I bought these Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Deep cleansing wipes from my local discount store for just £1.40. The wipes measure 20cm by 20cm and are white and feel quite thick and strong and I have never experienced them ripping or tearing when I am using them. I can feel the moisture from the wipes sinking into my skin and my face feels lovely and soft afterwards.
They come in the usual plastic packet with a peel off closure tab which seals back securely and I have not experienced them drying out even when there are only a few left. To use I will start off with my forehead then work down to my neck and then finish off with my eyes which is where I have the most make up. I will sometimes fold the wipe over to maximise the usage and I have never had to use more than one wipe at a time so far and I don't have to use too much pressure either.
I do really like these wipes and find them just as good as any others have bought in the past. They do a fabulous job of removing all traces of my make up and leave my skin feeling refreshed and clean. These wipes are effective and excellent quality and I will definitely buy them again when I need to treat myself as you can tell that they are a good quality wipe as they are so thick and soft to use. They are moisturised and you can feel this moisture sinking into your skin which always feels soft and smooth after using them. I find that they remove every trace of my make up including waterproof mascara, and I never have panda eyes in the morning when I have used these wipes.
Garnier is a beauty brand offering hair, body and skin care products.
Garnier offer various face wipes. One pack is the Pure Deep Cleansing Wipes. These wipes are designed to combat imperfections. They combine a cleansing pad, toner and a mattifying agent into one easy to use wipe. The wipes carry a few key claims :
*antibacterial - to help control breakouts of spots
*cleanse - remove impurities from the skin leaving it fresh and clean. Also to remove make up
*mattifying - agents to control shine
The wipes should leave the skin clean, pores tightened and complexion even.
The wipes are slotted into a plastic pack with a sticky tab top. The pack can be recycled and should be used up within 3months of first opening. The pack can be identified by a blue and white colour scheme and is packed full of information and product claims.
There are 25 wipes per pack. They are available from Boots priced at £2.95.
I occasionally use facial wipes as a quick way of freshening up my face when I am having a lazy day or night. I normally use a cleanser, toner and moisturiser. I have tried various branded wipes at various prices. I purchased these Garnier Pure Deep Cleansing Wipes in a Boots clearance for 70p a few months ago. I have used half a packet and the rest will be going in the bin.
The packet is fine and the sticky tab does stick allowing the wipes to remain moist. These wipes are mainly aimed at those with combination skin. I have dry skin on parts of my face and often an oily t-zone. The wipes are easily removed from the pack and each wipe is white. They aren't as big as other wipes and sort of fold into themselves. They aren't the thickest of wipes but fairly strong.
*~*So Why Don't I Like Them?*~*
On opening the pack each time, the smell is awful. The wipes have a strong, medicinal smell with an almost tea tree like smell mixed with alcohol. It isn't please and reeks to high heavens! Even after I dispose of the wipe in the bin, I can still smell the aroma lingering and I simply can't stand it. It makes me feel a little ill. My skin isn't keen on these wipes. They are moist enough to dampen my skin and attempt to cleanse it.
They remove surface make up but I wouldn't put them near by eyes. That smell makes my eyes sting a little and despite the wipes being fairly soft, the formula enriched into them is a bit too much and makes my face tingle. Perhaps this is down to the anti bacterial aspect of them. I don't suffer with breakouts of spots but do have imperfections. I think any spot would think twice about popping up as the formula would knock them dead!
My skin tingles after using these wipes and feels a little uncomfortable for a short while. My skin feels very cool and rather sticky to the touch like I've been blasted with tea tree water but my skin doesn't feel properly cleansed. The shine is reduced though around my nose which is a benefit. Personally I feel these wipes done my face more harm than good and were far too harsh for my sensitive skin.
Absolutely not for me. Someone with more troublesome skin may get use from the antibacterial aspect but for basic cleansing and toning, these are rubbish. The fomula is too rich and the scent is disgusting. In the bin they go!
