“ Brand: Japonesque / Type: Make Up Remover / Suitable for: Eye „
This is a review of Japonesque Beauty Fixation Makeup Removers which I recieved in a beauty box recently. I have reviewed the nail varnish removers and lip conditioners from the same makers if you find this product to be of interest.
What are they?
The make up removers are an ingenious design of remover which is contained in a cotton bud. To use them you snap off one end (which is marked) and let the product flood the tip of the other end before using.
You get 24 applicators in a pack which do last a surprisingly long amount of time. The applicators come packaged in a small plastic box which clicks shut and doesn't take up a lot of room.
As these are quite small I would not use them to try and remove a full face of make up. I do, however find them great for removing eye make up, especially the smudgy bit I am always left with under my eyes first thing in the morning despite a full facial cleanse the night before. Each bud removes make up very well and doesn't sting the eye area at all.
These are great for on the go or travel. I have been known when in a rush to slip a couple of these in my pocket and use them in the car (but not whilst driving!). It doesn't take the place of make up remover or facial wipes but they are compact and convenient. I just have to be careful not to mix up my three products from this brand as they are similar packaging (but different colours) I wouldn't want to mistake the nail varnish remover for make up remover!
These used to be available at Superdrug but sadly are no longer sold there. You can get them online on Amazon but the best price is from Latest In Beauty (a sample service) where you can buy them for £1.
I think the idea of keeping a product hygenically sealed in a cotton bud is an ingenious idea and great for transport and travel or just a convenient way of touching up eye make up. It is limited in how much it will remove as you can only do the work of one cotton bud. I would definitely buy some more of these once my pack run out as they are something I turn to on a regular basis and it is far easier to use than soaking a cotton bud with remover (lazy, I know!). Highly recommended if you can find them to buy.
