==Price and Availability== When it comes to face wipes I don't consider myself to be that fussy and I tend to just pick up whatever's on offer. A few months ago I bought a pack of Johnsons 3 in 1 Facial Cleansing Wipes at Tesco. They cost about £3.50 a pack, which would usually be too much for me but as they were buy one get one free I decided to give them ago as I knew being Johnsons they would probably be good quality. I've since seen these wipes in Superdrug and Boots, they sell for a similar price but Boots did have them included in a 3 for 2 offer which would mean they'd work out about £2 a pack which in my opinion isn't too bad. ==Johnsons 3 in 1 Facial Cleansing Wipes== When choosing these wipes I opted for the moisturising version, these come in a baby blue packet clearly showing the Johnsons branding. There's a sticker covering the hole on the top of the packet to keep the wipes moist, I would of expected as this product is slightly more expensive that they would have had one of the plastic fastenings. There are 25 wipes in the pack, with the 3 in 1 aspect being that the wipes cleanse tone and remove make-up including waterproof mascara. The wipes are also said to provide lasting moisture and are dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive and dry skin types. ==My Experience== The wipes have a lovely light scent to it, it isn't a particular scent it's just very subtle and pleasant. I was impressed by how thick these wipes are and they do feel very nice quality, they're really soft and feel lovely, even when removing make up. The wipes are really moist, but at the same time don't feel wet. It's also worth mentioning that although the wipes just have the sticker to keep them moist they don't seem to dry out. A pack usually lasts me between two and three weeks and in this time the wipes were as moist as when I opened them, even though the sticker does lose its stick a bit. When it comes to removing make up these wipes really justify their slightly higher than normal price tag. As with most make up wipes, they easily cut through foundation, when it comes to waterproof mascara these wipes don't seem to have any problems. It does take a little bit of rubbing to remove every trace but because the wipes are so soft they feel really gentle on the skin, and I'm quite sensitive around my eyes. ==Overall== These wipes are worth paying a little extra for, although I do think I will only be buying them if I see them on offer as £3.50 a pack is a bit steep especially as I usually use a couple of wipes a day. If I wore mascara every day I would probably be more inclined to pay more for the wipes long term as they are brilliant at removing even waterproof mascara, they're really soft and moist so they just seem to cut through any make up really easily.
I use different sorts of facial wipes for removing both make up from my face and from around the eye area. My preferred wipe is probably Johnson's but they aren't as cheap as the shop's own brand. At the moment, these wipes are for sale in Tesco's for £3.05 a pack (of 25) but buy one and you get another pack free. This is pretty good value for money as I personally feel they are a decent wipe and kind and gentle to the skin at the same time. They come in a plastic pouch with a lift off top which can be resealed. It's always a good idea to check the seal is back in place after removing a wipe as if it hasn't been pressed back down firmly the wipes all dry out. These wipes are meant to be a three in one formula whereby they remove make up, moisturise the skin and tone it at the same time. To be honest, I can't say whether or not I think they tone my skin but they are really excellent at removing all traces of my make up - even waterproof mascara comes off really easily with these. I find they are very soft gentle on my skin and cause no stinging or irritation though I have a friend and colleague who both swear these wipes really hurt their eye area and they are unable to use them because of this. They're strong and quite resilient to tearing. Two wipes is about all I need to remove all traces of make up eyes and face. They have a pleasant fresh aroma to them and my skin feels gently yet deeply cleansed after every wipe. I only buy these when they are on offer due to them being more expensive than the Tesco's own brand I use. They are a reputable brand and I love their gentle yet effective ability to remove all traces of make up, dirt and grime. Highly recommended. Also posted on Ciao! as basketofuttons.
