      Very helpful

A neat moisturiser that has helped my skin

I've always been a person to use moisturisers I love them, I get through a lot! I have different ones for face, body, hands ect. Today I'm going to be telling you about one I have been using on my face.

Garnier Skin Naturals - Essentials Hydrating Day Care:

'Not only does it nourish and hydrate for 24hrs, but it also provides your skin with the soothing actives that it needs to stay soothed and soft. The incredibly soft and creamy texture delivers lasting skin hydration that is 100% pleasurable, and nourishment without greasiness.'

      What I Think -

I've been using moisturisers since I can remember. Started back when my Nan used to babysit me and I would be rubbing Beauty Fluid by Olay on her face. I do think it is very important to have a good skin care routine from an early age.

I started using this particular product a couple of months back now. It was on offer in Superdrug at the time, not one I have tried before then, so why not? There were a couple of other choices from that range that were also on offer that day but this one appealed to me the most.

As I was looking for a day cream, I needed it to be for sensitive skin as sometimes my skin can act up to new products. This cream is for dry and sensitive skin so was ticking the boxes I was looking for. Also like most good creams has a UV filter.

Trying this for the first time was after I cleanse my face on a morning. I cleansed it with Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean. Applying the cream to my face, it was lovely and soft like rubbing velvet over my skin. The product smoothes over with ease and soaked in quickly which is great on a morning when needing to apply make up after.

For me it didn't leave my skin weighed down or sticky, but gave me a lovely soft fresh look. This for me is just want I wanted. Normally I would apply a primer before adding my make up but with this I found no need. I didn't have any reaction, and that tight feeling I can get after washing my face was gone.
The moisturising cream is pure white in colour, medium consistency that just melts into your skin and has a love soft hint of rose. So rather sweet and girly, I personally think it is suited to late 20's and above.

This product claims to last 24 hours on your skin but I personally feel it is more suited to the 12 hour mark. Which, again isn't bad as I cleanse my face again on an evening and apply a night time moisturiser.
The packaging is rather feminine in a soft pink, and comes boxed. The product itself is in a plastic tub with a screw off lid so you have to scoop the contents out. The lid is easy to get on and off, even with slippery hands.

      Price and Availability:

This was on offer at the time for £3.99 which is excellent value as it lasted me almost four weeks. I have since repurchased from Superdrug again at normally price of £5.99. However still at that price giving how long it lasts I'm rather happy with it.

I have spotted this in a few places like Boots, Asda and Morrison's so easy to get hold of and all around the same price. I have only seen the 50ml pots.

You can also purchase the matching items like the cleanser, wipes etc.

For me this product did what I wanted it to do, it moisturised my face leaving it soft and refreshed. The feeling didn't last the whole 24 hours but for me that wasn't an issue.

Four out of five stars from me.

      Thanks for reading.
