Being quite a lazy person, I always have cleansing wipes on hand to sort my face out first thing in the morning, if I can't be bothered to have a proper wash (often). I quite often use them to get rid of the remaining traces of makeup from the night before, too.
I generally go for the cheapest I can find as when you're using them every day the price can add up. However, I was in a rush recently and in quite a small shop, these were the only ones I could find.
At £3.99, they're by no means expensive, but when you can get cheaper to do the job, it doesn't always seem worth it.
However, after a week or so of using these wipes I suddenly noticed my complexion looking much brighter and healthier. It took me a while to realise that I could attribute this directly to the wipes. I was very impressed - when I want to go all out and make my skin look great I usually invest in a face mask, exfolliant, or expensive moisturiser - but here was the humble facewipe achieving those results for me!
They're not scented with some fake 'fresh' smell like some brands, nor do they smell 'chemically' - and you can tell they're good quality wipes, with just the right amount of moisture.
I might also add - they do reomve my makeup a treat, and I tend to wear a fair bit of the stuff on a weekend.
I'm definitely going to invest in these again.
What can I tell you about these make up wipes..well they come in a nice girly pink packaging with a lift over strip for ease of use & to keep them fresh. They are specifically formulated for those of us with sensitive skin and are oil and alcohol free, so extra kind to the face. They smell lovely, with a hint of rose but not overpowering at all. I have tried many brands of make up wipes as I find they are a valuable bit of kit to have in your bathroom for those heavy nights when you just haven't the time to do the full works. They are also great to throw in your bag for a night away or a gym session. Why do I prefer these though? Well, firstly I find they are very soft and moisturising and dont leave my skin feeling oily. They are also the only brand Ive found that leave my skin feeling perky rather than that tight feeling. They take my make up off with ease, even eye make up which is always the more stubborn part and my skin always feels lovely and ready for bed after using them. Great product to keep by your bedside table for after a night on the tiles. Also Ive found you can get them on offer quite often in boots so they are pretty good value.
The Garnier Soft Essentials range has been designed specifically by those at Garnier and Dermatologically tested for those of us who suffer from delicate, dry and/or sensitive skin, that by enriching these products with vitamins and rose water sensitive skin is made to feel more comfortable, that after use of these products the skin is left to feel soothed, cooled, refreshed and smooth and oily skin more balanced and toned
Now Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising my face has always been a part of my every day routine, making sure that I remove all traces of my make-up before I go to bed each night, moisturising my face and leaving it feeling soothed, refreshed and smooth.
I personally suffer from quiet sensitive skin and at times in the past have struggled to find skin care products that I have not reacted to in one way or another but since being introduced to and using I can honestly say that the Garnier Soft Essentials range is one of the best ranges which I have found so far and I believe available on the market at present.
Now as part of my daily routine I usually use the Garnier Soft Essentials cleansing Milk to cleanse my face, the Soft Essentials Soothing Toner to tone and the Soft Day Cream to moisturise but there are those occasions when I am either in a rush, Im tired or I simply cannot be bothered with going through my nightly ritual of cleanse, tone and moisture so I cheat and always have a packet of Garnier Soft Essentials Complete Cleansing Wipes in the bathroom to hand.
These facial wipes are designed with the same principle as the soft essentials Cleansing milk and Soothing toner but within one wipe, so instead of individually using the cleansing milk and toner to remove my make-up at night all I need is to use one of these.
These wipes effectively remove make up and every day dirt residue off of the surface of the skin and cleanse deep into the pores removing any unwanted impurities, in one single action these wipes are able to thoroughly remove my eye make up and do so without stinging the eyes which you sometimes get with some facial wipes available on the market and the wipes also remove foundation just as easily without leaving any oily or greasy residue on the skin either, the skins just left feeling soothed,Hydrated, refreshed, nourished and smooth. They also have a lovely delicate floral fragrance from the Rose essence contained within them. Also the great thing I have noticed is that because these wipes thoroughly cleanse and remove dirt residue and impurities my skin has far less imperfections, Ive noticed a dramatic decrease in spots, open pores and black heads which is brilliant.
The complete cleansing wipes come in packs of 25, The packs are White and pink in colour and have a clear re sealable strip to the top where you remove the wipes from, Just remember to reseal the pack after each use or you will find that they dry out very quickly. To the back of the pack are the usual ingredients, Directions for use and contact details for Garnier.
Directions for use are simple:
Unseal the resealable flap
Remove a wipe from the pack
Gently massage across skin, concentrating on the forehead, nose and chin cleansing and toning all in one go
Repeat if necessary with a fresh wipe
Throw away once used.
Now even though I do use these as a cheat to the Soft essentials Cleanser and Toner I still do use the Soft Essentials Replenishing Day Care Cream straight after. It really does help to keep my skin feeling even more nourished and feeling refreshed and smooth.
Now these wipes retail at anything between £2.99 - £4.00 a pack and can be found in any good chemists or supermarkets although I really suggest that you look around when buying them as if you bear in mind these wipes only come in packs of 25 so really dont last that long and to be truthful I consider them a little high priced (thats unless you are lucky enough to find them on offer,( I have found them at superdrugs for £1.99 in the past) but when you struggle to find a product that is suitable to your skin type then I guess paying that bit extra is worth it.