Facial wipes are a must for me, as I tend to wear a full coverage foundation with blush, concealer, mascara, lipstick and eyeliner atleast four days a week. This means that a regular face wash product won't remove all traces of make up. Before I use the face wash I do a full sweep with wipes. This is why I find 3 in 1 wipes so convenient. I normally use 1-2 wipes for the face including waterproof mascara. So as you can imagine the wipes only last me two and a half weeks! But Boots often have 3 for 2 offers or I use my advantage points, which lessens the strain on the purse. The wipes are £3.49 normally. When Boots have their offers on, you can get 3 for £5! I use the pink packet which is called refreshing facial wipes for normal skin. My skin can vary between oily and dry, depending on what my skin feels like doing! So for me, sticking with normal skin wipes is the in between option. You get 25 wipes in a packet which is the norm. These are 3 in 1 wipes that cleanse, tone and remove makeup, including waterproof mascara. They also promise to be caring on the skin. They contain minerals to restore freshness and vitamin c. This product is also suitable for sensitive skin. The wipes have the perfect balance of moisture, not too wet or drier (like some of the cheaper brands.) They are really soft on thd skin and makes cleaning the skin less like a chore. They smell pleasant, but not perfumed. The wipes are brilliant in removing makeup, even waterproof mascara. I use a lot of mascara and it comes off completely, obviously with a lot of rubbing. The wipes also promise to tone and I have noticed that my skin looks a lot healthier from using these wipes. I also suffer from less breakouts as the wipes remove all traces of makeup. One wipe usually removes all makeup, but I sometimes need to use two, to get easy to miss areas like the jaw line or the sides of my nose. After cleansing my skin feels really clean, without any dryness or irritation. I was pleasantly surprised by how effective these wipes were, as I assumed johnsons products were quite gentle and may not work as well. In my opinion this is a fantastic product and one of the best wipes I have used. I think the price tag is expensive for me, as I get through a lot of wipes. I have been known to plump for cheaper wipes when they are not on offer (and my skin suffers for it.)
Face wipes are not something I use often, yet at times they are a godsend so I always make sure there is a pack or two in the house. I usually just buy the Wilkinson's own brand wipes which are a bargain at 2 packs for £1 but a while ago there was a 3 for 2 offer on skincare at Boots, and as I already had two products, I picked these Johnson's wipes as my third item. As I say, I don't use wipes all the time, but when I have come home late and can't be bothered to take my make-up off the proper way, or even when I am messing about trying different make-up on wipes are a great solution. There are 3 different types of these wipes depending on what your skin type is. The green pack is for combination skin, the pink pack for normal skin and the blue pack which I have is for dry and sensitive skin. Obviously as I've only used the blue ones those are the ones that I will be referring to throughout the review. The wipes claim to be 3 in 1 and the pack says they will gently cleanse the skin, tone, and remove make-up - even waterproof mascara. This is something that especially appealed to me as I do wear waterproof mascara and find some eye make up removers struggle to take it off, let alone wipes! The packaging is a baby blue plastic packet, and they do have the sticker over the top rather than the plastic opening that some brands now have. I'm down to the last few wipes of the pack now and the label has lost a little bit of its stickiness round the edges however the middle part of the label still sticks well and the wipes have not become dried out. The first thing I noticed when it came to using the wipes was how thick they were in comparison to the cheap Wilkinson's ones I usually use. They're quite a thick white cloth and quite a good size too. They have a very subtle smell to them, I can't really put my finger on what it is, but it's pleasant and inoffensive. The wipes are quite moist and they feel quite cooling against the skin. They're really soft too and I never feel like I'm dragging at my skin with them. I find these wipes to be very effective at removing make-up. They get rid of all foundation and eye shadow brilliantly and even take off my waterproof mascara which I have to say was a bit of a surprise as I didn't think they would. I only ever need to use one wipe to get rid of everything too, so although the initial cost is more than I would normally pay they do work out to be fairly economical. After using these my skin feels soft and isn't dried out at all. The only claim I would have to doubt about these wipes is whether or not they tone. I don't particularly think that my skin looks toned after using them, but I suppose in fairness it's quite hard to tell. A pack of 25 wipes costs £2.95 from Boots. I think this is a little pricey for wipes, but they are good quality and I would be prepared to buy them again but only if I saw them on special offer. On the whole I found these to be a good quality product that were very effective at what they do. If you don't mind paying that little bit extra for wipes then I'd certainly recommend them.
