“What would you like for your birthday Geri” my son asked? Now as you know that is not my name and bearing no striking resemblance to the former spice girl why do you ask have I such a nickname. Geri is short for geriatric. Don’t you just love children? I had a good look in the mirror and even after I had cleaned it the fine lines were still there, perhaps I could do with some face cream. Polyfilla or cement the suggestions came thick and fast, time for a visit to the chemist. I was spoilt for choice rows and rows of facial treatments however as my son was buying I opted for the one on special offer. Garnier Synergie Wrinkle Lift A that should do the trick and shoved reluctant son towards the checkout. He duly parted with £5.99 and thrust the bag into my hand like it was infected. I have to be careful what I use on my skin, as I am allergic to many facial products so I was glad to see that this was hypo-allergenic and according to the box would “deliver Vitamin A and Gatuline to my skin”. It also boasts that it will stimulate the natural process of cell renewal. The jar itself is easy to hold and more to the point an easy removable lid essential for us “geris”. The cream is white with a light fragrance and it seemed hard to believe this little jar of cream was going to smooth out my fine lines and according to them this was all going to happen within fourteen days. After a quick cleanses I was ready to apply the miracle cream. I did as I was told and massaged it gently in a circular motion working from the inside out and on an upward direction on my neck. It is easy to apply and absorbed reasonably quickly it did say there would be no greasy after feel. Maybe I was over enthusiastic but I have to say I remained tacky and clammy feeling for a little while. Perhaps if you applied foundation on top you would be unaware of this. I have been using the
product for some time now so the big question is does it work? Well yes I think so my skin does feel softer and more supple and as for these fine lines. What fine lines.? Maybe that is being over optimistic but I think there has been a slight improvement. Anyway I will continue to use it and I am sure I will get younger by the day. Sons reaction when I asked how I looked was “when are you going to start using the cream” I think he was joking.!!!!!
