Garnier Clean and fresh Invigorating Toner I started buying a few ago I like a range of different toners but this is one of my favourites. Garnier have good skin care products that are great for caring for your skin. My bottle of fresh toner was bought from boots for £3.15, which I think, is a good price any cheaper then you have a bargin for such a good product. Also this can be bought online for under £4.00 Its invigorating to your skin I do a lot of facials with my beauty therapy and I find this is good for sensitive skin types. Combination skin that is oily or dry in areas seems to really benefit. Oily skin types will have the best result, as this toner will soak up excess oil on the face. Only use this product on you face and no place else. Make an effort to cleanse tone and moisturise, this being your toner will make a difference. I like to try different toners and I do believe this one in particular is right up there with the best. With this toner it's easy to apply after cleansing I put mine on with a damp cotton pad and it soaks up any grease or dirt on my face that the cleansing missed. The smell isn't great but you can't smell it once it is on the face. I usually use the garnier moisturiser after cleanse and tone. It has a cap that opens on the top but be careful when you open it! as a lot can come out at once, small dabs on a cotton pad it easier saves more of the product. This toner is cheap to buy and does make your skin nice and toned with lovely tight pures. If you are going to try it cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day to see the best results. Overall I would say this is a very good toner I regularly use that will always help my skin. I give it 5 stars.
As I've mentioned in previous skincare product reviews, I'm trying to cut down on the amount of money I spend on my skincare regime. Up until a couple of months ago, this economising meant that I was skipping the 'toning' part of my skincare regime after my Clinique Clarifying Lotion ran out. It took me weeks to get around to purchasing a new toner but, eventually, after perusing the skincare aisle in Boots yet again, I decided to buy the Garnier Skin Naturals Clean and Fresh Invigorating Toner. This product comes in a transparent green bottle with a white flip-top lid. The graphics on the bottle are very simple - just the Garnier Skin Naturals logo, a white box with green text saying 'Clean and Fresh' and then some information about the product. According to the bottle, this is an invigorating toner which will refine skin tone. It is made with 'pure fruit waters' and is alcohol-free. The final piece of information on the front of the bottle is that it is suitable for normal and combination skin. According to the back of the bottle, the main purpose of toner is to use it daily to refine skin tone and achieve beautiful skin that looks fresh and radiant. You use it by putting a small amount on to a cotton wool pad and then applying it all over your face and neck. Like all the toners I have tried, it is a watery consistency and soaks into the pad quickly - you really don't need to use a lot of it for it to be effective. The product has a fresh, fruity fragrance - the fruit extracts used are grape and apple and I feel that you can smell both of these elements in the product, although this smell does not linger once the product has absorbed into your skin. So, the big question is, does it work? It certainly makes my skin feel cleaner and fresher and ensures that the last traces of make-up are removed. It absorbs effectively into the skin and doesn't leave any oily residue. It also creates a good base for my moisturiser - my skin feels like it has been properly cleansed and, after leaving a couple of minutes to make sure it's dried out completely, it creates a better surface for the moisturiser to be applied to. The claim on the back of the bottle is that it 'removes any remaining impurities and dead skin cells that can cause uneven skin tone, whilst preparing skin for your moisturiser' and I think I would agree that the product does achieve this. For best results, it is recommended to use this product both in the morning and the evening as an essential part of your skincare regime - I'll admit here that I am much better at using it in the morning, my evening skincare regime tends to involve a quick rub with all-in-one cleansing wipes, an additional bit of eye make-up remover to remove any stubborn traces of mascara and then a night cream. In the morning, I do make an effort to use the toner every day. This product costs £3.08 at Superdrug - the Boots website is currently down so I can't check how much I actually paid for it. Like most branded cosmetic products though, it's always worth shopping around as it costs different amounts in different shops. Overall, this is a product that works for me and I will probably buy it again at some point. I might try something else next, just because I love trying new products, but I have been very happy with the performance of the toner. However, this toner is not a solution to skin issues on its own - when I was using it with a moisturiser that didn't suit my skin, it didn't really make much difference, I still ended up with spots and uneven skin tone. Now, with a moisturiser that works for me, it is so much better. Predictably, Garnier recommend you use it with their own Cleansing Milk and Moisturiser, but as long as you've got a Cleanser and Moisturiser that work for you, I'd recommend this as a good addition to a skincare regime.
I bought this when I was looking for a replacement for my last toner which had started to dry my skin out. I wanted something gentler and this seemed to fit the bill. It cost £2.95 in bodycare. It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a flip up lid. This lid does fasten fairly tightly, but the design of it means that there are bits which can catch and pull it open easily in a bag, so not great for travelling with. It doesn't have a dispenser, it's just a simple pour it out jobby, which means it is all too easy to end up with far too much. The toner is just a watery liquid, which you apply to a cotton pad and wipe over your face. It feels fresh and cool when I apply it, and it quickly and easily removes any last traces of dirt and grime from the skin. It smells edible, it's a really nice citrus fruity smell, which makes it much nicer to use than all the medicinal smelling toners out there. After using it my skin feels more toned and my pores tightened, but without that horrible tight and dry feeling that so often happens with toners. My skin just feels clean and fresh and with no sign of any oiliness creeping through. My skin is much better prepared for my moisturiser after using this and it goes on much more smoothly and sinks in nicely. The effects from the toner last all day and my skin stays feeling fresh and degreased the whole day. I find I don't need to use a lot of it at a time, so the bottle also lasts well. I really do like this toner and will definitely buy it again.