I'm slightly lazy when it comes to my skincare regime and as a result have tried out various different brands of wipes due to their ease and convenience. Once upon a time I cleansed, toned and moisterised individually, but these days I prefer products which do everything in one go. These Johnson's ones are amongst my favourites because they do as they say and cleanse, tone and moisterise, hence the 3 in 1 claim. I buy themas part of my grocery shop at my local supermarket and they cost around £2.50 for a chunky pack of 25 wipes. I get the pink packet which is aimed at normal skin, but the wipes come in varieties for oily/comination and dry skin too so there is something for everyone. The wipes are tightly compressed in the packet and I think this helps them stay moist as they rarely dry out unlike some other brands I have tried. They are not too wet though and are just perfect for removing make-up including mascara, even waterproof varieties. They feel lovely and soft against the skin and are not harsh, scratchy or abrasive in any way. I have never had any irritation or discomfort when using these and always get left with lovely clean, bright looking skin. I use them twice daily or sometimes just once if I'm feeling particulalrly lazy! All in all I have no complaints about this product and feel it is good value for money and very effective. Johnson's are a well known brand for quality and these wipes are proof of that.
This is a great product for those rough, but good nights out, you know that feeling when you come home, whack those high heels off, crash on the bed but can't be bothered to take your make-up off, the solution are these three in one facial wipes. I've used this product a few times, but as I mentioned in the first paragraph, yes it was after some good nights out! The aim of the product is to remove make-up, cleanse skin and unblock those nasty pours that could turn into horrible zits. Not nice at all. It is amazing how my make-up comes off in one wipe and my skin feels fresher and clean, even when I wake up the next morning my skin felt amazing! So there's no worry about your face covered in a mess again! bonus! This product can be quite expensive approx 2.50, sometimes three pounds for a pack of 25 wipes in total, however if you check places like Savers they sell it cheaper and its only about two pounds, so you save a little more cash for more beauty products that way! Places like Boots, Superdrug, and supermarkets it will cost you a bit more. There are three different types of wipes which are designed for various skin tones. The pink one is designed for normal skin, the blue one is designed for sensitive skin and the green one is designed for oily skin. So whatever your skin type is you'll skin will feel better with these. Overall, this is a great product to use and makes you feel better in your skin, on the other hand I will take these to university cause I have a feeling that there are going to be some good nights out and get that feeling of 'can't be bothered taking make-up off!' five out of five stars
An essential item for a daily skincare routine should include facial cleansing wipes. I always have problems finding wipes which are good for my skin and which do a decent job. Johnson's 3 in 1 facial cleansing wipes tick all the right boxes! Most people know Johnson's for their baby range of products. The company's products are associated with soft skin and babies bottoms! The range for adults has the same effect and leaves your skin feeling as soft as a baby's bottom! The face wipes are available for 3 different skin types- Normal, Dry and sensitive, and Combination skin. I have only tried the Normal wipes, so this review is focussing on that one. There are 3 main functions of the facial wipes. + Cleanses + Tones + Removes make-up Cleanses: The wipes gently cleanse the skin, and the most important part to cleansing is finding a suitable cleanser (wipes) to match your skin condition. Johnson's 3 in 1 wipes allow this to be possible by having the 3 different skin types wipes! I sometimes have lots of blackheads and oily skin but these wipes worked wonders, cleaning my face and living it feeling fresh and soft. Tones: The wipes tone the skin, making the face feel quite firm and tight. I like this feeling as it shows the wipes really are working and firming the skin. This leaves a great base to apply moisturiser. Removes make up: 'even waterproof mascara'... although most make-up removers claim to have the magical powers to do this, Johnson's wipes actually do possess these magical powers. Great for the end of the day when taking the make up off and going to bed feeling fresh faces. Johnson's facial wipes are available from supermarkets or pharmacy retailers such as Boots, and retail at a price ranging from £2-3 depending on whether there are special offers. The packet contains 25 wipes, so 2 packets can easily last a month, which gives them value for money. The great thing about these wipes is that you don't need to buy individual cleanser, toner and make-up remover. Instead you have this all-in-one wipe which you can use first thing in the morning, before bed, or after a crazy night out! A simple way to keep your skin feeling fresh and an added bonus is that it smells great too. I completely recommend this as part of a daily skincare routine and an essential for the summer and for holidays!!
