Rose Moisture balance contains rose extract to deliver unsurpassed moisture and potent nourishment to your skin.'
The face cloth was very moist and it took me a while to position it on my face correctly. If you have a particulary small face then this mask may well cover most of your head!! I think it looked funnier than a normal mask. My family trudged up one by one to have a laugh , after being tipped off by their Dad that there was an alien in the house - so much for a relaxing 15 minutes! The smell of the mask was lovely with a gentle aroma of roses.
Anyway, after the allotted time I gently massaged the remaining fluid from the mask onto my skin (as instructed) and inspected my face.....
My skin looked healthy, almost glowing, and it certainly felt very smooth and soft. Overall I felt as though my skin had received some nourishment, which I guess is the main purpose of a face mask.
On the packet there is a long list of ingredients which I won't bore you with, along with the usual warnings about not applying the mask to irritated skin.
~Recommended ? ~
Yes I think so! It was a lovely gift and I felt relaxed and my skin nourished after using the treatment. I am only giving 4 stars because is was a bit tricky to put this on correctly.
At £1.50 I think it's probably not a bad price for a facial treatment, and a great idea for a little gift. I am going to get my daughters teacher something like this for a present at the end of the summer term.