I would really reccomend that any one with delicate, dry, sensitive skin who struggles to find a skin care range that is suitable for their skin give this range from Garnier a go.
A really Great product and even if it it a little higher priced I still give it 5 stars out of 5
Garnier is a leading health and beauty brand who care very much about skincare all over the country.
This particular product is Garnier skin naturals clean and soft complete cleansing wipes. They are used for removing your daily make-up and to tone and hydrate your skin leaving you feeling refreshed and nourished.
How do you know if these are right for your skin?
These facial wipes are designed to cleanse your skin in an easy and effective way they are also extremely gentle with your skin and make you feel replenished. They do this because they replace milk, toner and cotton wool because they are all of these on one wipe, this is to make it convenient to remove your make up.
Why are they so good?
There is a rose scented formula inside the dry ans sensitive type of wipes and they are designed to remove make up in one single action!! They leave the skin feeling ever so soft and give it that extra soothing care if needed. You use these wipes just as you use all the others and make sure you reseal them to prevent them drying out.
How much are they and where do you buy them from?
These face wipes are over 2£, i recently brought them from Tesco for 2.19£, not sure if this is still correct but I feel this is good value for what this product does to your skin. These can be picked up from any drug/health store or even supermarket. They are sold in Superdrug, Boots and Savers.
The reason why I like this product so much is the fact that it leaves you skin feeling so smooth and hydrated. They just really make you feel sort of relaxed and confident. They are useful for dry skin because they put the moisture back into your skin and make it feel calm. They are also not too expensive, obviously not as cheap as Tesco facial wipes that can be purchased for 27p, but these are worthwhile. Especially if you are the older type, these can do the world of wonder for your skin, also young people as well with skin that needs to be protected too! They also do not sting your eyes when removing make up because as many of us ladies agree that is so painful!
These can be quite expensive if you are on a tight budget and you may want to stick to the cheaper brands. This is the only downside really because they suit all skin types and are quick, handy and easy to use!
Well worth purchasing!
When I know I'm going out on a mad night out with my mates I have one major priority. That is to get some make-up removing wipes! I've learnt this because I really have to remove my make-up and trying to do that under the influence with a messy cleanser and toner and getting mixed up with a tube of Immac and stuff hurts like crazy... I don't even want to talk about that one lol! So I always get wipes, lay them on my bed before I go out and I'm sorted.
I do have sensitive skin though and it's very prone to spots and blackheads etc so I always try to buy what I think are going to be decent wipes! Also I use alot of make-up. I like good cosmetics and plenty of them after-all I'm no shrinking violet and love liquid black eyeliners and lip inks etc so I need not only mild make-up removing wipes but heavy duty one's as well!
White and light pink plastic oblong packet with a lift up flap to the middle of the pack and on that I'm told they are Garnier Clean & Soft Complete Cleansing Wipes which remove make-up, tone and hydrate and contain a rose formula with cleansing micro-oils and are for the face and eyes and suitable for dry & sensitive skin and are dermatologically tested. On the back of the packet I'm told a little bit about the product and given instructions on how to use them along with being told there are 25 wipes in the pack, contact details for Garnier are given and ingredients, the recycle symbol and bar-code are all displayed. It's a nice, neat informative pack and I do appreciate the flap being easy to open and reseal after use!
Directions For Use....
Lift the adhesive panel. Remove a wipe and cleanse your face. No need to rinse. Re-seal the adhesive panel straight away to prevent the wipes from drying out.
The wipes are a double sided cloth and one side is meant to cleanse and the other side cleanses and gives soothing care which means a bit of added miniaturisation according to the packet. However I can't tell the difference between the two sides!
It's a large square wipe (covers my face entirely) and it is quite thin though not too thin it appears cheap or anything like that. It's perforated slightly and as I say to me the wipe looks the same both sides and I can't see how the sides are at all different?!
Smell wise well these are highly fragrant and smell very nicely of rose oils. They are slightly damp to the touch but I did wonder when I first went to use one whether my pack had been tampered with before I opened them cos they seemed a little on dry side to me.
However they do work reasonably well. Bear in mind I got a face full of slap when I use wipes and I did find that make up clung to the cloth well however I did need a 5 wipes! Not exactly economical to me but as I say bear in mind I do my make-up like Marylin Manson!
I don't like the texture of these wipes though cos I felt that although I wasn't scrubbing at my face they were and my face felt a little sore and tight after using these and a little over toned. As I say they removed all my make-up and I was pleased with the results and after a few minutes of using these my skin did feel fresher once it lost that initial tightness and my skin did feel very soft to the touch and hydrated from the inside.
They are good for sensitive skin as well. Although they do feel a little greasy when in use I have not felt they've made me have an outbreak of spots or anything.
Probably best for occasional use and for lighter make up wearers than I! Not my favourite wipes these as they are not moist enough for me or strong enough to do a job more simply with less wipes!
Readily available in all good supermarkets and chemists priced about £2.29 a pack.