Every night for a couple of years i have used a Johnsons 3 in 1 facial wipe to remove my make up and to freshen my skin up a little. Even though my skin is quite sensitive I use the pink ones that are for normal skin and find they leave my skin really soft and in no way irritated. There are 25 wipes in a packet that costs around £2.50-£3, depending on where you buy them from, which i think is a really good price. Also i often find that they are on offer in supermarkets and Boots, something like 2 packets for £4 or something similar, which is great as it saves you that little bit of money. I am quite lazy when it comes to skin care so i think its great to have a wipe that cleanses, tones and removes make up all in one. The wipes are quite moist leaving your face a bit damp after but that dries pretty quick leaving you with really soft skin. The smell of the wipes is lovely and they are sensitive enough to use on the eyes, so are great for removing mascara. I find that even if i have been on a night out and put a bit more make up on than usual it comes off very easily and you only need to use one wipe. I find that the wipes stay quite moist even though the packaging does not always stick back down properly.
My husband bought me these a few weeks ago and I was quite impressed with them. I had the blue ones, which I think are just regular not the ones for sensitive skin. I don't wear a huge amount of make up but I use wipes to take off whatever is left by the end of the day, and just to freshen up my face a bit. These wipes were very moist, making it easy to remove make-up and make your face feel fresh. They also have a lovely soft texture, unlike some other wipes I have tried, and they felt very smooth on my face. The scent of these wipes was extremely pleasant they smelled a bit like Johnson's baby lotion, but a tiny bit sweeter. The only negative I found about these wipes is the packet, the sticky bit that re-seals the packet after you have used a wipe, stopped sticking after about a week, and as there are 25 wipe in a pack it took me more than a week to use them all, so they got a bit drier as time went on, but as they were so moist to begin with I didn't find this a major problem, just a small irritation. I have normal to oily skin and these wipes didn't cause any break outs or cause me any problems. All in all a good face wipe, but still not as good as boots cucumber wipes.
Johnson's face wipes are definitely one of my favourite beauty products out there. I am terrible for piling on the make up on a night out and need a good quality product to ensure it all comes off before I go to bed! I also have very sensitive skin and wipes I have used previously have caused spot breakouts and my skin to dry out. These wipes are an absolute life saver, I use the pink ones after mistakenly thinking they were for sensitive skin but are for normal, however they are just as kind to my skin as any sensitive product so have decided to stick with them. They clean very well and I only have to use one for my entire face even after having all of my make up piled on. After you have used it your face feels a bit wet but dries very quickly leaving your skin very smooth, it feels like you've just cleansed tones and moisturised! They smell absolutely lovely and leave you feeling so fresh! There are also normally buy one get one free offers on these in supermarkets and places like Boots and Superdrug, so you're not breaking the bank either. The only slight moan I would have is the the packaging isn't brilliant, the part that sticks down doesn't stay very sticky for long, so you have to be careful when recovering them so they don't dry out. Other than that these wipes are brilliant, an absolute must for any make up fanatic like me!
