I had heard of the Helena Rubenstein brand but not really tried much from the range although I hear the make up is very good.
Trying out a new brand
I had a heap of sample tubes land from the brand so couldn't wait to try them out. The Collagenist moisturiser sounded really good and promised to give replumping and filling care with anti wrinkle and firming properties. It has pro-xfill in it which I am not entirely sure about but sounds like a bit of a facial polyfiller!
The cream is really thick and luxurious and felt great when I applied it to my skin. It massaged in well and within minutes I was able to go on and apply my make up which is important in a day cream for me, the amount of time I have to spend waiting is limited so it has to work hard, and fast!
This kept my skin nicely moisturised all day and I felt just right in terms of my skin being matte and not shiny. Even though this is technically a day cream, I felt this was thick enough to also use as a night cream so it's good to have a versatile cream to do either task.
For 50ml a pot of this cream can be bought online (Lavish Choices) for £61.95.
I liked this cream but I'm not sure whether i'd want to part with sixty pounds for a pot of it. The results were long lasting and it went on lovely. I did think this improved the appearance of my skin and gave it a firmer and more youthful look.
