I have used a lot of products by Johnsons mainly since I gave birth to our daughter. I always find them to be of high quality and generally speaking, they are also not too badly priced. I have problem skin in that I have an oily T zone to my face, and as such, I have to be careful that whatever I use doesn’t make the problem any worse than it already is.
I bought this 150ml sized soft plastic pink facial wash for £1.99 from Home Bargains. I am sure that it is normally more expensive that this but I thought this was a good price to pay.
I have used most of the tube now and I have had about 12 applications so far so a lot clearly goes a long way. The facial wash itself is not very think in consistency, which surprised me, as I was expecting something a little bit thicker. I lathers up well on damp skin and it has a lovely fresh gently scented smell which is really gorgeous.
It is a very moisturising product, as well as a product which managed to give my skin a really deep down kind of clean. My skin certainly eels and looks better after having used this product for a few weeks and I think that it is just as good as the more expensive products out there. The hole is perhaps just a tiny bit too large though as I always manage to get too much out at once and a little inevitable goes to waste.
Good product overall and I do recommend it.
I ended up with this product completely by accident when asking my Husband to get some Johnson's baby lotion, I couldn't be bothered to take it back so decided to make use of it. The product is from Johnson's but I haven't seen it recently but similar products from the brand are between £3-£4 so I would expect it to be about the same.
The cream comes in a soft plastic tube in pale pink which was why hubby got confused as he wasn't in the baby aisle doh!! the tube holds 150mls of the product and it has a flip top lid on it which I always think are best for cream and lotions as then even once it's in your hand you can reclose the tube. The tube is very simple with the Johnson's logo on and the name of the cream and then mine has a pink feather on it as it is for normal skin but you can get a blue feather for dry skin and a green feather for combination skin.
The cream in tube is pale pink in colour and is quite runny, I wet my face and then use my fingertips to lather a small amount of the product up on my skin. The cream lathers up really well and feels silky on my fingertips, once I have completed my face with my fingertips I generally use a damp warm flannel to remove the wash from my skin which takes a couple of rinses of the flannel to do.
Once the wash is totally removed and my skin is dry it feels nice and fresh, I don't find it leaves my skin very soft and a moisturiser is needed but it certainly seems to do the job of getting my skin clean which is afterall what a wash is for.
I would give this cream wash 4 stars as it is lacking in fragrance which is a shame and it doesn't really leave my skin soft.
I am sadly allergic to a number of random things that companies put into facial care products so finding the right stuff for me is a bit of a challenge. I have always trusted Johnson's products for my children so when I saw that they had a facial care range for adults I decided to give them a go. The 150ml tube of face wash was priced £3.25 at Boots.
In a house full of boys it was nice to bring the little pink tube home and place it on the dresser (he he he)! As doctors have never fully put their finger on exactly what it is I am allergic to I always take a deep breath before applying products. The wash itself is lovely and soft and didn't run all over the place which is a bonus! My skin is sensitive and dry (more dry than sensitive) so the pink tube with the blue feather is right for me.

One week of use later: ok so I am not glowing with youthful, model like skin but I am very pleased with the wash. It used to be that I would need to put some lotion on after washing my face because the skin would feel a bit dry and stretched afterwards but I have on a few days left the house without putting any on at all.
Johnson's has a bit more in the face care range so I may look into the face wipes and lotions when I run out of the ones I'm currently using. There is cheaper in the stores but with my skin I can't bargain hunt.
This morning I squeezed the contents of the tube into an empty soap thing that attaches to a Dettol no-touch dispenser and it has been tested and works perfectly. That's me being a bit picky but each to their own!
