Advantages: Gets rid of oily skin
Disadvantages: Dries out skin quite a lot and doesn't improve spots
Almost immediately after using this poduct I was actually really disappointed. It was bought on a whim as I was at the end of my tether with my combination skin (oily T-zone-particularly on my nose).
Something about this product was different (namely the white brush which was attached to the top of the bottle). I was drawn to the bold colours (red and turquoise on a white background).
I was a little reluctant to try this product at first as I had never heard of nor seen it before-but also the fact that it was £7.47 from Wilkinsons at the time.
On first use the wash felt really gentle on my skin. Although I used the brush, the bristles were extra soft, and there was no need to scrub harshly. Immediately after the innitial wash, I could see big improvements in my skin. Garnier advertises this product as "Exfo-Brusher Wash. Removes dead skin cells. Visibly reduces shine" On first impressions, I would have totally agreed with this statement.
About an hour after I used the Garnier face wash, my skin was ten times shinier than ever before. I put this down to it being a new face wash, and the fact that things often get worse before you start to see an improvement. I didn't let the shininess deter me from continuing to use it as part of my daily routine.
Gradually over the next week or so, the skin on my nose appeared completely oil free. My pores looked completely different and my blackheads were gradually disappearing.
I find it really easy to remember to use this face wash daily as the bristles feel so smooth and relaxing-I simply incorporate it into my shower routine. In order to use the product you simply have to remove the top, rotate the brusher head 180 degrees, wet the brush and then squeeze a small amount out. I then close the brush and then apply it to my wet face. The brush allows me to reach all those difficult areas, whilst the 170 flexi bristles get to work on my pores.
Exfo-Brusher wash contains 2% purifying salicilic acid "a maximum concentration of an extremely effective anti-bacterial ingredient". It also contains Herbasoothe-a natural acive.
Garnier advertise that this product helps protect against spots-even before they appear. I would disagree with this statement, due to the fact I've actually had numerous spots appear since using this product.
I would purchase this product again as it definately improves surface sebum levels (oil levels)- which is the main reason I purchased it. I've tried a few other products to improve the appearance of shiny skin, but nothing else has worked as well as this. I would definately recommend using a good moisturiser alongside this product as my nose has actually gone from being really oily to getting quite dry. I would not purchase this product however if I was wanting to help stop spots-as it doesn't!!!
Summary: Fantastic used alongside a bit of moisturiser
