Garnier BB Cream is a fairly new product to the market and was one of the first BB Creams to reach the UK.
BB Creams, standing for Blemish Balm, is an all in one product and Garnier says "Get radiant, flawless and clear skin in one simple ste. Garnier B.B cream provides instantly perfected skin with an even tone and boosted glow, for skin that looks healthy and dewy without looking caked or shimmery. ""
This product can be used on its own, as a base or as a primer. The thing that stands out to me with BB creams are that they supply colour but with added benefits to your skin.
I do not own the bottle of this, but one is definately on my shopping list! In order to try before I buy, I ordered some samples, available directly from Garnier. The fact I received the samples for free does not affect my opinion at all. I feel that this is a great quality product that I will be purchasing in full size.
The consistency of this product surprised me. As a primer/moisturizer combination, I expected this to be thin/ watery in texture. The consistency of this product is quite thick, similar to that, if not thicker, than a foundation. A little of this product goes a long way and blends effortlessly, easier than foundation.
This BB cream is available in Light and Medium, which to me is quite limited for a product. I am very fair skinned and did find that when swatching this it was quite dark in comparison to my skin. Rest assured, if I only use a little of this product, I can easily blend it to better suit my skin colour.
The finish of this product is very dewy and glowy. As someone who suffers from very dry skin, I don't often complain if something is very moisturizing or oily, but I did find that I needed to set the product with a powder as it didn't seem natural without one.
As for lasting power, this product, if used as a foundation/tinted moisturizer replacement, will not last as long but will last 5-7 hours if set with a powder.
I feel that this product reaches its claims. It's moisturizing, I leaves your skin looking and feeling health with a boosted glow.
This BB Cream RRP is £9.99 and is available in Boots and Superdrug Skincare aisles. It comes in a squeezey tube that will conveniently dispense the product.
I would rate this product 4 stars as its colour range and lasting power could be improved.
Summary: A must have for all year.
