Advantages: Effective, nice design, glass pot, soft skin, cheap.

Disadvantages: I should have gone to poundland! price varies.

I've always heavily associated Johnson's with baby products and I think that is as a result of how good their baby products are. I have over the years tried a few of their adult products and found them to be very good. I particularly like their face wipes but had yet to try one of their face creams.

A few weeks ago I popped into my local Wilkinsons to buy another tube of my favourite face cream - Garnier Pure A (previously reviewed). They didn't have it in stock so I had a quick browse and decided that this was the cheapest cream from a brand I knew I already liked.

I was only looking for a standard moisturiser as I have no real issues with my skin, I just like something nourishing that leaves my skin feeling and looking soft. I had no great expectations for this moisturiser but I thought I'd give it a go and wouldn't have wasted a huge amount of money if it wasn't great.

The cream comes in a clear glass pot and has a pink plastic twist on lid. I have to say I love the design of this pot, especially considering the price of it which is low compared to others available. Firstly I think glass gives the moisturiser a real feeling of quality because of the heavy feel and sleek look. I also love the fact that you can see what is inside the pot and also have no issue getting every last scrap out of it. The pot is also really handy to hold onto to refill once it does become empty, I often like to use containers like this to keep remnants of old foundations fresh and usable. My favourite quality by far though is that the glass manages to keep the moisturiser lovely and cool so it feels really refreshing when applied to skin. It looks great, it is functional - what more could you want?

The cream is white in colour and has a lovely fresh but not overly perfumed smell to it, almost like a light talcum powder scent. It is thick enough that it wouldn't pour or run out of the jar but still has a very lightweight feel to it and isn't overly thick to touch. The cream rubs into your skin really nicely, has a soft and silky texture to it which feels great and feels instantly hydrating. What I am most impressed about is how quickly your skin feels noticeably softer and refined. Within 5 minutes my skin always feels better and it feels like make up recovery after a day of skin abuse.

I have to say I couldn't be more impressed by this moisturiser. It offers brilliant quality at a teeny tiny price. I bought mine from Wilkinsons and it was £1.98 for 50ml which is ridiculously cheap compared to others on the market. I've had a look on Boots and it is £4.00 from them and probably a bit cheaper from supermarkets. Having read other reviews of this product it seems that you can pick it up in poundland which is handy to know if you have one near you. I'll most certainly be buying this again as it really does do the trick and doesn't pull too tightly on the purse strings.

A fab budget moisturiser that is as good as any expensive one I've ever used.

Summary: A brilliantly effective and cheaper moisturiser.
