“ Brand: L'Occitane / Type: Face Cream / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types „
L'Occitane have not so subtley indicated what they want the consumer to think of this product. And I must say I quite agree!!!
This was another item in my recent hoard (see the Honey and Lemon Eau De Toilette).
The tube is coloured plastic, with the bottom in an almost upside down fan silhouette. The bottom is a light yellow with the top a darker version. The pot contains 250ml, which is quite large for a face cream, but not so large for a body cream.
Again reduced from 28.50 - which I would opt not to pay for, to 19.90 which I justified badly in that it is under 20 quid and it matches the perfume!!!
The moisturizer claims that using a combination of grape vine, lemon tree, rosemary and sunflower it not only moisturizes but also softens skin. I initially started using it as a hand and body cream avoiding sensitive areas such as my face as I wasn't sure if any of the contents would irritate my sensitive skin. However after a few days, I did venture applying it to my cheeks and subsequently found it more of a soother than anything else.
My skin did feel well soaked and miraculously smoother - although this seems to me a temporary effect - it wore off after a few hours. Another positive was that the cream sank in very quickly not leaving any residue or shine.
The smell is lingering and lovely. It really smells like the combination of honey and lemon and this lasted throughout the day. I did feel very well scented when I was wearing both the cream and perfume and it did feel quite luxurious.
The price particularly when it goes back to RRP is a big negative, but aside from that this cream is something I would quite happily slather myself in frequently, although a possible problem is that it may clash with perfumes others than the matching one.
