“ Brand: Jurlique / Type: Face Oil / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types „
I love the smell of geranium and purchased my Jurlique Geranium Pure Essential Oil from my local health store for £8.99. The oil is pure and claims to be able to help during period of stress and also as a premenstrual symptom aid. It is suitable for using on all skin types, particularly oil-prone skin and can be used on the face and body.
Geranium oil is extracted from the Pelargonium Odorantissimum plant. It has a strong and distinctive smell that is floral in nature, with hints of mint underlying.
The essential oil is composed of various chemical constituents and includes a-pinene, myrcene, limonene, menthone, linalool, geranyl acetate, citronellol, geraniol and geranyl butyrate.
Geranium oil does not cause any side effects, since it is non-toxic, non-irritant and generally non-sensitizing, yet can cause sensitivity in some people and due to the fact that it balances the hormonal system, it should not be used during pregnancy.
Geranium oil blends well with oils such as angelica, basil, bergamot, carrot seed, cedarwood, citronella, clary sage, grapefruit, jasmine, lavender, lime, neroli, orange and rosemary.
Gernaium has an uplifting and overall balancing effect and can be used in an oil burner, added to your bath or mixed with lotions or a carrier oil and then massaged over the body.
I use my Geranium Oil to assist with periods of stress that are work related so I will add a few drops to my bath and unwind after a hard day and I also add it to an Almond carrier oil and use this to massage my neck and shoulders to relieve tension, I like to mix it with lavender to enhance the relaxation and also with lime to increase the uplifting effect.
I would recommend using this oil, Geranium Oil can be expensive, and it is always best to get pure oils, if you can as they will last longer and give a better overall scent, I will definitely be repurchasing this Jurlique Geranium oil again.
Pure essential is vital if you intend using oils for anything else except room fragrancing. There are essential oils, including a geranium one on the market which are mixed with all kinds of things including creosote. Take care and always buy a good brand of essential oil.
Jurlique geranium essential oil is pure one hundred percent oil so it is safe to use for all kinds of skin preparations and aromatherapy applications.
Geranium oil can be used as a perfume on its own but it also has benefits for women of all ages. It is excellent to use during the menopause and is good for lifting the spirits and relieving stress.
Geranium is said by aromatherapists to regulate hormones and act as a tonic on the lymphatic system. It is a bit like a detoxing oil.
Geranium oil can be mixed with chamomile and added to a carrier oil like apricot, or almond and it will sooth skin and decrease inflamation.
I would highly recommend geranium oil for adding to a bath, or massaging onto tender muscles, breasts and lower abdominal areas if you are using it for its hormonal regulation properties.
Jurlique is a reliable brand and you get the benefit of one hundred percent pure, quality oil without having to pay a high price. It should cost around £9.99 for a 10ml bottle but other brands can cost very much more. I would certainly use this brand again because the quality and the aroma are superb.
