      Advantages

      Disadvantages

In early 2000, I purchased two Helena Harnik products: the nightcream and the double-action age-defying serum, the latter I used three times a week at night under the night-cream. The cream was a simple cream that was absorbed well, with no strong fragrance. Up until that point I had struggled for nigh on 20 years to find skincare products that suited my very sensitive and spot-prone skin. Within 6 weeks of using these two porducts, people were actually asking me, what I was using as the results were astonishing. Gone were the spots and for the first time since my early teenage years I was proud to show off a beautiful glowing healthy skin. I used it religiously for 2 years and then, much to my disbelief and shock, I found out that the line Helena Harnik was discontinued!! Within two months of not using it, I am again prone to spots.... I don't know, if writing down my opinion for products that have been taken off the market will be of any use, but if they can be re-launched I will be a very happy person! I first discovered this cream in TJ Hughes of all places. I do like trying out different moisturisers and cleansers, I think your skin can get too used to a product and it likes a change every now and then. Well that's what I tell my husband when I've yet again bought another lotion and potion. I was attracted to this cream by it's packaging. It looked very expensive which at first almost put me off. That's only because I thought it would be dear. It comes packaged in a plastic carton, which houses a rather lovely looking jar. The jar is rather futuristic looking, it is square and see through looking with a silver lid. It is made by a german lady called Helena Harnik. The size is 40ml and rrp is normally £19.99, I paid wait for it....£3.99. Let me tell you how luxurious this cream feels. At the moment I'm using the Time Fighting Nightcream, it is a Overnight recovery Complex. It is a white cream and sinks into your skin straightaway. It feels velvety to the touch afterwards. There is absolutely no grease or oil left on your skin, I've never known such luxury. You can tell it's an expensive cream just by the jar, the thickness of the cream. The consistency is just right, normally nightcreams are thicker anyway. I use it before I go to bed and my face feels wonderful , no nasty comments please lol. I have very sensitive skin, but this cream didn't irritate at all, it was very pleasant. It reminded me of the smell of Nivea with a hint of Lemon. I have also tried a day cream from this range and also a tinted foundation. I will be stocking up on this one, it is the first time I have heard of it. But if you are passing TJ Hughes, pop in and treat yourself, remember you are worth it.