I am not very good at remembering to cleanse, tone and moisturise and so it feels good to be able to have a quick wipe of my face with one of Johnson's 3 in 1 wipes, and know that my skin has been cleansed and toned in minutes. I have very sensitive skin and also wear contact lenses but find that these wipes are wonderful on my sensitive skin and around my eye area and leave me with a feeling of a very good clean. They remove waterproof mascara fantastically, although I find it harder to remove waterproof eyeliner, although this may be down to me being worried about my contact lenses. The pack contains 30 wipes and they are not cheap at around £3-4 a packet, so I make sure that I buy these when they are on a special offer. They can sometimes leave my skin feeling a little wet and greasy, and so I make sure I pat down with a towel afterwards. I use these every day but do not rely on them for cleaning my face constantly - sometimes a little soap and water is just what is needed!
Johnsons claim that these 3 in 1 wipes gently cleanse, tone and remove makeup! These are by far my favourite make up wipes. I'm usually too lazy to bother taking my makeup off at night, but these make it quick and easy to do. They leave your skin feeling clean and fresh, without that tight feeling that some wipes can create. They are really effective at removing all your makeup, including waterproof mascara, without too much effort!! The seal is the usual sticky peel-back and reseal one, and is very effective as it actually resticks and so the wipes stay wet, and do not dry out!! Contains 25 wipes, so will last you a few weeks if you use one a day! The wipes themselves are pretty strong, and one will take off all your makeup. They stay together, and do not fall apart, even if you use them on your hands etc. I use the green pack, which are for combination skin - claim to remove oil to help balance combination skin. I can't say I notice any difference in my skin when using these in terms of oil.
Im really terrible at taking off my make up before bed but iv eventually got into a routine of doing it and started using baby wipes. I felt like i had to drag my skin too much to get it feeling really clean so i snapped these up when i saw them at half price (they are usually about £2.50ish). Being from Johnson and Johnson i expected a lot especially after seeing the original price of them and i am delighted with them! They come in three different colour packets for different skin types. Green is oil balancing, blue is dry/sensetive and pink is normal. There is about 25 in the pack and its a small enough pack to be able to fit in your bag. They smell a bit weird, not disgusting or anything, just a bit strange! I dont know if its cucumber or aloe vera or something! They have a lot of product on each face wipe so your able to get all of your face done without the cloth drying out first. They are brilliant for getting off eye make up and even remove waterproof mascara. They leave your face feeling really fresh and clean afterwards and unlike some face wipes iv used, theres no need to rinse your face with water after your finished to get rid of a greasy residue on your face. They dont dry out your skin either, they just leave your skin baby soft!
I do try to care about my appearance, and use expensive makeup and shampoo in order to make myself look good, yet for some reason I still tend to skimp on other aspects and beauty products. I very rarely use cleanser on my face or take off makeup with a proper makeup remover, and usually prefer to kill two birds with one stone and use a facial cleansing wipe instead. The fact that one of my best friends works very hard for her appearance and looks great yet uses face wipes too let me justify this slightly, especially if I ignore the fact that she uses high quality cleanser as well. Anyway, I've been using face wipes to remove makeup for years, and despite loving No7's 6-in-1 wipes I am loathe to spending £6.50 on a pack, so am always looking out for cheaper alternatives. I saw my aforementioned friend using Johnson's 3 in 1 wipes on her face, so decided to give them a go to see if they are as good as my wipe of choice. I bought a pack of 25 wipes for normal skin from Boots for £2.99, which I thought was fairly reasonable a price for a branded item as even Boots' own wipes aren't ridiculously cheap. You can buy Johnson's wipes for dry/sensitive skin or for combination skin, but it is the normal variety that I am reviewing today. The different varieties come in different coloured packets (mine is pink) so it's easy to tell that you're getting the right ones even if you're in a rush. The pack is basically the same as with all wipes: fairly small and rectangular, made of soft plastic with a flap on the front from which you take out the wipes. The packaging is fairly minimalist yet fine, though I prefer No7's hard plastic seal to Johnson's soft one, but I suppose that doesn't really matter. Each wipe is easy to remove from the packet and