What it is
After reading terrible things about parabens and other chemicals which are added to most beauty product, my husband brought me some products from the Good Things range. I had not heard of them before but they offer quite a wide range of face and body products. The Good Things range states that the products are free from parabens, mineral oils, sodium laureth sulphate and animal ingredients and contain 'just good things'. There isn't a list of ingredients on the bottle so I have copied the list at the bottom from the website.
This is a review for the Miracle Mattifier Moisturiser. The moisturiser contains extracts from blackcurrant and goji berries, so called 'superfruits' due to all the goodness packed into them. The blackcurrant extract is meant to absorb and excess oil to leave skin smooth, matte and less prone to breakouts.
The moisturiser comes in a 100ml tube which stands on its flat lid at the base. The lid is a flip top one which is easy to open and close. This moisturiser is white in colour, although it does state on the back that the colour may vary due to the natural ingredients in the product. It is fairly thick and creamy in consistency and is easy to apply. The directions are to apply to clean skin by 'smoothing gently into your face and neck using light upward movements'.
Do I like it?
Yes! It is easy to apply and absorbs quickly leaving my skin feeling refreshed, hydrated and really smooth. It smells delightful too. It's not too strong but the is a definitely a lingering fruity aroma after use. I also like the fact that it is free from parabens (although in a few years time I am sure they will find something in the list of ingredients below which is bad for us instead!) and that it is packed full with goodness from the blackcurrants and goji berries. I have really noticed a difference in my skin already. It not only feels nicer but I am sure it looks better already with a bit of a healthy glow. It takes the shine away from my T zone.
Where can I buy?
Available in most Boots (including ROI), Sainsbury's and Superdrug stores for £7.99.
Would I recommend?
I would definitely recommend and will be purchasing some other products from the Good Things range. Five stars from me for the long lasting soft feeling, healthy glow and the lovely smell.
Thanks for reading
Rachel