even easier to use: in case you don't know, you rub the wipe over your face to remove any traces of makeup and dirt, and you can use both sides of the wipe if need be. I find that one wipe is enough to get all of my foundation and eye makeup off, though if you wear heavy eye makeup and thick foundation you may find that you'll need to use two, but you'd still probably manage with just the one. Since these wipes are meant to cleanse and tone your skin as well as remove makeup (hence the 3 in 1 claim), your skin should feel as nice afterward using one and applying moisturiser as if you'd followed the recommended cleanse tone and moisturise routine, or at least that's what I'd imagine. I have to say that although my face feels fine after using these wipes, I don't feel that it's anywhere near as good for my skin as washing it properly, and my skin doesn't feel as good afterwards as when I use No7's wipes. Still it does the job of removing my makeup and cleaning my face, and if I were overly bothered about my skin I'd be using a proper cleanser anyway, so I can't really complain. In conclusion these wipes are good at their job of removing makeup and grime, and they're great to use at the end of a long day when you can't be bothered doing anything else to your skin. I still prefer No7's wipes in terms of quality, but definitely prefer Johnson's in terms of price, so my financial situation will dictate which ones I buy next time I need new wipes. I have normal/combination skin and the wipes for normal skin work well for me and don't leave my skin feeling dry or greasy, but if you have different skin then you may find one of the other two varieties better suited to you. I would recommend these wipes to you all, but if you're happy to spend a bit extra on skincare then I'd suggest buying No7's face wipes instead.
Ideally I'd spend hours every morning and night, gently cleansing, toning and moisturising - and I do, do this quite frequently. But there are always those days when you don't seem to have the time and inclination to do so; either rolling out of bed way too late or when you crawl in after a night out. And face wipes are just made for those moments, and for years I've tried nearly every brand on the market - usually whichever one was on offer. And whilst I'm still tempted by the occasional offer I do tend to stick to 'Johnson's 3 in 1 facial cleansing wipes.' Johnson's are a well established and trusted brand and in my mind they stand for both quality and value for money. These 3 in 1 facial cleansing wipes claim not only to cleanse, but also to tone, and remove make-up, even waterproof mascara. They come in a few different ways to suit different skin types: there's one for those with normal skin (pink packet), dry and sensitive skin (blue packet) and combination skin (in a green packet). They also make some called 3 in 1 Dreamy Skin, which are lightly scented with moonflower, designed to help you relax and drift off into a relaxed and calm sleep after removing your make-up before bed. The wipes come in a plastic rectangular packet with a resealable lid to ensure the wipes stay fresh. The packaging is pretty and feminine without being too over the top; just a simple pale colour background with a picture of a woman's relaxed face on the front. Each packet contains approximately 25 wipes and each wipe is 190 x 185mm (according to the packaging). I find that the wipes are definitely big enough and contain enough moisture and ingredients that only one needs to be used at a time. Being a poor student I often tear mine in two, and pop the other half back in the packet, and I find that it is still plenty to remove my everyday make-up! I mainly use them for removing make-up and have never struggled; admittedly I don't wear that many layers of it though. However, I do wear waterproof mascara and I can verify that they remove it perfectly. In the past I have been involved in school and theatre group productions where they love to cake on tonnes of that stubborn stage make-up, and Johnson's wipes are perfect for removing it - though admittedly for this you will need about two wipes, as opposed to my usual half a wipe. They are most definitely not harsh on skin, but instead soft and very gentle. The texture of each wipe is completely smooth, which I personally prefer over the brands that make their wipes all textured and bumpy. They are very gentle on the eyes, whilst still being effective at removing mascara and black eye-liner; they do not tear out eyelashes or sting in any way. After using them my skin looks and feels fresh which would indicate they cleanse and tone well too. I also love that whilst they contain moisture and are soft, they aren't too wet and only leave my skin damp for about 5 seconds. Price varies depending where you shop but they usually cost around £2.99. They are available at Boots and most other pharmacies and most supermarkets. And good news they nearly always seem to be on some offer somewhere, usually buy one get one free.
